The Best Waterslides Around the World

"Offers Toboggan, a triple-decker body slide built down a slope just 15 minutes from Palermo Airport: four slides across three levels, each with its own saltwater pool for breaks, finishing directly in the Mediterranean with a ladder back to the resort." - Cailey Rizzo Cailey Rizzo Cailey Rizzo is a contributing writer for Travel + Leisure. Hotel Perla del Golfo Resort has a fantastic location right on the water, making it a great spot for those looking to enjoy stunning seaside views. The pools are a definite highlight—spacious, and perfect for relaxing. Parking is convenient, and the staff is very friendly and attentive, adding a nice personal touch to the stay. The ground maintenance seems to have been neglected, giving the resort a bit of a worn-out feel. Dinner service is a buffet-style setup at 8 pm and was a chaotic free-for-all. Wouldn’t recommend dining there. This resort seems like it was probably a gem 20 years ago, but it’s clear that it’s seen better days. If you’re after a quiet place to relax by the pool, this could be the spot for you. But if you’re expecting high-quality accommodations for $200 a night, you might want to look elsewhere. The beds are memory foam which was a nice surprise given most of the hotels and BnBs in Italy are spring. So the bed was soft. T:) It worked for our adventure but we wouldn't return.

The hotel was great, amazing views to the shore. I really enjoy the event, the attention was fantastic , and food was good. The path to the sea was breathtaking!! I really recommend it!! I want to thanks to the lifeguards from this place, they did a great job and were specialy nice with clients, a 10/10 for them. Everyday I lost things in the swimming pool and they recover everything always with a smile!. Thanks Lifeguards! You deserve a special mention!! I hope to repeat the experience here!!

We visited Perla del Golfo recently for a 2 night stay with family who live in Italy. Beautiful location, outstanding pools and very congenial pool staff. The breakfast and lunch buffets were good but not exceptional. The property itself is very neglected. The furniture in the lobby is torn and needs replacement. Our room, though clean, was not in the location promised when we booked. The outside shutters were filthy and the hallway had water from the ceiling dripping constantly making for dangerous walking . It’s too bad that this resort is so run down. It would be exceptional had the ownership shown some care in maintaining it.

Trust the reviews. To make this experience better, bring your own picnic/cooler/drinks. Rent a car to have a way to travel (store essentials in car). Bring your own towels. Good view but know you won’t be taken care of.

The location of the Hotel is indeed beautiful and mesmerizing but the rooms are disgusting and dirty. The breakfast is poor of food, lunch and dinner are poorly made. They give you tap water or low quality water in a plastic container. Never again.

We stayed because the hotel was close (15 mins drive) to Palermo airport and we were taking the 10.20 flight back to gatwick. Hotel is very dated, must have looked great in 1970 but its showing its age. It has 3 swimming pools, one Olympic sized, and a bar with a lovely view over the bay. Unlike other reviews we didnt suffer from the disco, i think because we were too early in the season. ||||Most staff friendly, poor English so helps to speak some Italian. The night manager refused to check us out which was a problem when we had a taxi booked at 8am. ||||Dinner was a buffet £16euros each and kids were 2 for 1. Pretty basic buffet with caraffe of wine thrown in. Ate outside and really enjoyed watching the sun go down over the bay. Breakfast was basic, pastries and cereals. Coffee was horrible. ||||Room - very dated. Mostly clean, bit dusty. My children were very impressed, but they are only 7&5. We got bitten to shreds by a mosquito - one managed to get in the room when we had the balcony doors open. ||||Oh and there's no lift for luggage.
