Perak Hotel

Greeted by a happy gent when we booked in, but that was it for happiness until he was back on duty again a few days later. Staff are not big on smiles or warmth.||Bearing in mind that Singapore is highly over-priced, what you get is not much for the price. Room is very small, found it claustrophobic with 2 of us in there.|Sound reduction between floors isn't happening so morons who stayed in the room above kept us awake all night by walking around and banging furniture and luggage. |Tiny bathroom, took us a while to figure out how the hot water worked although smiley chap on reception did show us how the venetian blinds opened (!), didn't think to show the hot water.|I would've appreciated the sheets fitting the bed too. That was weird.|Breakfast, yes well, not much variety I'm afraid. It's pleasant but nothing special. |Location is brilliant. We love Little India although there's times when it feels a tad dodgy. Great restaurants nearby and train station up the road. |

I pre-booked and pre-paid for this budget hotel on Perak Road in the Little India area of Singapore via agoda.com a few months ago. The quality of my room for what i paid for was much better than what i originally expected. The bed was good and the air-conditioning worked well. My room was also somewhat bigger and more spacious than what i originally expected. For a solo budget traveller like myself on an ongoing 3-month trip in this region, i am actually completely satisfied. The staff members like Shan and Anifah were friendly, polite, helpful and respectful. Everyone got a quite simple but more than adequate complimentary breakfast as well. Recommended (for me anyway)

The staff was friendly and helpful. It’s located in a nice area of Little India. The room was small but adequate. The bed was very hard. The sheets were very thin. The bathroom amenities are very basic. There are cracks in the shower tiles and you can see cracks in the walls as well as dirt, dust and mold in the corners of the bathroom as well as the door vent. The staff needs to thoroughly clean more and needs some updating in the bathrooms.

Basic hotel with good location in busy India town with many shops and restaurants. Good breakfast. Easy walking distance to places worth visiting. Historic architecture. Public transport/subway just 50 meters away. Recommended for budget savvy traveller.

Great place in historic Singapore. Lovely neighborhood (a bit noisy). The room is big enough (for Singapore). A lot of cupboards. Big safety box (💻 goes in). The bed is very comfortable. Good breakfast! Everything is good 👍!

I am giving 4 star because of the certain point which I mention at the end Rooms are a little bit small but OK The washroom is a little bit small but OK Both are neat and clean. Staff members are very cooperative good behaviour. Breakfast is good for Veg but in the name of Non veg only eggs. I will suggest 2-3 points to the owner 1 water should be given in rooms 2 if cattle place in rooms then sugar milk tea coffee shesha In breakfast don't give only eggs in the name of Non Veg breakfast 3 pl reconstruct 3 family room because it's look horrible

Location is only the best part .Staff is not friendly and very rude .It doesn’t feel like hotel fees like hostel .Door is not open anytime we need to ring a bell to get inside.Lady receptionist was very rude, her manager has to consider to train her on how to behave with customers . Breakfast was pathetic and 🪳 inside room .Bedsheets given is of no use . I would suggest please book other hotels don’t get scam with price .I repent booking Parek hotel during my vacation . Hotel management has to consider training their staff on how to provide hospitality. I was even scared to order food inside the hotel such suffocating environment

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and was extremely disappointed. The rooms were in terrible condition—no complimentary water was provided, and basic toiletries like shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, and a toothbrush were completely absent. Breakfast was equally disappointing: the so-called “fresh” orange juice tasted artificial, as if it were made from concentrate. The food selection was poor and lacked any real Indian or continental options to start the day. What made the stay unbearable, however, was the staff’s attitude. They were openly rude and seemed as though they expected us to pay them for simply existing on the property. Small requests were met with impatience and condescension.

Perak Hotel is a clean and safe hotel in Little India. Good value for your money, especially in pricey Singapore. We stayed two nights in January. All the staff are friendly. Breakfast is included and they always cooked our eggs to order. The menu was different each morning! The rooms are average size with small bathrooms. Shower is small but the whole place was kept clean. AC worked well. I was not able to get wifi from my room but it was free access from the lobby. We slept well and did not hear much noise from busy Little India. We chose this location because of its easy access to the MRT Station. Getting around is super easy in Singapore! Very good budget hotel for those looking for included breakfast and internet access!
