Penzion Tavcar

fantastic place. The owner is nice and helpful. we left the guesthouse very early in the morning (4 am) and he made us breakfast for the journey.💪 I really recommend it.

We had a great stay in Penzion Tavcar! Clean and wonderful rooms, nice hosts and a great breakfast.

Highly recommend staying here. Wonderful staff, very helpful. The rooms are large and provide all that you need. They have a great restaurant- Gostilan Tavcar next door along with a pub at the Penzion. There breakfast is fantastic - everything you could want. We needed to locate a dentist in the area and the staff were so very helpful in finding one and making arrangements for the appointment - the same day! You would need a car to stay here...located in a quiet neighbourhood just outside the city.

I stay for work a lot all around Europe and I was pleasantly surprised here. Was welcomed by beautiful black hair girl, who selected room 10 for me. Room beautiful, high quality, loved the bed and wooden floor. Excellent service at breakfast also. Not exactly close to town, but other than that, five stars housing. Great service each employee, beautiful place, great breakfast... Nothing else you need I guess

The rooms were very nice (ours was newer, the girls stayed in one of the older rooms), very clean and with good daily service. The breakfast was simply amazing, especially for a hotel with only 12 rooms. There were fresh fruit of all kinds, cereal and granola, juice, coffee, yogurt, butter/jam/honey, dairies, breads, lots of other stuff. And the nice person serving the breakfast room (Stane) kept offering to make scrambled/fried eggs and espresso/cappuccino, no extra charge of course.||The location was great for us as it's 2 minutes from the Ljubljana ring road, so we could drive to Bled and Postojna and other places easily. 5 minutes to the BTC shopping center, and 15 minutes to the center of the city by car.||We will surely come back when in Slovenia.

We stayed at the Penzion for two nights. Property was deceptive - traditional looking on the outside and very up to date on the inside. Room and breakfast were the best we experienced in two weeks in Croatia and Slovenia. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is semi-rural (quiet) yet only six km from the old town in Ljubljana. Lots of parking available. We had a car and could be parked downtown in ten minutes. Local bus available but you would have to plan your day a bit more. Would definitely stay there again. Tavern style restaurant next door was reasonably priced and provided good local food.

I've been here now for a week, but not my first visit. The Penzion is very nice place. ☺️ The breakfasts were really good and rooms were always tided thanks to miss cook/maid! I like this place so much, there are many nice places around to walk. Traveler and geocacher Colomb0 ⚡

We were very happy with the comfort level of this guesthouse. Modern and beautifully designed. Very comfortable modern bed, shower, bathroom, balcony. Has parking, wifi, full breakfast included. A short easy drive tot he old town of Ljubljana. Friendly service. Restaurant and tavern right next door. Super all around. We highly recommend.
