Stayed one night in a twin room. Basic hotel and room but clean and spacious with a large bar fridge, stove top and sink which look new. Complimentary coffee machine in the office. Thankyou to the manager who drove us to the train station after the taxi he booked for us didn't show up in time.

This is a charmless but functional place that delivers basic comfort at a reasonable price for Norway. It seems to serve aging middle-income backpacker types who can't deal with shared showers anymore, like myself and my husband. Our rooms were up a flight of steep, narrow stairs and through a heavy hallway door, not easy if you're dragging a suitcase. ||The room was dowdy but clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom and good shower and a well-stocked kitchenette. Like almost everywhere we stayed in the country, only one of us had a bedside table and reading lamp. ||The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. They let us stack our luggage in a corner of the small reception while sight-seeing on our last day. Tea and coffee machines are in the reception.

I had a really nice stay of several night at Pensionat Jarlen. ||The room was clean, the staff very friendly and you had good equipment at your disposal in the kitchen. ||The price was really good, for what you got. ||The accomodation is quiet and very well located, about 10 minutes to thr airport bus, about 15 minutes to the train station, and close to public transport and the attractions, in the city center.

We were in room 24 and it was quiet (which was around the back of the building). There was a good amount of space in the room with 2 comfortable chairs. There is no desk, but this isn't a lodging for work. it had a small cooktop and fridge. They had a washing machine and dryer which really helped. The location is about 250 metres from the main square and central to most of the attractions on Trondheim. The staff were super excellent, friendly, and full of helpful information.

Pensjonat Jarlen is located at 12min walking distance from Trondheim railway station. The B&B offers 26 rooms over 3 floors. It is an elder building. At ground floor you find coffee & tea. Reception is open from 07:00 to 22:00. No breakfast. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly staff. ||||We had a modest room at the ground floor. The practical furnished & decorated room had two so-so single beds with good bed-linen, desk & chair, wardrobe, TV and kitchen-corner with stovetop, fridge, pots & pans, and plates & cutlery. A separate bathroom with toilet, washbasin and shower. All was clean. ||||With NKR 1,490 without breakfast we found Jarlen pricey, nonetheless we had an OK stay. Note that hotel prices in Trondheim are sky-high. Recommended for one night.

Clean, close to the shopping center and the most famous church. Yet, Wi-fi signal strength is very low and unstable.

This was a wonderful place to get some sleep and leave our bags after arriving in Trondheim on the night train. They were very kind and let us check in a bit early and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The room has a small kitchenette which was great for making some tea before we headed out on the next night train that same evening. I would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Decent, but nothing special. The beds were thin, and light enough that even when pushing them together, they kept coming apart until we stuck some heavy items next to them to keep from moving. The bathroom was the size of the main room, and had a very nice shower on it. Among the best water pressure we had whilst in Norway. The walls were very thin, and sound echoed from everyone in the courtyard or birds early in the morning, or people walking in the hallway. The front desk staff was very helpful. the kitchen, while small, had everything needed, and the stove/sink/etc worked as expected. It's fairly close to sights around here, but as a warning Trondheim doesn't have much to do. The tourist industry is clearly not as well developed as Oslo or Bergen.
