Very convenient place to stay while visiting Salzburg. 10 min walk to the train station, even closer to supermarkets. If there is something to improve it's definitely the comfort of the rooms and probably the guesthouse need a renovation. Breakfast is honest. I don't know if they use local milk or industrial products, but it would be great to have a "slow food" kind of breakfast considering all the wonderful local products, but I get that to keep prices competitive, you need to budget yourself somewhere. Recommended and we will be back next time.

My family and our friends had wonderful holidays in this place! Everything was perfect: location, room, breakfast, hosts.||Pension located about 10 minutes walk tthrough the quiet village from Hallein station (it is about 20 minutes to Salzburg by train). ||We had big renovated room with a huge terasse, The room and bathroom were very clean and had new furniture and fresh linen. Wifi was fast. It was absolutely great view from our balcony and breakfast room. ||Breakfast was reach: it was eggs, cheese, ham, yougurt, juices and delicious its own baked goods like cake and mint cookies made by host Christine!||Christine and all her family speak english very well, everybody was very friendly and kind and we enjoyed communicating with them.||Me and my friends will be happy to be back again!

We visited this pension in last may with our friends. We arrived quite late and they still welcome us very friendly attitude. The staff were so nice, gave us good restaurant tips, made very delicious breakfest and were so happy attitude. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice pool outside and the famous eagle's nest was near this pension. This was Also near highway so this was easy to found. We can highly recommend this place for everybody!

The breakfast was considered good. The woman in charge was very attentive. The room was clean, only the bathroom was inadequate.

This was the last stop on my 3 week trip touring around Europe. I stayed at this Bed n' Breakfast for 4 days and it was most accommodating. The prices were affordable and the owner is delightful. Also, if you're looking for a place to stay with a view, I can't think of a better place. This place is located in such a way that you have a great view of mountain ranges nearby right outside your window. Also, although the Downtown area of Hallein is on the smaller side, it's absolutely adorable. There are plenty of cafes along the small waterside and shops to go to while you stay in Hallein. Plus, most of the downtown area is within walking distance of the BnB. There's a train station between the BnB and downtown. Getting around to Salzburg or other nearby cities is very easy. Look into buying a 24 or 48 hour pass (through öbb) if you plan to use the trains a fair amount. This is much more affordable. Overall, I had a great experience at Pension Sommerauer and will recommend it to my family and friends. Great breakfast, great views, great location, fair pricing.

We, a family of five, came across this pension by chance during our drive from Germany to Croatia. We enjoyed our overnights stay so much that we made a point of staying again on the return trip. The proprietor, Christine, is truly a hostess who pours her heart into her endeavor. She made every effort to make us feel truly at home and ensure a pleasurable stay for us. Truly exceptional!

I found this B&B in the Lonely Planet guide, got a quick response in English when booking. Christine, the owner, was extremely welcoming, speaking excellent English too. The breakfast was all laid out with boiled eggs cooked to order. Our room was large and decorated in a traditionally Austrian way with dark wood. The location was good, easy to find being just off the autobahn and also walking distance from the town itself, around 15 minutes through a village road and then cycle/footpath, which meant we didn't have to take the car out to find somewhere to eat. Highly recommended.
