Peppers Blue on Blue Resort Magnetic Island

Stayed in a 3 bed apt with plunge pool for 8 nights. Location was excellent, right next to the ferry and bus, IGA and Grog shop, as well as a couple of dining options (SOS, Scoops, Granite). Check in can be busy if there are lots of guests arriving by ferry. Large pool was lovely to visit with little kids, especially the shallow lagoon end. We enjoyed the smaller pool near reception but found other guests expected the children to be quieter there, as well as it being a passage for the other guests/marina residents to get to the marina boardwalk so not as private as the larger pool. Reception staff were very helpful and quick with answers to any questions - very hospitable. 3 bed apt with plunge was great for our longer stay. Large kitchen, dining and living with 2 full bathrooms and a laundry. Nicely appointed however the soft furnishings and living room rug needed a good clean. Sadly the housekeeping was a let down for a Peppers - no vacuum or mop of floors or change of bed linen for our longer stay. Sometimes house keeping did not come at all so had to be chased up the next day. However, despite this minor inconvenience I would visit this Peppers again and would definitely recommend to friends.

From the moment we started planning, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate not only our entire family but also all of our guests who stayed for the week. Every detail—from the beautifully arranged ceremony space to the seamless reception—was handled with such care and professionalism. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and perfect for guests. When the hotel wasn’t able to provide the originally requested rooms, guests were generously upgraded—some from a studio to a three-bedroom suite! The event staff made everything completely stress-free, coordinating effortlessly with our vendors and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food and service during the reception were absolutely top-notch—our guests are still raving about it! The entire week was filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Hosting both the ceremony and reception at the same location made everything so convenient. Thank you, Peppers, for helping make our special day truly unforgettable!

Our family of 4 enjoyed a wonderful 4 days on Maggie and really enjoyed our stay at Peppers in a very spacious 3 bedroom unit. Fantastic facilities to make it a luxury home away from home. The restaurant was getting refurbed at the time of our stay but we were given vouchers for, and absolutely LOVED, our breakfasts at Cafe del Mar. Would absolutely return and recommend.

Peppers is very convenient to the ferry and buses and getting around Magnetic Island was easy and fun. |However we had been warned that the Studio rooms ‘faced the IGA car park’. That is an understatement. We found ourselves in a ground floor room, with the balcony right on the footpath and on a direct line from the vehicle ferry which meant every time the ferry docked we got a lot of traffic (some of which was heavy) coming off the ferry. Also the bus terminal is right outside the ferry terminal and buses met every ferry meaning a parade of buses spewing diesel fumes went past at least once an hour. Throw in the general traffic in the IGA/ ferry terminal car park and this meant the balcony was virtually unusable with very little privacy and we had to sleep with the door shut and aircon on for security. So my advice would be to pay extra to upgrade or at least insist on a room on a higher floor! |The room itself was tired (broken furniture and a sofa so low, it was an effort getting up and down from it). Also some cleanliness issues... the sliding door between the bathroom and the bedroom was very dirty around the handle and when slid open, the side facing the bathroom had smears of black mould. I wiped this off. ||See attached photos.

Lovely place, huge pool, tasty breakfast buffet steps from the ferry. They upgraded us to a 3 bedroom apartment to be near family. Great views of the marina.

Booking with Peppers was the best experience ever. The stay was magical, the staff were amazing. We were treated like celebrities from booking in to saying goodbye to us. Def recommend them and can't wait to travel to other destinations and book with them again.

Lovely resort located beside ferry terminal. We were fortunate to have a one bedroom apartment located at the front of the resort with ocean views. Stay included breakfast which was OK, but nothing to rave about. Four stars because of breakfast situation- slow to restock items, limited selection.

Wow! We loved this place and didn’t want to leave! Beautiful room with balcony overlooking the bay . The room had lots of extras including fridge,microwave,coffee machine,lounge area. Fabulous pools and welcoming staff at reception and in the bar. Pleasant breakfast and great location. We hope to return to Australia in 2 years time and we plan to return here for longer! Definitely worth the upgrade ( for a small fee) to overlook the bay. We had a lovely time! A really memorable stay! We can’t wait to return! Thank you!

Pros: - right next to ferry drop off and grocery/convenience store/bus stop - trail to geoffray bay nearby - great pool, not too cold and pretty big - room had nice shower head - free movies available with new releases Cons: - restaurant requires reservations in advance, can still order room service - staff helpful but not the most friendly - room could improve based on expenses paid - door before your room door is super annoying to get through with luggage, even without the doors are difficult to open in general - ac not strong enough to keep room cool - wifi is very weak, can't stay connected very long and has intermittent signal - breakfast food was terrible (warm food) stick to the cold. It is a buffet. - checkout is 10a and not the normal 11a, $20 charge per late hr

went from being really accommodating to being extremely rude and disrespectful, making smart remarks while making our drinks. last time I checked when you've got 20 paying customers willing to spend a lot of money you go above and beyond. at least that's what I used to do... to the extremely rude lady behind the bar with the weird pony tail and the look like she hated life, you've rude comments just lost your employer a lot of money. cheers hun x

Went from amazing to trash and didn't stop in between. Gave the place a few chances. From the horrible menu to the disappointing food all the way to my 35 minute wait for a coffee. I'm always wary of a place that does buffet anything and I was right. Avoid at all costs!
