"Ithaca is a dream, Vathi is gorgeous, and the Perantzada is the jewel in the crown. The town itself was rebuilt after the 1956 earthquake, but the architecture gives no hint of this: neo-classically-inspired houses smartly dressed in summer colours horseshoe around a shimmering Mediterranean harbour, giving the impression that you’ve washed up on the set of a Merchant Ivory film. Pavements buzz with life, bars fill, locals and tourists dine at waterside restaurants. This 19th-century, Schiller-designed house sits on the quiet side of the bay. Its formal exterior belies the crispest of contemporary interiors, the stuff of glossy magazines. Bold bedrooms - most with sea views - come in filmscreen white, with funky fabrics in bubblegum pink, electric green, vivid yellow (don’t come looking for greys or browns). Chandeliered lounges, rug-strewn terraces and the small infinity pool offer gorgeous views, with the mountain and town reflected in clear blue water. Fine bathrooms, a small bar and staff that care: a great little place. The hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful views over the harbour. The hotel itself is clean and the rooms are uniquely decorated, comfortable and well equipped. We had a very warm welcome from Antonio and Katerina. They, along with the other staff made us feel very welcome. The breakfast selection was lovely and the selection cakes was an added treat. The pool was very clean again with great views over the harbour. There are no negatives about this hotel. We were very sad to leave.

We were recommended this hotel by friends and we were not disappointed. Everything about our experience was perfect. The staff are charming and so helpful. We arrived very early off the first ferry and were hoping to leave our bags somewhere secure. Antonio insisted we come in and have a delicious complimentary breakfast and enjoy the pool area and the fabulous view for as long as we wanted until our room was ready. The room was large, stylish, and had a sea view. Gutted that we could not stay longer but they were fully booked otherwise we would definitely have extended our stay. We will return!

We had the most wonderful 5-night stay at Perantzada Hotel 1811 in Vathi (in August), and it truly exceeded our expectations.||The location couldn’t be more perfect – right in the heart of Vathy with breathtaking views over the bay from our balcony & by the fabulous pool. We stayed in a modern superior art room that was stylish, comfortable, and full of character, which matched the hotel’s classy yet quirky ambience beautifully.||Breakfast every morning was a treat – fresh, delicious, and the perfect start to the day. ||What really makes this hotel stand out, though, is the staff. Katerina and Antonio were simply amazing – so warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. They give the hotel its heart and make you feel like more than just a guest.||We couldn’t recommend Perantzada Hotel 1811 more highly. If we ever return to Vathy, this will be the only place we’d want to stay. 🌟

Loved everything about this hotel. Fantastic location, right on the harbour, great pool with views across the town. The staff are amazing. Very attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. From the wonderful breakfast to sunset drinks, everything was amazing. We didn't want to leave.

It’s located in a wonderful spot. Watching Vathyi from the infinity pool while sipping your drink is a real delight. We were so lucky to find a room last minute. A perfect choice for couples. The rooms are clean and the view is amazing. Every corner features artwork that lifts your spirits. It’s a great boutique hotel for designers and art lovers. You can truly feel the Greek island vibe in the architecture. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was quite satisfying. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We’ll definitely stay here again next time.

This hotel is a real gem. Perfect location in Vathy, the building is beautiful and the rooms are individually decorated, clean and serene. Breakfast by the pool is the most perfect way to start your day, and the pool itself has a fantastic view on the bay (highly recommend a drink at sunset there too). But what really stands out is the care Antonis, Katerina and the staff have for their guests - always happy to help, whether it’s something with your room, calling a taxi or sharing advice on what to do in Ithaca. We had a wonderful time at Perantzada, just the week of peace and relaxation we needed - thank you.

I could not recommend the Perantzada Hotel more. We were only able to stay one night, but in a short time, we felt so welcomed and at home. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Antonio and shown to a stunning room with beautiful views overlooking the water. Everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. The pool looks over the breathtaking harbor of Vathy. The breakfast buffet was delicious and fresh with homemade pastries that melted in our mouths. This was a 10/10 stay and we will certainly be back!

When someone asks who the nicest people on the planet are, tell them they live in Ithaca. And the nicest of these run and work in this hotel. ||Myself, wife and 12 year-old daughter spent three nights and four days here. Very thoughtful staff who were very attentive in a non-intrusive way. Breakfast was limited on choice but what was there was very fresh and very tasty. At no time did we feel anything but full. ||Our room was very clean and well serviced with high standards of furniture and fittings befitting a hotel of this standard. All in a great boutique hotel with incredible service. We will definitely go back!!!!
