Penzion Mayer

When we checked in Tatiana asked if we had any dietary restrictions and we mentioned our daughter’s nut allergy. The next day at breakfast she brought out a nut-free banana bread she had specially made for our daughter. It was so thoughtful of her to do this for us. We had a wonderful time in Bled and loved our stay at Penzion Mayer.

An adorable Alpine hotel. The three generations of family owners are so friendly. Their pride in the place shows in the beauty of the hotel and grounds. Everything is clean, updated, and well maintained. The flowers and landscaping are gorgeous. Sisters Tatiana and Barbara, members of the family that own the hotel, are just delightful and take the time to answer your questions, or simply share stories about Slovenian life, even though you know they have a million things to do. The breakfast spread is one of the best, and features lots of locally provisioned foods, including items from their own garden. Lots of storage in the spacious rooms. Each room has a electric hot water pot, and the windows open. There's also cozy room for reading or playing card or board games.

A lovely family run hotel only a 5min walk down steps to the lake. So close to the attractions and restaurants on the lake but very quiet and peaceful at this hotel. Tatiana was welcoming and always happy to help with suggestions and directions. |Our balcony room was spacious and clean and we enjoyed sitting in the balcony overlooking the lovely garden. |Breakfast delicious and we would stay again. |Loved Bled!

Amazing family run place. The building itself is absolutely beautiful kept very clean and covered in flowers. The breakfast was amazing with everything from fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, cheese and meat and hot made to order eggs or beautiful salads. The daughters of the family are especially kind and Eva can solve any problem with professionalism and compassion. I loved having the bikes available to ride there are great trails all the way to Bohinj.

Very comfortable rooms. Well appointed, lovely decor. Very central to the lakeside restaurants. Charming district. Very green garden with deck chairs to enjoy nature. Breakfast can also be enjoyed out there. Buffet breakfast with eggs cooked to preference.|Great service.

Excellent family run hotel. The owner was on site and very much part of the team. And it showed. Very clean. Excellent room. Great location.

A fantastic stay here in Bled. Attentive and super friendly family team who make you feel at home. Beautiful hotel with no issues and a stones throw from the lake. Great breakfast👍🏻

My cousin and I had an incredibly wonderful time at Pension Mayer and in Bled, Slovenia, on the first long weekend in May. I think the guesthouse is beautifully decorated; our room with a wonderful lake view was very clean; there was even a kettle with tea and coffee – very thoughtful. My highlight was the delicious breakfast with homemade ingredients, the best breakfast I've ever had in any accommodation. And the hospitality, friendliness, and helpfulness of the lovely Eva, her mother, and the staff made us feel right at home. It was a simply wonderful stay at Pension Mayer, which I/we would love to repeat. All the best to Eva and her family!
