We stayed here in July. |The room was exactly like in the photos on booking. |There was even a little kitchen, very useful. |The owner was very friendly and kind. |The price was perfect for a night.|I personally recommend for a trip in Lubiana. Not 5 stars because the room was a bit small, but very clean.

We had a great stay here during our visit to Ljubljana. Marjan and Florijan are super helpful and kind, and the central location means it's an easy walk to the old city, train station, Tivoli park, and other attractions. The room was pretty basic (which is what we expected) but super clean and comfortable. We had a large room with a well equipped kitchenette, and also appreciated the tea room common area with the espresso machine.||The hotel is on the second floor of a historic building; the bottom level houses a Bosnian restaurant. Entrance is through a sort of "secret passage" door, to which guests are given a key, and up the stairs to a second level. (There's no elevator here, BTW.) ||There are lots of restaurants and bars in the area which means it gets a little noisy in the evening, but things seemed to start quieting down around 10 pm or so. No breakfast is offered but we took advantage of the nearby Mercator market to get inexpensive fruit, yogurt, baked goods, and other staples.||We'd definitely stay here again!

We stayed one night. Very good location close to inner city where you can walk in five minutes. Clean and friendly place. Communication was excellent. German end English spoken. Self service kitchen and lots if information about city was provided. Inly a one night stay for us but would have loved to stay longer to explore Ljubljana by foot!

Arriving at Pod Lipo is pretty exciting as it is situated in its own square and there is an excellent restaurant on the ground floor, which is welcoming any time but especially so if you arrive too early for check in. The restaurant staff are really friendly, the food and drink are great and reasonably priced and English is spoken.|The same goes for the helpful Penzion staff. |The reception and rooms are one flight up, stairs only, in this great old building. My room was clean, there was lots of hot water, the wifi was good, I had an air conditioner, the terrace was a lovely feature. The area is very safe. There is chatter from the restaurant but everything quiets down at a reasonable hour. |Next to reception is a lounge where you can enjoy tea and coffee and board games. |Note that if you don't book your room and pay online, they only accept cash at the Penzion. The restaurant does take cards for meals.|

This place was wonderful. Excellent location and service, especially by Marusha. She arranged parking near the property and answered my many questions about the city. Rooms were clean and my spacious bedroom had plenty of room for luggage and clothes. Easy access to old town and Preseren Sq. Staff provided excellent recommendations for cafes, wine bars and restaurants. Highly recommend this place and its reasonable prices.

It was so lovely to have AC! We were in room 1 which had 2 twin beds. There was a small fridge that didn't seem very cold but we adjusted it and it might have gotten a little colder. There is also a bigger shared fridge available and a shared kitchen area for making tea/coffee. There was an extra mirror outside the bathroom which is always helpful for getting ready. The location was fine for us, though you'll probably want to take the bus from the train/bus station. It's a short walk to old town and restaurants.

Nice hotel that is more like a hostel, 5-7 minutes walk from the center of town (Triple Bridge) and 5 minutes from the river. They have several WiFi channels and it takes some trial to find one that works reliably. There is a kitchen if you want to eat in or you can walk 3 minutes to a hotel that has a very nice buffet for 7 euros. The restaurant/pub "Walter" located in the same building has good Slovenian food and beer at fair prices. ||Note that walls are thin and if you are adjacent to the kitchen, as we were, you will hear lots of conversation during the day. ||Very nice staff here.

Marijan is a super nice host. The room was clean and smelled nice, host answered all our question. We had a heater, additional blankets, soap in the shower. A nice 300 year old building to stay in, is close to whole center and Tivoli park. Would stay here again
