Due to our flight from the US being canceled, we only had one fun-filled night in Venice back in Feb 2024, and we’re so happy that we chose this hotel! It really helped shape a wonderful 30-hour experience in Venice! We left most of our ski gear and luggage in overnight locker storage at the airport, and hopped on the alliguna water taxi from the airport directly into the heart of Venice. There are two easily accessible stops off the grand canal (Accademia & Ca’ Rezzenoco) depending on which line you’re on a.k.a. blue or orange line and/or local vaperrettos. The Accademia Bridge also gives you walking access close by and it’s only a 10-15 minute walk to St Marks Square. In fact, we walked just about everywhere and this location was perfect if you’re looking for something much more genuine and quiet than crowded touristy hotels straddling the square. The staff was so nice and friendly. Breakfast was amazing! I only wish we had a few more days in Venice so we could relax on the property a little longer.

This hotel was everything we'd hoped for during our trip to Venice. It offered a nice central location for us to explore the city from and provided all the comforts we could want when we returned at the end of the day. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and the staff was warm and attentive. The hotel was a short walk from the vaporetti station making it easily accessible, and yet it is slightly off the main routes, offering some quiet and privacy. The building itself is beautiful with well maintained gardens outside and classical furnishings and marble stonework throughout the interior. Our room was cozy and well appointed and offered a great view of the canal. Our only criticisms being that the beds might be a little firm for some and the bathroom was slightly on the small side.

The hotel is quiet and charming. The rooms are clean and the bed was comfortable and we had a canal view, which was great. The English channel options on the TV were good too compared to other hotels we stayed in in Italy. The air-conditioning worked well. There are no elevators though. The porter took our bags to the room, which was one flight of stairs, but this hotel isn't for anyone who can't do stairs. The buffet breakfast was ok - not too many options, but enough to find something you like. The hotel location was good - a scenic 25 minute stroll to St Marks Square. There are restaurants and bars near the hotel, and we felt safe. There is a nice outdoor bar/sitting area where you can have a drink or eat, overlooking the canal. There is also a garden at the back to relax in. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it has a good location, is comfortable and clean, and was reasonably priced for Venice, and we felt it was a hidden gem.

This former Russian embassy has LOTS of personality. The continental breakfast is the best I ever had, and the after hours bar serves reasonably price drinks to enjoy in one of their many sitting areas. Terrific staff too and close to the Accademia vaporetto stop with only one small bridge crossing. If this hotel is in your price range, stop looking and book it.

I loved so much about this hotel. First, the location. It's pretty close to the Accademia vaporetta stop. And, it is located one row back from the grand channel which is very busy with boat traffic. Second, it is so charming. Beautiful gardens, marble staircase, antique furniture - it feels very authentic. The room bathrooms were modern but fit right in with the Venetian charm. The staff was very friendly. The included breakfast was so good - they had everything you could want and then some. I really enjoyed staying here and would recommend.

We have always wanted to stay in a hotel in Venice overlooking a canal and this hotel overlooks three canals so perfect! |It is easy to reach the hotel from the nearest waterbus stop, just a ten minute walk, and from the moment we arrived until we left the staff were both friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the canals and was a mixture of practical luxury and antique style in keeping with the property itself. The breakfasts are great, with the cakes a temptation too far, you really do need to walk around Venice to account for the extra calories! Being near Acadamia bridge it is easy to walk to the main sites within Venice, however it is also pleasant just to wander around the slightly less crowded canals near the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and if you see one you like it is worth reserving a table. There are two bars just along the canal from the hotel which offer amazing value drinks which you can enjoy sitting on the walls outside.|This really is the perfect place to stay in Venice and it offers an oasis of calm away from the throngs f visitors to the city.|We had a wonderful stay and if you are going to Venice it is definitely worth staying here.

This was a great hotel in Venice. The Accademia neighborhood was centrally located but away from the noisy bustle. The hotel is close to the Vaporetto stop. Hotel staff was very attentive and helpful. The rooms were quite comfortable with good beds and very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I found the cleaning and breakfast staff and the guys who helped me with my bags to be the most kind and helpful. The best part of the stay, including Nestor and his Pomeranian Gucci who made me smile. I thank them. The women at the front desk staff didn’t give the best service. Their answers to a few simple requests like if they could tell me more about the hotel felt lackluster and like they didn’t care behind what felt like a fake customer service front. For that reason, I wouldn’t return Room was pretty though I didn’t care for the body wash scent. Breakfast was good
