Decent hotel at excellent location Positive Right at the entrance to the old town, and located near the main traffic area for easy connection. Fairly cheaply priced for a good location. The place is clean and wi-fi worked well most times. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not so positive It's located in the old building so it comes with its own problems because of that. There is a reason why ventilator was placed inside the room. It gets hot during the summer, even when windows are open. Opening and closing windows is a challenge on its own, I had to use some force for that. The fan is very loud and not that powerful to make much difference when it's working. During the night I had to have windows open at all times, it helped a little bit. The concern was that the noise from the street would keep me from going to sleep, but it didn't. The street is located near the US embassy, hence why the traffic is partially closed. So I didn't hear much during the night, except for the garbage truck. Check-in process was confusing, since I had to go to another building close by, make sure to read that email message from hotel with exact details! Within the building itself the noise insulation wasn't that great, I could hear my neighbors coming in and out, at the same time, I didn't hear anything else, maybe they were very quiet ?

I would highly recommend a stay here! All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is 10/10, with less than a 2 minute walk to the Old Town (Stare Mesto) where you'll find a strip of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Further along are key attractions like St Michael's Gate and the Old Town Hall and Presidential Palace. Breakfast is available too and is well prepared. The rooms are clean and are secure. Overall, a great place to stay in Bratislava. There is also a restaurant downstairs which offers reasonably priced traditional meals. The coffee is also great!

Amazing location, clean and comfortable rooms! This pension have perfect location, you are already directly in city centre. We visited Bratislava during christmas markets and it was just 100 meters from pension. We had rooms for 4 persons for very good price. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I fully recommend this pension!

Best Slovakia Tours arranged our accomodation at Pension Berg,Bratislava. |The room was very comfortable with many power outlets( good for recharging tablets and phones)|The staff spoke English and were all excellent in their various roles. |Breakfast was included in the tariff and provided a good selection.|It was situated over the river from Old Town , but taxis, called by the Pension, were prompt and inexpensive.|We can recommend this Pension as a pleasant , quiet place to stay.

Loved this place. The owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was spacious and tidy, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the restaurant downstairs perfectly cosy. The breakfast was great too. I'd recommend this to anyone who prefers to support small family-run businesses and likes ambient atmosphere. I would not chose any other hotel on my next visit to Bratislava.

We had a great stay, rooms are clean and spacious, the 2-room suite is ideal for a family. Brilliant traditional large breakfast, with different options both days we stayed. Fantastic central location close to twin city liner terminal, and the old town. Service with a smile and nothing too much trouble, including helping to sort out our overdue airport transfer. Highly recommend this place if you like a more traditional, local place.

We only stayed here for 1 night passing through Bratislava, the pension is central and clean and does what it says on the tin.||It is only 2 minutes walk for all that there is to see in Bratislava.||The room was clean and tidy and quiet, everything you need for a good nights sleep.||The only suggestion I would have is access to the a fridge and kettle to make a cup of tea and store cold drinks. Then I could have stayed longer.||The host is polite, accommodating and informative. All in all for a short break it is ok.

It is ideally located in the centre of the old city of Bratislava, very close to the river Danube. With it being located in the old city using public transport to get to it is difficult, as pulling suit cases across cobbled streets was hard.||The building the Penzion is in is very old, so it has those old quirks that come with this, narrow staircases, squeaky floorboards, odd shaped rooms.||We stayed in the two bedroom apartment, was a good size for four adults. The bathroom was a bit small but it met our needs. ||With is being an old building the owner is having trouble convincing the city to let him install AC in the rooms.||The breakfast is al carte style, just ask and if they have it in the kitchen they will make it for you. Do not expect big steak and eggs though.
