Pension Patanka Praha

Towels are not provided in the room. I got mine the next day and it was a hand towel. You have to carry toilet paper from the room to the bathroom. The shower button needs to be pressed every 8 seconds to keep the tepid water flowing. The front desk is usually closed. The trash was overflowing in the stinky kitchen. The floors are very sticky. I left as soon as possible and paid other places to stay as there is no refund. The owners have no pride. There is also not much in the area other than a Kaufman.

We were truly impressed! The room was big, the beds comfy, the kitchen very well equipped and the bathrooms were always clean. Nearby there is a bus/tram stop and it takes only 4 stops to reach Hradčany. The personnel was very nice and helpful. The only minor downside was the road up the hill, it wasn't really that bad but after a all day of walking in Prague it wasn't helping. Anyway, I will recommend this Pension and return there for the next time in Prague.

We spent here 3 nights before and I must say that the owners even though they just started take it very seriously and are on the best way to create a family boutique price friendly hotel where the people are still close to the subway yet also near the nature. In the back therevis a beautifull terase with a good cook, you will get really good china. For the price you can get nothung better!! Clean bathroom, good wifi, nice people!

living at this hotel reminded me of my childhood. when I went to camp. modest accommodation. shared showers and toilets. I enjoyed it. accommodation is adequate to the price. breakfast modest. The hotel is quietly located on the outskirts of Prague. public transport is a few minutes away. the hotel has closed the restaurant, but a bit is a great grocery store. If you need to sleep 1-2 nights it's a good place for good money.

It has been a great joy to stay over this place, very quiet and close to public transportation. Kitchens were clean, the common spaces were very tidy and we were flexible on using rooms as we wished. Restaurant bar offered traditional Czech food, great and tasty. Would recommend it again for groups travel.

Clean and light rooms, very helpful staff, comfortable beds and good breakfast. In sunny weather, very nice roof space overlooking the woods, or outside at the front. Easy walk about six minutes downhill to Podbaba stop (trams 5 and 8, or a number of buses), or when you come back if you don't want to walk uphill, walk down from from U mateje (Bus 131) stop through wooded lane, about ten minutes. I have stayed here several times and would recommend to anyone - though if you have difficulty walking you would need a car. Excellent lunch and evening meal if you walk up to U mateje at Stara Fara or other restaurants. Supermarkets both by Podbaba and at U mateje.

We stayed for one night, we were a little late, but we got our keys, we liked everything, thank you.

Not exactly as expected, but lower than average. Pros: bed was ok & sheets clean. There was free parking on site, and the price was extraordinarily cheap, considering there was breakfast included for two. It's really quiet. Cons: everything else. Nobody speaks any international language, bathrooms are shared and not clean, breakfast is what you'd expect from the price range. It's an hour away walk-time, half an hour tram-time, and 15min drive away from any main attraction. It all comes down to how needy you are and what your standards are.
