Pensione Hotel Perth

Just wrapped up my five night stay at the Pensione. I really enjoyed my stay. I felt comfortable, safe, and really appreciated the fact that I could walk everywhere. Staff at the hotel were very friendly, welcoming and kind. I had a Petite Queen room which was definitely small but adequate for one person. There was limited space to put your things: three clothes hangers, a coat hook, but again it was fine for one person traveling with only a small suitcase. The room was clean and provided a safe, a mini fridge, a kettle, coffee, tea, coffee cream, glasses and cups. Housekeeping was available daily. My bed was very comfortable with a soft mattress (which I love) but I noticed the room was a bit dusty. I appreciated the fact that you could open a window slightly for fresh air. Overall, the 7th floor was quiet, despite being right by the elevator. Just the room doors are rather loud when opened/ closed. The location of the hotel is one block away from the CBD. You will notice some people experiencing homelessness in the hotel vicinity, which shocked me a bit when I first arrived, but I felt safe throughout my stay as a female traveling solo. But I also never returned to the hotel later than 8pm. The location of the hotel is perfect and I could walk everywhere. Consider participating in one of the city's free walking tours! Being so close to the CBD, lots of shops, restaurants, supermarkets, cafés in walking distance. I really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant "Jigoro" a few steps from the hotel. I took the airport train ($5.20 one way) to the hotel and got off at McIver Station as instructed by Google Maps. I arrived around 7pm and the station was rather empty and only a small, poorly lit walkway lead to the main streets. It took me a while to find the correct direction and I definitely felt a bit uneasy as some unhoused people hung around nearby. If you arrive after dark and are by yourself, I advise you to get off at Perth Station. It'll take a few minutes longer to reach the hotel but it avoids the dark side streets and you'll be coming through the CBD which is well lit and there'll be people. All in all, I would absolutely stay here again primarily due to the hotel's friendly staff, its warm and cozy atmosphere and its location allowing me to walk everywhere including getting to the airport train.

A great room for the night, staff were very helpful, twin room was small but cosy and windows were really soundproof which was great! Were able to leave our luggage there for a while after checkout too, and within walking distance to cafes and hay street. Great place, will stay again

Outstanding, love this hotel. Location, staff, comfort, value for money, OUTSTANDING. Have stayed at this property over the past 10 years for our annual Perth trip and it never disappoints. Staff, friendly and always smiling. Nothing too challenging when request made. Gentleman who checked us in on for this stay, bubbly even at 11:30pm. My second visit and just as good as the first. All of the staff, including the cleaners, are friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms have everything that you need and are super clean. The location is fantastic. I felt very welcomed and safe.

Recently furbished hotel. Very clean and fresh. Bathroom was very bright and everything in the room was cleaned to a high standard every day. The café next door does various breakfasts but was quite expensive. In fact, everything in Perth was pricey. Especially for me as I'd come from Indonesia. Staff in the hotel were friendly and knowledgeable.

My recent stay at Pensione Hotel was absolutely delightful! The location of the hotel is another highlight—it’s conveniently situated near the Central Business District (CBD) and within walking distance of vibrant street malls. This made it incredibly easy to explore the city, shop, and access nearby attractions without the hassle of long commutes. The room itself was a haven of comfort. The bed was plush and inviting, the décor modern yet cozy, and every detail was thoughtfully designed to ensure a restful stay. It was truly super comfy, and I felt completely at home during my visit. What made the experience even better was the outstanding hospitality of the hotel staff. They were warm, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was providing recommendations, arranging transportation, or simply engaging in a cheerful conversation, the staff’s dedication to guest satisfaction was evident at every turn. In summary, Pensione Hotel exceeded my expectations with its amazing scents, prime location, ultra-comfortable rooms, and exceptional service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing stay near the heart of the city!

【Bedroom 🆚 Bathroom: Two Different Experiences】 ❇️ Room was small but clean and comfortable. ‼️ Bathroom inconvenient with fixed shower head and separate hot/cold handles. The bin in my room was broken. 🔊 Loud street cleaning truck noise every night. ⚠️ $200 credit card pre-authorisation taken as security deposit: ✅A receipt given on charge, ❌but no proof of release at checkout. ✱Hotel should improve this for clarity and peace of mind. 👍🏼 Excellent location. Friendly and helpful staff.

Great experience staying here. Hotel smelt nice and the location was very conducive. I mostly saw Mr Rajat when I was there and he provided excellent service. Always smiling and helping customers, including carrying their luggage across the street. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe throughout my trip. My only suggestion is to perhaps invest in a ramp in the future so that people do not have to carry their luggages up the entrance. Other wise, great hotel. Bed was comfortable. Housekeeping was good too! Will stay again!

A pleasant enough place, enjoyed room service. Delicious brownie cake with icecream. Great view, huge bed. Loved the toiletaries.

The best place to stay if there's anything that needs attending to in the city. Especially if you book early via Agoda.com Strategically located and just love the compactness and coziness of the hotel and moneys worth when booked via Agoda.

Had a wonderful stay here. One night in a queen room for $98! On the 5th floor with a window that actually opens so was able to get fresh air! The room was small but the bed was so comfortable! Had tea and coffee making. Also being a booking.com user I got a late 1pm check out which was amazing! I was really happy to give a $100 cash deposit most hotels require 150-200 that gets frozen and can take 5 days! So this was great to be able to hand over cash and get it back when I checked out! The staff were friendly and would definitely stay again. Right in the heart of the city close to bars and McDonald's.

This hotel was a bag of surprises, not only is room service between unreasonable hours, there is little to no parking, no mention of complimentary gifts or offers, for a double room there is barely any breathing space, no room for clothes or bags. Pillows were hard and underneath sheets there was an abundance of hairs - to wake up and know I've slept on that all night doesn't instill a good nights rest. Biggest fail was the fact the windows weren't polarised or tinted so I could visibly see into my room from the street.
