Penzion Kamenne Slunce

Great location, very cozy setting and rooms, very satisfying breakfast. The common room has a kitchenette, a comfortable sitting area and even a pool table (although the cues are in a sad condition) and some musical instruments, which are hopelessly out of tune, but definitely make it even more cozy :D We could also lit up the fireplace, if we wished so. Oh, and there are multiple artworks by local artists on display, which was very nice.

An absolutely beautiful penzion with a very kind and generous host. The decor is stylish and unobtrusive with a delightful theme of autumnal leaves with glass panes. Breakfast was fantastic and it's location just off the main Telč square is ideal. No card facilities but plenty of Atms within 2 minute's walk. Would highly highly recommend to anyone.

Our room was lovely, spacious, and had great views. The bed was very comfortable. Our hostess was wonderful and very helpful. There is parking in back and wifi is free. We were also able to use the refrigerator for our items that needed to be chilled. Nothing is very far in Telc so location is not all that important, but we enjoyed being at this end of the square. Also, this is a very quiet place. And, the gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Would definitely stay here again.

Felt very cosy, lots of features! Update June 2022 We enjoyed another nice stay at that wonderful house, run by a lovely lady that happily goes the extra mile! The pictures show the peaceful garden by the city wall, a calm place to relax. There is also a community room for rainy days with piano, pool table & amenities. Breakfast is first class, including insalata caprese, greek salad, bacon&eggs, fresh fruit, also dessert like custard tarts and doughnuts. n.b. the rooms can be a bit warm in summer

Positive: Such a beautiful little Pension! Best one I’ve been to yet! The lady at reception (Maria) was super super friendly and so very helpful! The room was very spacious and they had a pool table and little garden which made the stay even better! Located not even a minutes walk from the center and about a 4 minutes walk away from the cutest little lake!.

We were looking for accommodations in Telc and found this wonderful little place through their website. The price was right and the location couldn't have been better: right through the gate to the beautiful, historic town square. ||||The pension itself is in a historic building that has been lovingly maintained by the owner. Floors in the main hallways are reminiscent of castle blocks, while the stairs leading to the rooms display gorgeous hardwood of long ago. Expecting that the excitement would end there, we were thrilled to find our room both tastefully and comfortably furnished, complete with a very modern bathroom.||||After two weeks travelling of the Czech countryside and staying in all sorts of hotels and pensions, we can honestly say that the hostess at Kamenne Slunce was the warmest and most generous soul we came across. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted like family and were even given access to a luxurious common area in the pension. Our hostess went so far as to make us a fire to go along with our espresso, as we lounged on leather sofas in front of a huge flat screen tv!||||This was truly the best holiday home away from home.

We stayed in this cosy pension one night in December, travelling from east CZ to west CZ. So all we needed was a cosy place to sleep...even though the room was quite tiny, it was very cosy, clean and warm. We were excited to watch the snow fall through our roof windows. Also other parts of the pension were very useful - a fridge, little kitchen, billiard table, fireplace and piano with a good sound. Since it was very cold outside, raining and snowing, we were happy to spend some time here with out little daughter. ||The only problem was that we could hear everything from the nextdoor room (including words of the movie they were watching)...this can be solved by asking your neighbours to lower their volume but the bells from the tower across the street cannot be switched off. Unfortunately, I am not able to sleep so deep so i was awake nearly every hour...which was a pity because the blankets were super cosy warm and soft :-)

Great pension in beautiful old house. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was amazing. The bread was very tasty, one of the best I've ever eat in my life.
