After booking we had some reservations with the amount of negative reviews we had seen, however when we got there we immediately questioned these! Our stay could not have been more perfect. Only an hour from the city but completely tranquil the location is perfect, there are shops and restaurants with bars within walking distance, the hotel restaurant was lovely, service was great and the setting was beautiful, room service was also offered. We stayed in treehouse 12 which was stunning, clean and very comfortable, no issues with air con or hot water, the view was amazing, be prepared to fall asleep to the sound of the sea and to be woken from your sleep by monkeys running across the roof, so cool! The beaches are gorgeous, there are activities for everyone. We did a boat tour which included lunch and was brilliant. We also rented equipment for water sports and had a great time. There really is something for everyone here, the setting is stunning, the staff are amazing, you will not ask for more!!

It is a great place close to nature. We stayed in cabin 15, and we need to walk about 800 to 1,000 steps from the reception area to our cabin. They do provide buggy services to ferry you and your luggage to and fro your cabin but you may need to wait coz there are only 1 buggy serving the area. The cafe has very nice view, buffet breakfast is decent with choices. The room is big and cosy with basic amenities, beds are firm and comfy. Monkeys maybe spotted if you are lucky. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.

The resort is literally a piece of paradise. The location in the middle of the rainforest but somehow on the coast is just perfect for relaxing and taking a break from the busy life. The resort really tries and succeeds at minimizing its' impact on nature and so everything feels in harmony with the surrounding nature. It doesn't need a huge concrete building with 20 floors and I appreciste that immensely because it improved my experience to be so close to nature. The treehouse was GORGEOUS, spacious, clean, and well air-conditioned and it was definitely the right choice. The first beach is wonderful and great for swimming and activities.I would recommend staying for 3-7 nights. I will definitely come back and to me, it was worth every penny.

Amazing stay in nature – unforgettable experience We had a fantastic time at this resort! The rooms were beautiful, spacious and surrounded by the lush forest — every morning we woke up to the sounds of birds, wind in the trees and the waves of the sea. It was peaceful, relaxing, and truly immersive. The breakfast was delicious, with both local and international options. The resort also had two nature trails right on site — both scenic and well maintained, perfect for an early walk. Just a few minutes away there was a cultural center with shops, local restaurants and access to several trekking routes. A perfect mix of nature, comfort and local charm. Highly recommended!

Positives first: We loved the resort and its location, surrounded by jungle and with the beach and warm sea for some lovely relaxation. Staff are helpful and the restaurant is good, although we went to nearby Escobar in the evenings which has a great menu along with beer and cocktails. We very much enjoyed our 3in1 boat trip even though dolphin and crocodile sightings were fleeting, seeing the baby turtles at Satang island was very special. Easy walk to Sarawak Cultural village which we really enjoyed too. Now the negatives: We didn't expect luxury accommodation in the jungle but compared to the marketing and similar accommodation on the rest of our trip, the 6 bed room fell quite some way below our expectations. The beds are uncomfortable, pillows thin, no duvet or covering sheet is provided, just a small, thin cover which is completely inadequate. The sheets covering the mattresses were both stained and holey. Paint on the walls is flaking and light switches are black with the dirt, bathroom sink has old mould around it. It needs some updating and proper bedding provided and then it would be lovely.

The place is very basic in everything. Needs a huge upgrade. Not very clean. You have to pay for using a beach towel. Breakfast is pathetic ( I.e. elastic square bread, not real fruit mermelade but entirely sugar, the bottom of low cost products) Personal in the réception are often using their phone and are not very fliendly. Not a good price- quality report. Sydney, the manager it’s very nice and helpful, but she can not make big desicions. We came for a week and wanted to leave before but higher management refused to accept the refund. They did not care we were not happy with service they decided to keep the money and not offer a refund. For the same price you get nicer hôtels and services just in the hôtels next door. I will avoid this place.

Overall very disappointing but in fairness there are some positives - interesting accommodation in the trees surrounded by the jungle and wildlife. Beaches are lovely.||Negatives:|- checked in at 3pm - arrived in treehouse (after a long journey) to find room not made up, dirty towels, bins full, etc. Had to walk back to reception and back (15 mins) to arrange housekeeping. Had to vacate the room again. |- no extra beds made up despite 2 children. Was rectified eventually. |- balcony door would not lock (required with youngish children). Maintenance did come and rectify.|- towels were heavily stained |- bathroom floods after a shower|- have to hire beach towels |- cannot dry clothes anywhere - an issue when in the rainforest and on day trips |- lastly we had by far and away the worst two meals of our trip so far (3 weeks into a 6 week SE Asia trip staying in a wide variety of accommodation). Service very very slow . Chicken rendang - two morsels of chicken full of bones left approx two mouthfuls left and the roti was dripping with oil and inedible. Breakfast was surprisingly even worse… |- despite having dinner included on the second night, we ate at the pool bar of the neighbouring restaurant. We were not the only family doing this.||The resort needs a big overhaul in my opinion.

It’s a great experience for one night into the nature. The room on the tree are very cute, but also rustic. Not fancy at all, be ready for getting into the forest :) We had dinner at the restaurant, food is delicious but it took 1 hour of waiting for eating so go early or book in advance ;)
