Our second visit to this very hospitable very traditional Pension. We love it. It's not a hotel so if you are after that sort of over valued luxury go to one of the many faceless hotels in town. This is a family run pension offering superb views, in a great quiet location, just a ten minute pretty walk from town or an easy bus ride. Don't forget to ask the owner for a Welcome card as you then get free bus and tran rides! Breakfast is a lovely spread of cereals, fruit, jams, cheese, ham , cake and yoghurt. I can't understand wht some people here aren't happy with that ! Bedrooms are simple , clean, conformable, and quiet. It's a very traditional old house. And all exceptional value for innsbruck. It's a good opportunity to practice your German with the owner, though you will also be fine if you haven't bothered to learn any!

The owner is the nicest person we met amongst the many kind Austrians we interacted with during our 2-week road trip earlier this month. His large house is within walking distance from the city center, very well located with a nice view. Rooms are comfortable with good beds. Breakfast is varied and plentiful. We highly recommend! (indeed only cash is accepted, price around 250 EUR for two rooms and a total of 6 guests)

In a hurry to find a hotel available for the same night, we found a place at Pension Paula. We were welcomed kindly in English by the owner, which was very pleasant for us non-german speakers. The owner was very relaxed, we could arrive 10 mins after we called, and could do payment/information in the morning which was very considerate. We got the key (that also opens the front door so you can come and go as you please) and the information. We paid €95 for a double room for one night with breakfast!!, which was cheaper than all other options tried. The breakfast was plentiful and diverse. The chocolate cake is recommended :). Because of the flexible reception, the kind attitude of the host and the very good price/quality ratio, I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

This is a simple, lovely, family owned hotel. Beautiful views, wonderful balcony, simple and immaculately clean accommodations. The staff are all wonderful and helpful. It's a 10-15 minute walk or so to the center of town or a very easy, short bus ride, also easy access to great hiking trails. Great Austrian breakfast served from 7-10AM. Great WIFI. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Only there one night, but really wish I could have stayed longer! Innsbruck is smashingly beautiful and Pension Paula is situated on a slope overlooking the city, so great views. It was a bit of a pain to get there from the train station (two short bus rides the last of which stops just outside the pension) but once you are there it is peaceful and only a ten/fifteen minute walk downhill into town. ||||I had a single room which was clean, comfortable, spacious and also had a washbasin. The shared toilet and shower were right next door and were also kept in a clean condition throughout my stay. The cost was reasonable (especially for an expensive city!) and also included a nice breakfast in the traditional Austrian style. Internet is also available. ||||Wolfgang was a helpful host who assisted cheerfully with all enquiries. ||||It's a long way from home for me, but I very much hope to come back one day :)

Views. Tick. Close to town (although everything is close to town, just depends on whether there's a hill). Tick. Breakfast included. Tick. Friendly and accommodating. Tick. Service efficient and with a smile. Tick. Value for money. Tick.||||I could bang on about this Pension/B&B for hours. It's easily the first place to start searching when considering a room in my favourite place. I needed a place for a single for 2 weeks during the Road Cycling Championships and Wolfgang and the team hosted me better than ever. I was even sick of carrying a dreadfully packed backpack and they helped me out by holding my bag until I returned for another night later during my trip (only one more night because the rooms were fully booked for the whole period I wanted to stay). Saved my back and a couple of bucks in left luggage fees at the same time. It may be a walk, but the bus is available, as is parking. I like the walk. Do yourselves a favour and visit Innsbruck and stay at Pension Paula. Nb. It is a Guesthouse. There are no Hot Buffet Breakfasts. Just traditional Austrian breads, meats and cheeses so if you're looking for bacon and eggs, this is possibly not the place for you. European style pillows are the only setback, and I can forgive in this instance.

Be careful they will ask you to pay cash and double the price !!! We were asked to pay the same price than a 4 stars hotel at check out in cash !!! Without warning for a very basic pension . Breakfast was not good very limited options not an Austrian breakfast no toiletries in bathroom only hand towels . Be careful scam impossible to have a receipt Avoid !

Pension Paula met our expectations. We arrived in Innsbruck by train, and took a short taxi ride to the Pension (10 euros). Great views across the City from our room. We walked into Town (15 minutes). Breakfast was adequate. Room was very clean.

Yelp
Recently we (2A/1K) stayed overnight in the pension Paula. We really liked it very well. Registration, reservation and also our stay were accomplished professionally and very friendly. The pension is quite small - and without evening program etc. - however, whoever does not need the typical tourist Halligalli will like it. It is small, clean and cosy, let's you feel at home for a few days. TV had not been available in our room - but it seems there is WLAN available in the breakfast room. We did not try out. Heading towards the center of town, you can enjoy a beautiful footpath along the river Inn. In about 20 minutes you will reach the Golden Roof - even with kids! The breakfast was very good and fresh, however fruits were missing to us. Therefore we give 4 stars - would there be a 4,5 stars rating, we would have given it. Result: Whoever looks for a freindly, clean and neat place a bit away from the tourist spots, enjoys the beautiful view may get the best place to stay for a few nights. ...and us? - we will visit again. (By the way, the photo is the view from our room over Innsbruck).
