Overpriced. That’s on me for trusting the high rating on Google Maps. The property markets itself as “luxury,” yet the view, location, facilities, and service did not reflect that standard. For this budget, you can easily book a far better hotel in Hanoi, including reputable international brands, with better views, larger rooms, and far more professional service.
The most disappointing part was the management. While untrained staff can be excused, poor judgment from a Guest Relations Manager cannot. I believe his name was Jackson or Jason. His attitude noticeably shifted depending on the guest, significantly more attentive toward higher-paying and Western guests, while guests in lower room categories or local Vietnamese guests received minimal engagement.
I’m not labeling it discrimination, but the difference in treatment was obvious. As a Vietnamese guest, that was particularly disappointing to experience.
