I immediately felt profiled and singled out. Which was a disappointment considering all the great reviews I read that had me crossing town just to visit. She made it a point to correct me on everything I mentioned and the terminology, despite telling her I was from elsewhere. She also made it a point to hardly offer anything and telling me the price of her items while cutting her eyes to me at the mention Everytime. As if I wasn't expecting high-end. While, I got to try on a few things, and was even ready to buy, she told me they didn't carry my size??? Like, I hadn't mentioned my size?? Okay. And instead of being attentive when I was also ready to buy, After mentioning they didn't have my size, she basically asked me to leave so she could keep talking on the phone to her friend. It's a no from me. I felt like I was being pushed out the moment I walked in. I will not be going back.

This place was made for the pajama girlies!! I actually found this place by chance and I’m so happy I did. They sell beautiful sleepwear and fancy under dressings for men and women. I wish they weren’t closing honestly. I would come back every time I’m in nyc just to pick up a little thing for myself. Also the woman working the place knows her stuff! She knows what will fit you and what looks best. I love that kind of knowledge.

I read all the great reviews here that was the reason I decided to shop here. I was shown one bra and when I asked to see different styles I was told they didn’t have my size in any other style which is ridiculous because my size is 34ddd Will shop in Bloomingdales staff are very helpful there.

I needed a very special bra due to severe allergies and other health issues. I called Deborah who I did not know. She was the most amazing and so very kind sales clerk. She helped me with suggestions, going out of her way . I am very grateful. Thank you for the quality and excellence in Customer Service that is not found in many shops today. I would highly reccomend Lingere and Company.

I walked in and she immediately knew the correct size by looking at me. The sales associate was so kind and attentive. This is a true gem!

I've been shopping here for years and I love this boutique! A real class act. From the moment I walk in the door they pull a selection of my favorites (Cossabella and Hanro!) in my size ready for me to try on. Thank you Lingerie & Co. For being a consistent favorite!

I have been shopping at Peress for at least fifteen years probably more. I love this store and I wouldn't go anywhere else for quality nightgowns and bathrobes. I have never been disappointed!

The sales associate was super kind and helpful. She worked with us to find something in our budget. The store's selection was super diverse and a lot of the lingerie was French-made. Very good value for purchase

Very disappointed with my experience at this store. High pressure sales person sold me an expensive robe that was clearly extraordinarily too large for me. She had me try it on over my clothes, and when I wanted to try it on without my sweater, she told me it wasn't necessary. She also sold me two bras that were not my size, and also too big. The store does not offer refunds, but only a store credit. For me, this is a significant problem, since the store generally does not carry merchandise in my size. When I returned the merchandise today, the sales person who processed the store credit (someone different from the person with whom I originally dealt) did not even offer to try to order anything in my size. So, I am now out $350.00 with no hope of recovering my loss, since the store credit is of no use to me.

I was very excited to find that Lingerie & Co. stocks Polkdot, the only store that I know of in NYC. That brand is super comfortable and relatively inexpensive for its quality. I like to buy it as well for my sisters, so I know I'll be back in the store soon for holiday shopping :)

Loved my experience here!! Staff was so friendly and helpful and quickly directed me to where I needed to go. Everything was super cute and great sizing! Would come again

I walked into the store looking to get a strapless bra for my birthday dinner. Once I was buzzed in not did I put a foot in the door when the saleswoman blurted out 'we don't have your size, we don't have your size". Now I am Fuller on the top. And as I walked toward her I looked very surprised and she said 'we definitely don't have your size' and she did get my cup size right but she assumed my rib cage size which was incorrect. In fact she said that they had my rib cage size but they definitely didn't have my overall size. I asked if she could measure me and she said 'we've been doing this so long we just know'. Now even if I'm not the customer you cater for that, is not how you treat someone who walks into your store. I know quite a few people and I happen to be in marketing and sales. You never know how you treat a customer that might not be your own but how many customers they know that could be theirs and you have turned every single one of those customers away with your action. Again I understand if they don't carry sizes for Fuller cup women but to be treated not even with a Hello but a repeated we don't have your size is inappropriate. It's a shame because anyone who asks me my opinion about that store who probably would be their customer will get a very negative review for me. We are in New York City there are plenty of other stores who can cater to their customer. They did direct me to another store on 65th and 3rd which I will be delighted to tell them the story when I go in and purchase a very expensive strapless bra . By the way I've never written a review on Yelp until this one. This tells you how badly I was treated. In this day and age, you look for anyone who could be your customer or refer customers to you and this is not the way to approach it.

I recently visited this lovely little shop and had a wonderful experience. Top notch service (so nice and helpful!) and the merchandise is varied and just gorgeous! I went in with the intent to look for lingerie but was surprised to see an array of other beautiful, high end items. I look forward to returning before the holidays to pick out something special for myself!! What a find!!

Just stopped in and wow!! Loved all the cashmere, silk and cotton. Plus the bra selection was extensive but not overwhelming. I would highly recommend this store

I work in the field in the city for my job and when I have down time I sometimes shop. With my dear friend's wedding right around the corner I decided to do some shopping for her bachelorette party. I walked into this boutique and the associate asked me what I was looking for. I explained to her that my friend was getting married and I want to buy some lingerie for her bachelorette party. She Asked me if I was looking for a bra and panty or perhaps a thong because the Merchandise was pretty pricey. Coming from a strong luxury retail background of over a decade, I am familiar with designers and prices. As I did not ask her for the prices she repeatedly told me how expensive things were in there which from the 1st time I identified that she was judging me based on the fact that I am African American and in my work uniform.. She proceeded to show me a couple of pieces which I wasn't interest in either way but I knew from her judgment I wasn't going to purchase anything from her at all. I only gave 2 stars because she was pleasant however I read between the lines as an intuitive empath and did not appreciate how she made assumptions.

Very pleasant experience! As a guy buying lingerie, it can be an awkward experience but the saleswoman made it quick and painless.

Very poor service. Purchased a pair of "thigh highs" on Sat., wore them on Sunday. One was defective--kept actually falling down. Took them back on Mon, with receipt, and was told buying hose was a hit or miss thing. Was refused a refund or replacement. What a stupid way to run what is essentially a neighborhood store. Certainly people aren't considering this a destination shop. If you don't treat your neighborhood clients well, they won't be your clients for long.

Hubster and I were heading home after attending an event dinner. I was looking through windows on the way, and noticed this small shop. I really was surprised- it's really a great little find and I plan to head back there when I have some extra discretionary spending money. The store is quaint and there was a very friendly lady working there. I had no idea what I was looking for, but she greeted me quickly and friendly asking if she can be of any help. I responded that I was just looking, and that maybe something might catch my eye. I like the layout of this store and the kind service. The saleslady opened some drawers. That in itself made it exciting. She inquired about my size and I gave some ideas of items that I enjoy. I am pregnant, and ran by her that I was interested in something comfy and flattering. She managed to find me a few things, and something I really loved. I was then led to a cozy dressing room. I tried on a few items and decided upon a beautiful babydoll negligee that covers yet is adorable by Eberjay. The prices are not bad. If you figure Victoria's Secret pricing model structure, well a little more gets you something that flatters your body type, much softer materials, better craftsmanship and did I say....amazing ! You will look be-au-ti-ful! Spend a little more money and find lingerie that really flatters any body type. The item I bought it so soft and comfy that I use it all of the time, not just for special occasions. The bras there are your high end bras, and since switching to the higher end bras I have noticed much better durability and support. I really like the old fashioned classic service and I love shops that do not have loud music. Call me old, but I really like peace and quiet! I am not interested in a dance club but an enjoyable shopping experience where I can hear! Great place to take guys, have your guy buy you something here. I plan to return for some unmentionables as they are called!

Great UES lingerie shop with helpful attentive service. I wouldn't buy my wife something from Victoria's Secret, so I go to L & C, always get good recommendations, and trust the quality of the items and people that work there.

Not a better lingerie store in the world! This has been my favorite store for close to 15 years. I can't think of a brand they don't carry and the sales staff is the best. Not pushy and very honest. Love their short silk chemises...great Hanro, fantastic Cosabella stuff...also my favorite Wolford pantyhose....ps my thigh highs were perfect

I really have a hard time shopping for lingerie in the big department stores and often feel overwhelmed by all the choices which is why I have come to love this wonderful lingerie shop The store is very well organized with just enough selection, and the quality of the lingerie is excellent; very pretty but also well made. Also they have the most helpful and friendly sales staff who will find you exactly what you are looking for. Definitely worth a visit.

Absolutely the worse customer service friendly environment I have ever been in. I would never recommend this store to anyone. I was willing to spend lots on bras but with the lack of help they lost a good customer.

I have been a very satisfied customer of this store for 15 years. Have you ever shopped at a department store for a new bra? The salespeople are not always knowledgeable about the differences in fit of all the various brands. The process can be very frustrating and time consuming. When I started shopping at Lingerie & Company, I was impressed by the well edited selection of bras and how helpful the saleswoman was. It is full service store and shopping there is very efficient. They also have a great selection of nighties and robes. Not all the typical brands. A really lovely shopping experience!
