Pensione Accademia was an excellent place to stay in Venice. It is very quiet yet conveniently located and has beautiful, well-appointed rooms. Our rooms had great views of the canal. It has wonderful outside areas to relax in both the front and the back. We enjoyed their restaurant where you can sit either inside or outside on the canal with good food for both breakfast and lunch. Their staff provide excellent service. An additional benefit is that they have their own spot on the canal for water taxi pick-up & drop-off. We highly recommend it.

Pensione Accademia exceeded my expectations in every way. When booking, I was a bit worried about the fact that it is a 3-star property, and the 4-star locations on my list were unfortunately unavailable or out of my price range. However, from the moment I arrived, all of my worries instantly evaporated.||An employee rushed out to take my bags off my hands (something I've only ever really experienced in a 5-star property), and after a seamless check-in, personally led me up to my cozy single room with a stunning view of the front garden and neighboring canals. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom well laid-out. ||Movable shutters on the window allow for a pitch-black sleeping experience- amazing! ||Breakfast was varied and delicious. Elegantly prepared and something to look forward to upon waking up. ||The hotel itself is tucked away just between Ca' Rezzonico and the Gallerie Dell’Accademia, hidden away off a quiet alley, and completely silent at night. A pleasant front garden (a rarity in Venice) made me feel like I was on an outer island- not the middle of the city! The immediate neighborhood is one of my favorites in Venice due to its local flair, no hoards of tourists and plenty of genuine, reputable dining establishments nearby.||Overall, I would not hesitate to return to Pensione Accademia. Don't let the 3-stars fool you, this hotel is home to 4-star facilities (at minimum) and 5-star service through and through!

The service was top-notch. The porter helped me get my large suitcase up (and down) the three flights of stairs to my room; the staff remembered every morning that I wanted a tray so I could bring breakfast up to my room to eat; and my room was neat as a pin every evening when I got back to it.||The room, on the other hand, was not so great. The way to get to it involved multiple twists and turns and if I didn't have a good sense of direction I probably would have gotten lost on the way at least once.||As a solo traveler, I'm used to small rooms in awkward corners. The room was definitely small, but the shower was ridiculously tiny. I have an average sized woman's body and I could barely turn around in the shower without knocking into the door. I think it was more awkward than the shower I had in Paris that was literally under the slope of a garret roof. Anyone of a larger body size would not have been able to fit in the shower.||The bed and I had a hate-hate relationship. It was *extremely* firm (one step down from concrete). As someone who needs a little give to their mattress so their back doesn't hurt, it was not good for my back pain. The pillows are also very smooshy and you only get one unless you request more (brought to the room promptly).||The location is good; it's within easy walking distance of three vaporetto stops and the Accademia bridge. There are also some restaurants and shops close by.

We stayed here for a few days with family: bery nice rooms, great lobby with a fire place, cute gardens on 2 sides. Yummie breakfast. Very clean and warm in winter :) |Some rooms are up steep stairs, but ours was on the ground floor just out of the courtyard garden - absolutely amazing.

We loved this hotel. It is the old idea of what a hotel sould be. It is quiet. It’s location is excellent. It has old charm but is up to date. It is very reasonably priced. We had an unfortunate theft of a credit card whilst we were buying a vaporetto ticket but returned to the hotel immediately and a very helpful member of the staff (Sara) assisted us in calls to the bank to have it blocked. We shall return.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay here and loved everything about it. Beautiful hotel, great rooms, wonderful breakfast, lovely staff and in the best location. We will be back in a heartbeat, it's the best that place we have stayed in Venice. Thank you.

A Gem! Lovely hotel in a perfect location, away from the throngs but still near to everything. They offer iced cold tea and small snacks throughout the day. The breakfast was delicious and abundant, the rooms were comfortable but the staff is where they truly stand out. There is always someone to help direct you, assist with luggage or offer recommendations. I hadn't even realized I left behind some very valuable items (in a drawer) when they emailed me to let me know. The small-hotel service and attention to answering my worried emails about shipping was stellar. They arranged to send my things back to the US, kept me updated and packaged everything for a safe return. I couldn't have been happier with Pensione Accademia and the people that are a part of it.

Outstanding! Top quality accommodation. Beautiful building, friendly and efficient staff. Lovely room with a view. Comfortable, quiet, clean and delicious complementary breakfast. Gorgeous surroundings. Perfect location, next to the Accademia bridge with spectacular view along the Grand Canal. Only ten minutes walk into central Venice. Would highly recommend.
