Pensione Accademia exceeded my expectations in every way. When booking, I was a bit worried about the fact that it is a 3-star property, and the 4-star locations on my list were unfortunately unavailable or out of my price range. However, from the moment I arrived, all of my worries instantly evaporated.||An employee rushed out to take my bags off my hands (something I've only ever really experienced in a 5-star property), and after a seamless check-in, personally led me up to my cozy single room with a stunning view of the front garden and neighboring canals. The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom well laid-out. ||Movable shutters on the window allow for a pitch-black sleeping experience- amazing! ||Breakfast was varied and delicious. Elegantly prepared and something to look forward to upon waking up. ||The hotel itself is tucked away just between Ca' Rezzonico and the Gallerie Dell’Accademia, hidden away off a quiet alley, and completely silent at night. A pleasant front garden (a rarity in Venice) made me feel like I was on an outer island- not the middle of the city! The immediate neighborhood is one of my favorites in Venice due to its local flair, no hoards of tourists and plenty of genuine, reputable dining establishments nearby.||Overall, I would not hesitate to return to Pensione Accademia. Don't let the 3-stars fool you, this hotel is home to 4-star facilities (at minimum) and 5-star service through and through!
