Taste the best of Sichuan cuisine in Chengdu, China - SilverKris

"A lively public park where community life is on display — from dancing grannies and mahjong-playing grandpas to younger locals who may strike up conversations in English about why visitors have come and what they have eaten — making it as much a social destination as a leisure space." - SilverKris

I came here because I wanted to feel alive. I had just buried my father and I knew I wanted to relish in some good flavor. I was not disappointed! Every single bite was a true pleasure. Francis was my server and she took exceptionally good care of me. If you haven't already been here you need to come now!

I’ve been here 5 times now and liked it a lot every time! Today got the waitress Karisa and she was so kind and helpful! I will never have enough of their sweet potato fries with their signature dipping sauce! I’ve enjoyed their tilapia sandwich and their chicken avocado bacon sandwich. Also their French toast was excellent.

I wish we had been here on a day the rooftop was open; that was our main reason for coming. I was here with friends, and after our food was delivered, we didn't see our server again until it was time to get the check. We needed more water/soda/ketchup/salt and pepper, but nope. My omelette looked great, but it was so bland. My friends said their meals were good to ok. I was also disappointed they didn't have any espresso options; just an Americano. For a fancy-ish breakfast-y place like that, it was surprising.

I was in Waukesha visiting family and was hungry, So I decided to try someplace new to me and unique. I Googled restaurants near me. This little gem popped up. I was a 1/2 a mile from it... The owner/Chefs name is Francisco. He was so helpful and very genuinely nice! The atmosphere was also something to remember with the music that seemed to take me to Venezuela! My mouth is watering as I remember the visit. There are gluten-free and vegetarian options as well! I am looking forward to returning soon!

Had the best time at People’s Park for lunch. We had the Reindeer Mule and Cherry Lemonade Spritzer to drink. For lunch we had the Bratwurst Burger with the soup of the day, tomato basil, as well as the Sandwich Capri with fries. We couldn’t pass up the dessert of the day, Snickerdoodle Cheesecake. It was a fun, festive, and cheerful environment. Highly recommend!

Had a great dinner on the rooftop. Started with Red Pepper Hummus, which was very tasty with the right amount of heat. One suggestion would be more pita chips and less cucumber slices. My wife had Sandwich Capri and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the grilled pork tenderloin sandwich and it was delicious! Our server Juan was fantastic - very attentive, and suggested that I ask to add bacon next time I have the pork tenderloin sandwich. That sounds great, and I definitely will!

I've been here twice, once for brunch and once for dinner, and both experiences were great--no complaints! The place has a fun vibe with vibrant prints and art on the walls, and in December, they go all out with Christmas decorations, even wrapping some of the wall art for a festive touch. For brunch, some friends and I visited shortly after they opened on a Saturday or Sunday. It was a gorgeous summer day, and we were lucky to grab a spot on the roof before it quickly filled up. More recently, we stopped by to celebrate my dad's birthday. We made a reservation in advance, which turned out to be a smart move since it was quite busy for a Monday night. Parking was a bit tricky as there isn't a dedicated lot, but we found street parking a block or two away. Our group ordered sandwiches and burgers. I had the Pesto Chicken Sandwich with regular fries, but I also tried my brother's Sour Cream Chive Fries and my dad's Cajun Fries. After sampling all three, I'd definitely choose the Sour Cream Chive Fries next time. To celebrate my dad's birthday, he got a special treat--ice cream topped with whipped cream and a candle. It was a sweet way to end the meal!
