We have always wanted to stay in a hotel in Venice overlooking a canal and this hotel overlooks three canals so perfect! |It is easy to reach the hotel from the nearest waterbus stop, just a ten minute walk, and from the moment we arrived until we left the staff were both friendly and helpful. Our room overlooked the canals and was a mixture of practical luxury and antique style in keeping with the property itself. The breakfasts are great, with the cakes a temptation too far, you really do need to walk around Venice to account for the extra calories! Being near Acadamia bridge it is easy to walk to the main sites within Venice, however it is also pleasant just to wander around the slightly less crowded canals near the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants near the hotel and if you see one you like it is worth reserving a table. There are two bars just along the canal from the hotel which offer amazing value drinks which you can enjoy sitting on the walls outside.|This really is the perfect place to stay in Venice and it offers an oasis of calm away from the throngs f visitors to the city.|We had a wonderful stay and if you are going to Venice it is definitely worth staying here.

This was a great hotel in Venice. The Accademia neighborhood was centrally located but away from the noisy bustle. The hotel is close to the Vaporetto stop. Hotel staff was very attentive and helpful. The rooms were quite comfortable with good beds and very clean. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I spent almost a week here, and loved it. The location is great, so convenient for walking or hopping on a vaporetto. The hotel itself is an attractive, and very interesting, building, with lots of quirky features. There's a private courtyard at the front and a garden at the rear, where you can sit and relax, away from the crowds. My single room was small, but lovely, with a good bathroom and views out to the Grand Canal. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and good, with proper Italian coffee available, and all the staff I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I found the cleaning and breakfast staff and the guys who helped me with my bags to be the most kind and helpful. The best part of the stay, including Nestor and his Pomeranian Gucci who made me smile. I thank them. The women at the front desk staff didn’t give the best service. Their answers to a few simple requests like if they could tell me more about the hotel felt lackluster and like they didn’t care behind what felt like a fake customer service front. For that reason, I wouldn’t return Room was pretty though I didn’t care for the body wash scent. Breakfast was good

A wonderful experience -- in every way ! ||-We arrived by water taxi to the Pensione Accademia's pier. Very helpful staff carried our luggage directly upstairs to the type of room requested: beautiful room on first floor (above ground floor), in a quiet location, overlooking the garden.|-A lovely bar offered refreshments.|-Breakfast was excellent: bountiful buffet, and fully staffed service that kept the buffet freshly refilled. The garden is an ideal place for breakfast in good weather.|-The Pensione made dinner reservatiions for us -- and restaurants are within easy walking distance.|-The neighborhood is quiet and uncrowded -- wonderful location for visits to museums.|-For departure, the staff carried our baggage to the pier for the return by water taxi.|-Pensionne Academia offers everthing for the best of Venice !

Our first stop on our Italian honeymoon, and it quickly became one of our favorite hotels. The location is perfect, the staff are warm and welcoming, and breakfast was delicious every morning. They even offered us a spritz as a welcome drink as we checked in! Opening the windows to a view of the canals was a truly special experience. Highly recommended for a romantic and authentic Venice stay.

What an amazing find, this hotel is in the heart of Venice with beautiful gardens a brilliant place to unwind. |My daughter and granddaughter shared a large garden room and I had an adjoining room which was perfect.|From the moment we walked in we were made to feel welcome by staff who had been there for years yet still loved their job and were very proud of the hotel.|The breakfast was just phenomenal so much to choose from and of a very high standard.|Our rooms were cleaned everyday with towel changes if needed.|Really hope to return one day.

The staff was friendly, location was walkable, there was a water bus stop close to us, the courtyard was so peaceful, breakfast was delicious. Only fault was, we wish the bed was more comfortable, we had 3 different hotels in Italy and this was by far the hardest bed we’ve ever slept on. I would recommend a mattress topper for more comfort.
