EXTREMELY scary incident: Like the others, I agree this is a very cool 700 year old building (I'd suggest avoiding the ancient elevator) that was clean and charming. HOWEVER, the receptionist is only there for a few hours a day in the morning. When we arrived, the entire building (not just the very small hotel) appeared to be vacant. There was no recptionist and we did not see any other guests. All was initially fine until three male guests arrived and scared us so badly we had to call for a police excort out of the building and got a new hotel. There were no phones and no staff to help us (two women). We were trapped inside with these men until the police came. The next morning, I called (very hard time getting through to the receptionist) and she said she'd send me a link to dispute, which she never did. I didn however, receive a full reund later. A man, who I suspect was the owner or manager, called the new hotel to argue with the receptionist to say that I should have canceled late that night when we were busy being escorted out by the police and finding a new hotel. I called the next morning during the three-hour window when the receptionist works, and she did not answer. Unless you are OK being locked in a 700 year old building alone and taking your chances with the guests, I'd avoid this at all costs. It's a tragedy waiting to happen.
