The Pequot is a cute quaint hotel in Oaks Bluff. It's in a fantastic location 10/10. It's a short walk from Inkwell as well as shops and restaurants. It's also in a great neighborhood for running and walking. The service was great. The people at the front desk and the staff were very nice and helpful. The room had a powerful window AC unit which kept the room pretty cool and also had a mini fridge for food and leftovers, which I really appreciated. My only drawback was the bathroom. The bathroom was pretty small and hard to navigate. The thing that really grossed me out was that there were about 8-10 very visible curly hairs left on the wall of the shower. In an already tiny bathroom and very tiny shower, the hairs were pretty off-putting. Besides the bathroom and cleanliness of shower, I enjoyed the location and would consider going back.

The hotel is near a calm beach in oakbluffs. Rooms are slightly dated small but comfortable and roomy. I did notice a stain on the toilet side, which must have been missed by the cleaning staff. Breakfast was just the right amount and good. Location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants, ferry, bus and beach. ||Staff gets the most points as being really friendly and so helpful.|We had checked out but were allowed to leave our luggage for the day, take beach towels and chairs to the beach gor the day, return later, take a nice shower with fresh towels, soap and shampoo. This made our stay exceptional. Thank you.|Will certainly stay here again.

The Pequot Hotel is a treasure! The rooms are quaint and clean. The staff is friendly and very helpful. There is a complimentary breakfast for guests (which includes|waffles). There is a wonderful mixture of friendly guests who chat during breakfast or|on the porch (in the rocking chairs). There is a delightful "porch swing" and some inviting entertainment from local artists. A wonderful place. Please go and let Lisa,|Cloe (and her daughter), Jill and the other amazing staff members offer you maximum|comfort via their wonderful, warm reception! A gem!

We had a wonderful time at the Pequot Hotel! We stayed in the apartment with 4 adults and had plenty of space to visit and entertain. The small porch on the apartment we sat at each morning for breakfast. We enjoyed sitting and meeting new friends in the courtyard at night. There was a music, wine, and cheese night which we found relaxing and enjoyable! The hotel is a short walk (or drive) to the Inkwell Beach. The hotel even had beach chairs and towels to use (which was great for us since we flew on to the island). Overall, we are excited to visit Martha’s Vineyard again and we would definitely stay at the Pequot Hotel!

My partner and I packed light and took the ferry to the Pequot Hotel for a few nights. An easy walk from the ferry and near some cute restaurants. Our room was nice and tidy, the front desk was extremely helpful with recommendations & resources. The breakfast variety was incredible, something for everyone without being too overwhelming. A short walk to the beach and beautiful landscaping. This place was very charming.

First time visiting Oak Bluff and staying at the Pequot. It was convenient, although I found it to be a bit pricey. Upon my arrival didn't get a warm fuzzy feeling during check-in. Also, everything was closed with no options like Doordash or pizza delivery. Pitch dark outside and the front desk informed us we were in walking distance. A big No! We stayed in the three bedroom suite which had a kitchen. It was accommodating however, decor was very dated for the price. I mentioned to the front desk there were ants - no response. But the hotel will make sure you have plenty of towels.

My wife and I stayed here for four nights. Pequot is a simple historic hotel with modern amenities. It is in a quiet neighborhood within a short walk to the ocean and the main Oak Bluffs shopping area and there is free on-street parking right in front of the hotel. Breakfast, with a wide variety of options, is included. They served mimosas for breakfast one morning and had live entertainment in the lobby one evening. Plus they offered wine during happy hour and cookies in the lobby. The best part was the very friendly staff. Finally, this hotel is offered at a reasonable price versus other Martha's Vineyard hotels. We would highly recommend this as a place to stay when you are in Martha's Vineyard. We will go back to this hotel again.

I had a lovely 3 night stay here with my mom. Our room was cozy, comfortable, and clean, and we enjoyed a wonderful continental breakfast every morning. The staff were always cheerful and very helpful. It’s also located within walking distance of Circuit Ave shopping and very close to Ocean Park and the ferry.

Yelp
I really enjoyed our stay here. The service staff is tops, especially the very pleasant woman serving breakfast. She always had a smile and such a pleasant disposition. So our first three nights, we stayed in a room w Queen beds. The beds had 6 pillows a piece on them, a tv, a fridge and very nice toiletries. We enjoyed ourselves so much, I booked another night. Same price but we had to change quarters. It was in the original section. No tv, no fridge, two pillows on bed( one w a sham) and instead of the creamy soap, it was dial soap.. The walls were paper thin and we were on second floor. What a disappointment. One night, there was a happy hour, with cheese, wine and fruit available. There was also "entertainment ". ( A local w a guitar taking requests.) It's a decent location and not too far off the beaten path. I'd visit again but would like the first room I mentioned.

Yelp
Loved this place! I had to come write a review! An adorable, cozy, comfortable welcoming hotel and the woman at check in made me feel at home! The website photos don't give it justice to the look and feel when you arrive there! Love the front porch rocking chairs, I could sit out there for hours!

Yelp
Sadly this is purportedly one of the better hotels in Oak Bluffs but it would not be considered even mid-tier in most US resort areas. As others have noted the rooms are very small (think Euro), the furniture is dated, the bathrooms are tiny and hideous and the wifi is pathetic. Breakfast was pretty good and the staff was very friendly. Location is excellent - just a short walk from the center of Oak Bluffs and the beach. But there is no way this place would survive if there was any serious competition in town. I'll be generous with 3* as it is hard to top an afternoon relaxing in the lounge chairs on the porch enjoying the delicious cookies and lemonade. But don't have high expectations for the rooms... (Tip: the main grocery in town closes at 6pm so stock up early)

Yelp
I had previously had an amazing experience last year at Pequot hotel so I decided to return again with family. After riding an hour an forty five minute ferry ride over to MV I was welcomed into my room with BLOOD on the comforter and FECES stained into the front of the toilet. When speaking with the front desk staff they assured us to speak with manager Lisa in the am to rectify this situation. The cleaning staff that was present quickly took care of the immediate concerns so we could settle into our room after the long travel. The following day we came to speak to Lisa and she had left for the day. By the 3rd day of our stay I had AGAIN found BLOOD AND STAINS on the NEW SHEET that was provided to me MONDAY that I had now been using for 2days. At this point I had to find this Lisa so with my bloody stained sheet in hand I went to Lisa to address my concerns about our arrival as well as my newest discovery. When I spoke with Lisa I was greeted with a fake cheesy smile and skepticism as to if I PUT THE BLOOD ON THE SHEETS MYSELF!! She had said her staff told her we would be speaking with her and it was obvious she had carefully crafted a rebuttal to our concerns before we even got to speak with her. After offensively accusing me of getting the blood on my own sheets Lisa responded with "the staff is human and makes mistakes and I will speak with the staff." Now if you frequent MV you know the wealth of BLACK HISTORY and CULTURE that is imbedded in this special place. As a black person we are all too familiar with these symbolic victories that people like LISA have ignorantly given us with their aire of entitlement and with no real intention of restitution. As I waited for my new sheets Lisa then returned to me and stated "you have 3 people in that room correct?" I confirmed. She then stated "okay you were supposed to be charged for that so we will just call it even and not charge you for the extra person in the room." I then offered to pay the additional person room charge and Lisa pressed on with her cheesy disingenuous smile and then stated "no that's not necessary we will just call it even." WHAT TYPE OF HOSPITALITY SERVICE IS THAT?! LISA PRESSED ON to make her absolved of that white guilt and then said "Well I hope you have been having a great trip other than that." I ignored this statement as to not speak with nothing nice to say... Lisa then URGED WITH THAT CHEESY SMILE "WELL HAVE YOU BEEN?!" As if to imply that I HAD to respond to this STATEMENT not even question that she made. I nodded and decided to walk away back to my room to process all that had just happened. I'm writing this review to share my personal experience with other BLACK PEOPLE LIKE ME who frequent these establishments and are treated like we should be GRATEFUL FOR AFFORDING THESE EXPERIENCES FOR OURSELVES WITH OUR OWN HARD EARNED MONEY AND LIKE WE DO NOT DESERVE TOP NOTCH SERVICE FOR TOP DOLLAR THAT WE HAVE PAID. I was never adequately comped for this negative experience by LISA or the Pequot Hotel and was left feeling rather shamed and disregarded. I hope the honest review helps you make a good choice as to which establishment you would like to spend your hard earned BLACK DOLLARS at!

Yelp
In fairness, I wish I could give 3-1/2 *. Good first - very friendly staff, awesome front porch with rockers, nice front garden area, beach towels and chairs are mighty handy and the window ac was a godsend. Downsides - rooms are TINY and expensive. Bathroom is tinier. Breakfast is neither good nor bad which, for a foodie, is bad. 5 hangars in the closet which, for 2 people in a tiny room for 4 days isn't much. Dresser drawer knob missing, shades don't open all the way on the windows. After checkout use of the outside shower And inside bathroom was nice BUT the bathroom was clogged up so eeew. Nice enough place but I was a bit underwhelmed for the price. Location is fantastic.

Yelp
Long story short, this place was a disaster. I'm a little flummoxed that it has such strong reviews. We ended up on a unfortunate layover in the off season in Martha's Vineyard (our flight to Nantucket got redirected) so we needed to book a place quickly. This was one of several options that appeared and it had decent reviews. It was priced at close to $300 which was pricey but beggars can't be choosers etc. so we booked it. To be fair, I'll start with the good. The outside patio area is cute and you are near the main strip of Oak Bluffs. There was a banjo player outside of the premise so we had thought at least initially we had stumbled upon a delightful spot. Once we stepped inside, things quickly reversed course. We were greeted at the outset by a surly elderly women with lots of tattoos and were given the keys to a room with a queen sized bed. The room itself was about the size of said queen sized bed - pictures were totally unrepresentative (imagine the smallest room you've ever slept in then divide it by half). This would be fine if everything looked clean but it did not. When we took the time to shower there was no hot water and when asking the women at the desk we were basically told in so many words to just deal with it. When we did finally get the shower to work, the bathroom flooded. Could go on but you get the idea. It felt like a youth hostel in Vietnam but instead of charging $5 a night, it charged multiples of that. Avoid this place at all costs. Tiny rooms, awful service and high prices. Better off not vacationing in MV than vacationing here.

Yelp
Great walking location. On a quiet street, but the beach, town, dock and bus are minutes from the hotel lobby. Like many of the places in OB the building is older. The rooms are simple and clean. Window units are used for AC. Breakfast was complete. The free use of beach chairs is nice. But the " after checkout" use of the property (including bathrooms and showers) was over the top and will keep us from looking anywhere else when we return.

Yelp
This trip was a 30th Anniversary vacation back to our honeymoon spot. The Pequot Hotel is a euro style hotel on Martha's Vineyard. In the heart of Oak Bluffs and one block from the beach. All rooms have ac and are kept very well. We met couples from England and Slovenia. A great breakfast is included to start your day (inc. gluten free). The Hotel Staff have one mission: Making sure you enjoy your stay. To this end they even include beach towels, and umbrellas and chairs. Also, free WiFi and a long rocking chair porch to transition your day or get caught up with the off island world. You can get anywhere on the island from the Pequot because an every 15 minute bus stops one block away. I would advise you to book it! A ferry away. A world apart.

Yelp
This would not be my first choice of lodgings.... The old cliche rings true- you get what you pay for!!!! My sis and I stayed at the Pequot Hotel over this past Labor Day weekend and chose this hotel due to it's location. Aside from the front porch & it's local, that's ALL this establishment has going for it. Our room sported two little twin beds that barely fit our suitcases or anything else, for that matter. The bathroom (aside from it being a mess) might have been a cell block...not to mention the shower curtain fell down anytime one of use took a shower. The floors/carpets were a mess. One morning we found a cockroach in the bathroom and it remained there for at least a day..... HAD to test whether or not housekeeping would do anything. Our theory proved us right. We disgarded the creepy little thing after we couldn't stand looking at in any longer. Most of the staff were friendly but we did have a couple of people who shouldn't be in the service industry. Regardless of our lodgings, we have a fabulous trip! If you are going to stay at the Pequot, plan wisely and limit your time at the hotel as much as possible. We never took them up on breakfast or afternoon cookies because our mission was to roam the island and escape from our dorm room.

Yelp
We enjoyed out visit to the Vineyard and found Pequot to be a great spot. It's tucked away on a quiet street one block from the beach and about six blocks from the downtown area. The people at Pequot are amazing. All were friendly and willing to offer many suggestions and directions. If visiting the Vineyard again, I would stay at Pequot. Pros: quiet area, close to beach, walk to town, walk to bus, walk to marina, near Gingerbread houses, cozy, serves decent breakfast spread, refreshments throughout day (coffee, tea, lemonade, cookies), great people, outdoor patios/deck, outdoor shower, TV, mini refrigerator, complimentary bottled water, and full toiletry basket. Cons: Thin walls and small room.

Yelp
UPDATE: My wife and I returned to the Pequot for her birthday in September 2020. Due to Covid, we thought that fewer people would be visiting Martha's Vineyard and we expected the price to be much lower than the $267/ per night (tax included) that we paid. During our visit in 2014 we paid $178/night. Using an inflation calculator indicates that all things being equal, our 2020 room should have cost $196 with inflation. Perhaps more local people are visiting the islands during Covid because they can no longer travel abroad, and even travel out-of-state can be a hassle with quarantine requirements. We were surprised to find that the pleasant woman who checked in us in remembered us from 2014, and we also remembered her. She mentioned the 10% discount for returning guests. We didn't know about it, but we certainly wanted it. But then she said that you're supposed to make your reservation by phone and mention that you are a returning guest in order to get the discount. But as I am nearly deaf, I made our reservation on-line. She said she'd ask the manager and she seemed encouraging such that we were confident it would be granted. Meanwhile, the breakfast was not what it was in 2014. Covid was the reason given that what was once a very good breakfast was now reduced to a basic continental breakfast of hard boiled eggs, bagels, yogurt, a cup of strawberries and blueberries, and a choice of two types of quiche, which were not bad nor were they very good. After that first morning, we went to Linda Jean's for a delicious breakfast (try "the Mess") which effectively added an additional $50 to our hotel/breakfast bill. The room was nice, except that it did not have a desk where you could sit and write or use the laptop. Unlike 2014, the room did have a tv which was nice as we caught the end of the Patriot's first game as well as Tom Brady's first game as a Buccaneer. The bed was comfortable and the shower was nice (hot with good pressure) except that there was no hand held extension. There was a missing piece of tile directly above our bathroom electric outlet where moisture could get into the wiring. When we checked out we were disappointed to find that our request for the 10% discount was refused by the manager. For them to tell us that returning guests get a 10% discount and then not give it to us was a cold slap in the face. My wife is out of work due to Covid and I am working at home with reduced hours. We are far from wealthy and the 10% discount would have been much appreciated as the only reason I paid so much for this room was that my wife had her heart set on revisiting our very happy 2014 vacation that was also on her birthday. I have reduced my rating of the Pequot from 4-stars to 3-stars because the value has declined. We paid 50% more and received significantly less... due to the lackluster breakfast.

Yelp
We arrived to this hotel for a quick vacation after labor day. Pluses include a nice quiet side street not far from all the activities in town, cookies and lemonade in the lobby (not as good of a cookie as the doubletree cookies mind you), friendly and helpful staff, clean room with cool a/c and I didn't notice much sound from other rooms, nice porch and outdoor areas. Negatives are the wifi which was spotty and slow, breakfast was free but not anything I'd actually pay for. Yes it's a nicer than average place to stay, but when on vacation at a nice destination, expectations are higher for the overall experience and I felt this fell short. I would stay again, but I'd check out some other locations first.

Yelp
We arrived in Oak Bluffs at the beginning of a wildly wet week, and were so pleased to step into the warm environment of the Pequot Hotel. The hotel is just under a half-mile from the Steamship Authority ferry or bus stop, which is perfectly walkable, but if it's raining AND windy, be smarter than us and get a cab because the walk along Ocean St is brutal with the sea gusts. The hotel/BnB is located in a mostly residential area in the midst of a series of summer homes with wraparound porches. It's mostly quiet, though our first night was on the warm side so we could hear a house across the street party it up on their porch through the early night. We stayed on the top floor of the annex, which is across an open patio from the main building. The room was super quaint and cozy - the size was between small/medium (about 12x15?), but a soaring A-frame ceiling helped it feel bigger. The mattresses felt firm and comfortable, there was an A/C window unit and ceiling fan, a small open clothes rod, and a small bathroom with complete toiletries and a hair dryer (note that the shower - no tub - is pretty small, and tall dudes, watch your head on the shower rod!). As management notes, there are no TVs in the annex, which we had no issue with since we wanted to get out and about. Plus, there was a strong and steady wifi signal so we could always stream shows off our laptops if needed. We could only hear our neighbors a few times, and wore ear plugs at night only to avoid the sound of the whipping flag pole during the windy night. A continental breakfast was included (muffins, scones, quiche, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, granola, yogurt, etc) and served from a small dining room in the main building. The main inside lobby always had friendly guests, and in the afternoon had hot cider, cookies, and gingerbread. Board games were also available, but we didn't make use of that. The porch and outside seating areas also looked great -- perhaps on a drier, sunnier future trip! Staff were always pleasant, proactively attentive, and friendly; and you can tell they took pride in making the Pequot a home away from home for guests! The hotel is also about a 5-10 minute walk to most of the downtown village area restaurants, bars, and shops. For the location, price, service, and extra touches, we were happy with our stay and would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night. Very impressed by the attention to details from the organic and paper packaged toiletry to providing gluten free breakfast option. Located in the residential part of town with short walking distance to the town. The staffs are extremely friendly and they are clearly proud of their job and want to provide the best experience for visitors. When we arrived, the reception area greeted us with coffee, tea and chocolate chip cookies. Two thumps up!

Yelp
This historic little hotel has impressed me. We were looking for a place to stay for a night on short notice and they took really good care of us! They even had a pack and play in our room when we got there for our 10 month old to sleep in! Breakfast had gluten and dairy free options, homemade bread, and delicious steel cut oats, among other things. No TV, small room, but perfect for our needs!

Yelp
For the price you pay, this hotel is in a great location and a good value if you're traveling on a budget. We came here for quick honeymoon and upon arrival, they provided complimentary wine and chocolates in our room. The downside is that the hotel rooms and bathrooms are very small. There's little counter space in the rooms which was a little inconvenient. Aside from that, they had excellent BeesKind product in the bathroom which I'm a fan of, complimentary breakfast, fresh baked cookies in the afternoon, and tea all day long! We walked all around Oaks Bluff and the beach that's right down the road. Overall, good deal for the price of $109 a night.

Yelp
I was overwhelmed with excitement when we checked into the hotel - even in the off season it was perfectly maintained, absolutely adorable, quaint, in an amazing location. The breakfast was awesome, large and delicious spread, homemade cookies available all day, tea and coffee too. The porch switch and rocking chairs were a happy added addition, as well as the back garden. The staff was helpful and kind. Again location was great! The only difficulty was parking, but we were able to park, I imagine it would be harder in the high season. Would definitely stay there again!!

Holly P.

Yelp
We really loved our stay at the Pequot Hotel. Our room was clean and in a good location where there wasn't much noise from other occupants. It's always been difficult for me to sleep in other places other than my own bed at home, but I slept very well here. The staff were very accommodating. After our check out, we were offered to use their towels for the beach and come back to shower. We didn't have their complimentary breakfast because we wanted to experience the local places, but I did grab one of the delicious homemade cookies they have in the lobby before leaving. My only wish was for a bigger shower. I'm petite, but still thought the shower was a bit tight. But regardless it's still a solid 5 star for me.

Yelp
Pros: Nicely kept grounds, quiet and definitely close (Within easy walking distance) to Circuit Avenue and the beach. They did serve a complimentary hot breakfast, which had the same items every day but was better than a standard continental. Hot cider, lemonade & cookies after 2pm was a nice touch. Cons: Did not realize how small the room would be. Our 19-month son came with us, and with the pack & play in the room, there was no room to get around the bed. Being that we didn't spend all that much time in time in the room, it wasn't a huge deal, but I was expecting something a bit bigger. I see others got cheaper rates than us, so maybe shop around a bit before booking? We paid $189 a night (Before tax), pre-booking 2 months prior for our stay at the end of Sept, which I would assume is the off-season. Another review on here said they got a room for $109 memorial day weekend, which does seem like a very good rate. All-in-all, I would keep this in mind when we return to MV.

Yelp
Stayed four nights in August. Hotel is a neat place. Service from all staff was outstanding. That they provided beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels was great. Also, the day we checked out they still provided us with beach stuff plus had available nice bathrooms for us to use despite having technically having checked out. Free breakfast was more than satisfying. Afternoon chocalate chip cookies, iced tea and lemonade was great. Though our room was small the bed was super comfy. Bathroom was nice. I'd not hesitate to stay again at the place, but given how stupidly crowded the island was it's unlikely that I would ever visit again.

Yelp
This little hotel is so cute. The receptionist was extremely accommodating upon check-in where she was able to give is recommendations for shopping and restaurants. They also had a little cheese and wine party on the front porch right when we checked in. Breakfast, which is included with your stay, is really awesome too (had things like almond milk and gluten free bread) which a lot of hotels don't have. It's also a quick walk to the popular destinations in Martha's Vineyard. Well definitely be back.

Yelp
The hotel makes you feel like your at home with the cute rooms, rocking chairs on porch and the tea and cookies. All the staff were very friendly and they took pride in whatever they did. The location is a three minute walk to beach and a five minute walk to Circuit Ave. I felt very relaxed and I will definitely return here for my second stay on the Vineyard!

Yelp
In my opinion, this place is definitely an example of getting what you pay for versus a real value. While the prices are inexpensive for the area you are not getting much. Rooms and furnishings are old, outdated window A/C units labor to keep the air barely acceptable, staff has an attitude and is definitely NOT hospitable. When I made our reservation for July 2011 in February 2011 and mentioned that I would like to use my AARP card for the 10% discount listed on the Pequot Hotel website, I was told that my credit card would be charged for the full price and that I could present my AARP card upon check in and a credit would be issued. Upon check in I was told that the person who took my reservation in February should NOT have told me that. The Front Desk Clerk in need of an attitude adjustment went on to explain that the Peqout Hotel did indeed honor the AARP discount but not during high season. When I objected nicely, I was told that the person who took my reservation would be working the following day and I could speak with HER then. EXCUSE ME? How's that for service? Do your self a favor, pay a bit more and get a lot more service and accommodation.

Anna M.

Yelp
Stayed for two nights in early June. If I was judging just on the room, it would be a two to three star review. Our room was small and basic - just enough space for a queen bed and a few bags. It was perfectly clean, the bathroom is updated, the AC was so-so. So nothing remarkable . . . But the amenities and staff that go along with the hotel were fantastic. The included continental breakfast was extensive, fresh and very satisfying. Mid-day lemonade, iced tea and cookies were lovely. The Friday evening wine and cheese on the porch was a great way to set the casual tone. And the ability to borrow beach chairs and towels was a huge plus. Very centrally located, an easy walk from the ferry and to town, and the staff offered great recommendations, we're welcoming and unobtrusive but readily available.

Yelp
This was our 2nd time staying here, my husband and I really do enjoy our stay here. We stayed for 4 nights, it was a comfortable, clean room. We stayed in one of the middle rooms, so the walls are a bit thin, for anyone planning on going, you should expect that depending on where in the house you are staying. There is a lovely daily breakfast, various options (plus Sunday mimosas). Maybe a 2 minute walk to the beach depending on your pace, so convenient. A couple of days were a but chilly for us to always want to be outside, so we were able to play scrabble to kill some time. It was nice to have that option of various games and books when a sudden unexpected thunderstorm occurs. Overall a great stay, again. Friendly staff all around and makes it feel more like a "family" stay than a hotel.

James W.

Yelp
I love this Hotel. The are friendly, free homemade cookies and coffee, great breakfast including rolled oats. Great location, near beaches, near victorian methodist camp. They have a nice porch sitting area in the front of the hotel. Reasonable prices for Marthas Vinyard. I forgot to give back the hotel key when I brought the key back the next day they still gave me cookies when I wasn't even staying there. Who does that? I give this place an easy five stars.

Amanda s.

Yelp
Honestly- the best and most friendly quaint little hotel. Went with friends for a girls trip- we ended up falling in love with the hotel. Three girls- they put us in a perfect sized room with 3 twin beds. The breakfast was made daily and a lot to choose from. Coffee, tea and cookies throughout the day. They gave us umbrellas, chairs and towels for the beach. The staff really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The atmosphere is so cute and New England. Even though the rooms in the main house were close together- I never heard anyone else. They also had extra restrooms if someone in your party was using the one in your room. I can't wait to go back. Best hotel I've stayed in- hands down!

Yelp
Great location, near alot of restaurants and stores. Very nice staff, and a reasonable price. Only con I would say is there is no parking lot just street parking.

Yelp
It's a great place. If you've never been to MV, The Pequoit is a good place to get your bearings. It's on a quiet street, up the hill from the ferry landing, mixed in among single-family houses. It's walking distance to downtown Oak Bluffs, and the bus that would take you to the rest of the island. Cute little room. Terrific staff. They really care about your stay. Nice breakfast included, coffee, lemonade and cookies in the afternoon, and a front porch to sit on and be an islander! A terrific first MV experience. We'll be back.

Yelp
My wife and I booked a trip to the Vineyard for our 25th wedding anniversary. We booked at the Pequot because of the great reviews and nice pictures on their website. We were not disappointed. While the room was small, it was comfortable, clean and well maintained. The front desk, kitchen, grounds keeping and cleaning staff were all very, very pleasant. The one night it rained and we decided to join the other guests for the Wine and Cheese Porch Party that the staff threw, and we had a ball! Having not been out to the Vineyard in over 15 years, I was really hoping for that perfect New England experience and we certainly got it. I would go back over and over again. We stayed in the Annex in room 20. Very comfy! It's location is within walking distance from the down town Oak's Bluff shopping distance and from the Steam Ship port. We took the route 13 bus over to Vineyard Haven and Edgar's Town. It runs right past Pequot Ave. Great location, great room, great staff, great memories. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I stayed at the Pequot Hotel just a few days ago, Thurs thru Sunday, for my first stay at Martha's Vineyard. At first I was skeptical, a little turned off by the hallways that were painted with cats and dogs. However, I became a fan pretty quickly. The staff is very friendly and nice, the cookie service is yummy (yes, cookies in the lobby starting at 2--get them while they're fresh!), and my room was comfortable and squeaky clean. The breakfast is basic but totally fine (fruit, bagels and muffins), and the location is great; just a few blocks away from central Oak Bluffs and on a quiet street, a block away from the beach, and just a 5 minute walk from all the ferry landings. This is Martha's Vineyard where everything is small and expensive, so I have to be fair about NOT comparing my room to other cities. Once I take that into account, I really appreciated this hotel.

Yelp
Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Located close to the OB terminal on a quite street. My only complaint is I wish the room shades were darker. We woke up to a very bright room. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others as well.

Yelp
Cheap enough to stay at. Good value for money. Located on a side street near the ferry. Doesn't have any views and in the night gets a little dark around. They had free breakfast, but surprisingly bread was missing. The rooms weren't airy, but clean enough. Service is good and the people are really friendly.

Yelp
First time staying at this B&B and I was extremely happy with my entire stay ! They all were extremely friendly ! ( The entire staff ) This place was clean and comfortable.. They had a great breakfast included in the price and they offered afternoon cookies with Iced Tea and Lemonade. Coffee and Tea complimentary all day. I thought this place was a great value and I am looking forward to going back in a few months. Great Location / only about a 4-5 minute walk to the Hy-Line boats, and a 2-3 minute walk to all restaurants and shops.

Yelp
I fell in love with the porch the second we arrived! The atmosphere is very welcoming - it's the perfect home away from home! Every staff member was extremely nice/friendly and they did an excellent job accommodating us & baby. Good location- Just a short walk to the beach and town shops.

Yelp
My wife and I have lived our whole lives in NE and never have been to Martha's Vineyard. We both managed to find some time and located the Pequot Hotel on line mostly because of the availability. We arrived by ferry on Friday and walked over to the Pequot which was about a 10 Minuit walk down along the ocean. It is about 1 block from the ocean so don't hold your breath for views. They do have a nice porch with rockers for kicking back and relaxing. We arrived and were met by friendly staff who let us leave our bags in the corner of the main room because we arrived before the 4p check in time. My wife was nervous about leaving the bags but you have to do what you have to do and when we came back several hours later from exploring ever thing was right where we left it. The hotel had signs up for a porch party on Friday night with wine and cheese. The wife thought it might be a bit hokey but we went, had some wine and met two other couples and had a great time. Our room was in the main building and was small and simple and could have been a little more beach themed with its decorations but sufficed. I thought the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was small clean and had a stand up shower. The continental breakfast was average, just a hint get there early because things go fast and didn't seem to get refreshed. The fruit was gone when we arrived at 9a but we managed to get some quiche which was yummy. All in all the Pequot's staff was great and the hotel was a good place to stay when you get to the island and a view of the ocean isn't a must.

Yelp
What a great place! The management was outstanding! (It's under new management.) We had some confusion with the room and it was handled beautifully! The fresh cookies make the stay here so worth it! Breakfast was great. (Buffet with oatmeal bar, fruit, fresh scones... simple, but delicious.)

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Pequot Hotel for two nights; the place was very warm and friendly, loved the complimentary home-made cookies in the afternoon, complimentary breakfast was plentiful and great variety, cheese and wine on porch every afternoon was very enjoyable, and ample array of board games available for rainy days. The staff was very accommodating and very very friendly. The room was great; No luxury, no frills but comfortable and clean, just as expected. Good location, juts a few minutes walking distance to the Oak Bluffs town area. I would highly recommend to anyone, and would definitely return.

Yelp
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was very clean, the staff was wonderful and it was in walking distance to the beach and shops in Oak Bluff. Special thanks to Lisa who had a special treat waiting in our room for my husband's birthday. Great place to stay and we will be back!
