Peridot Grand Luxury Boutique Hotel

This was a bestie trip! By doing our own research we couldn’t resist, the Peridot Grand definitely lives up to its 5 star rating. For months and months before arriving I had the pleasure with working with Ms. Vu who was beyond anything I could ever imagine! She answered, gave the best recommendations and listened and I mean literally hand held me every step! Ms. Vu recommended the Orchid Cruise thru La Hong Bay which was incredible! Another shout out to Nga Lai who is the assistant restaurant manager, she couldn’t do enough for us, each and every day she knew us and always went above and beyond for us! The hotel has the most beautiful, fresh and delicious breakfast buffet. Everything from the fruits, veggies, juices, breads and delicious hot food. The rooftop has amazing views and a gorgeous pool. We even arrived during Tet which was incredibly amazing as well! I tru Y can’t thank this gorgeous gem in Old Hanoi enough! Thank MsVu and staff for the most memorable experience! ❤️

Great location, lovely decor in common areas and rooms, comfortable bedding, a lovely pool, jacuzzi, a small gym, a good breakfast spread. Rosie from the restaurant is super sweet and kind. She took such good care of us the whole time. However, the housekeeping staff cleaning our room on the last day made us feel very unwelcome and the breakfast buffet on the weekends, even though it says ends at 10:30am, actually starts finishing up by 9:30am and they do not fill up the things that are finished. Overall, we would not stay here again because the pricing does not match up to the quality of service.

I loved everything — thank you so much for such a wonderful experience 🙏 The service was outstanding: professional, attentive, and always available. The room was beautiful and very well equipped, with absolute comfort — especially the bed and the incredibly soft bedsheets. Breakfast was fresh, colorful, and delicious, a perfect way to start the day. The Sky Bar is a real highlight, with great music, a beautiful pool, and a lovely atmosphere. A special mention for the very thoughtful gift at the end of the stay — such a nice and memorable touch. I truly enjoyed my time here and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.

Best location. Easy walking distance to everything in the old quarter. Train street is only 2 mins walk. Breakfast choices are fantastic don’t miss out on a banh mi. Rooms were great hotel is set back off the road so is quite. Rooftop pool and bar were great. Happy hour 5 to 7 pm Expresso martini’s were on point. Nail and foot massage next door was great only 250 for French polish.

Hotel is in a great location and staff were incredibly friendly. Check in was very quick. The hotel and the rooms are definitely showing some age. The photos make the property look much newer however in reality the property is quite tired looking. Our suite balcony did not have a view and was blocked by a wall. Overall though was affordable, centrally located and staff were very kind. Breakfast buffet is also one of the best I’ve seen!

Lovely hotel in a great location. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated, with a fantastic rooftop bar. We had a great check in experience where we met Wynnie, who was very lovely and welcoming and gave us recommendations, and then stayed in close contact afterwards (in fact, all the staff we came across were great). The room was nice and comfortable, albeit it a little small - but very clean. Breakfast was good, as was the spa set up. All in all, great hotel.

We had a fabulous 4 night stay at The Peridot Grand. The Hotel is centrally located in Hanoi's old quarter and the rooms and facilities were just outstanding. We have stayed at other luxury boutique hotels in Hanoi previously but The Peridot Grand stands out, especially for its service and staff/management team. Russell at frontdesk is very friendly, professional and caring- he is genuinely passionate about providing excellent service and his recommendations re. Places to see, eat and unique experiences in and around Hanoi were spot on! Well done to the team at Peridot Grand and we would recommend this Hotel for all visitors to Hanoi. Hanoi is just beautiful at this time of the year and its people are the reall attraction !

Overpriced. That’s on me for trusting the high rating on Google Maps. The property markets itself as “luxury,” yet the view, location, facilities, and service did not reflect that standard. For this budget, you can easily book a far better hotel in Hanoi, including reputable international brands, with better views, larger rooms, and far more professional service. The most disappointing part was the management. While untrained staff can be excused, poor judgment from a Guest Relations Manager cannot. I believe his name was Jackson or Jason. His attitude noticeably shifted depending on the guest, significantly more attentive toward higher-paying and Western guests, while guests in lower room categories or local Vietnamese guests received minimal engagement. I’m not labeling it discrimination, but the difference in treatment was obvious. As a Vietnamese guest, that was particularly disappointing to experience.
