Pension Silvapina

Sometimes I wonder whether I should share a good secret and run the risk of not being able to book in at another time. Putting all selfishness aside I’m sharing my secret. This is a lovely third generation family run business and I felt really at home here. It is comprised of two traditional buildings with a connecting tunnel (where the sauna is)! We had a room in the original building with a huge balcony and a kitchenette. The views from the balcony were glorious and a joy to wake up to every morning. Breakfast was all laid out in the morning and there was no shortage of tempting things to chose from. The packed lunches were great and after a day of hiking/cycling dinner was always tasty, well presented and much appreciated. After dinner we went into the lounge with other guests where father, son and his partner joined us for much chatter and post dinner drinks. To be honest I couldn’t have felt more comfortable and at home. It was a wonderful experience and the hosts and staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. They are full of knowledge of the hiking trails, things to do and ski routes. I can’t wait to return.

This is a family run hotel where one can look forward to going "home" to, at the end of a busy day.||The staff are really lovely and so welcoming. The evening meal is excellent and extremely good value.||Just a few minutes walk from the Madrisa lift makes this a lovely destination winter or summer.||If you prefer more of a "country" feel than a noisy town, then this is the place to stay, as it is surrounded by small chalets and fields, but still accessible with the bus stop a couple of minutes stroll.||Many different styles of rooms available in the original chalet and the annexe. Highly recommended.

We stayed in this hotel with 2 adults and 3 children because it is close to the Madrissa bahn, the cable that saved us a few hundred hight meters in the Pratigauer Hohenweg. The owners are super friendly and helpful. One of our daughters had forgotten her camera in the room and they have sent it to our home at no cost. They also let us park our car at their premises while we were doing our 4-day walk.||||We stayed in a spacious apartment on the top floor of the second building, in which you could easily stay a week during the ski season. The food was simple and good and although I had forgotten to announce that I'm vegetarian they were able to adapt on the spot. Although it is close to a railway crossing (with an annoying warning sound when trains cross) I certainly recommend this hotel.

Delightful hotel with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and great views. Not the height of luxury but perfectly acceptable in all aspects and terrific value. Staff are charm personified. Location is a short distance from the main town but a quick hop on the frequent bus service. I have no doubt we will return.

Just spent one night at this hotel. It is very central next to the Madrisa lift. It has good, free parking space. The owners are very nice. The rooms are spacious and have all the necessary things. The price is very reasonable. We also had a 5 dish dinner at the hotel, which wis nice and tasty. I would definitely recommend it and will be going back again.

This is an old style hotel with wooden structures and a sitting room with a roaring open fire. It is run by a couple who speak several languages and who do the cooking and administration between them. Rooms vary in what they offer but it is possible to request certain rooms eg with a view, with a bath (rather than a shower which seems standard). Food is good and plentiful and vegetarians are catered for. The hotel is well placed near to bus stops and the local railway station. There is also an annexe with an underground connecting passage.

We were a family of 16 - children ranging from 2 to 11 - and 7 adults. Apart from the tunnel which was a little apprehensive making for the small children, The Hotel Silvapina couldnt be a better location for everyone - the train and the buses so close to the hotel. Florian and Dagmar were wonderful hostesses and put up with a gaggle of children for breakfast and supper with a great deal of understanding. The food and wine flowed every evening and we all enjoyed our return to Klosters after 5 years away. Thankyou. We loved the visit to the cow sheds and particularly the rabbit!

Everything was as it should be - excellent fixed-menu 5 course dinner for CHF30 and lovely breads for breakfast. Nice room with valley view. Good location two minutes from Dorf station. Hosts very welcoming
