Lovely drive out to the lookout. Parking is close to the entrance of the walk, and toilets available. The walk down to the lookout has about 40 stairs, no handrails and no wheelchair access. We visited when raining, but still a lovely view.

Access is now bitumen all the way to the carpark where there are toilets and picnic benches. A short walk with some gradual steps to the lookout where there are spectacular views. Another lookout is a short walk down some more steps. The walk continues on down into the bottom of the valley but is very steep and long, especially coming back up. Well worth the effort if you're familiar with grade 4 hikes though.

Anvil lookdown has better views, but this is a great starting point for a hike down to the blue gum forest, which is spectacular. And we saw kangaroo with a Joey on the way out!

Hidden gem!!! Perrys lookdown offers scenic views over Grose Valley, Blue Gum Forest and Mount Banks, on the western edge of Blue Mountains National Park. Its just 2 min easy walk from the car park (plenty of free car parks). Highly recommended!!!

A lovely spot, but Anvil Rock and Pulpit Rock both much better if you are in this area. Perry's Lookdown is a fantastic jumping off spot for many excellent [advanced] bushwalks though.

This is no longer a free campground at the lookout car park as per the sign but you can hike and camp at the acacia flat and leave your car at the parking area. The drive in is on new flat tar road with 30 new car spots as well as a section for tow vehicles , like caravans...Spectacular views.. and the hike down to the blue gum forest, wow... exhausting but worth it. There are new smelly drop down toilets in the car park area...

There are two lookouts within 250mtrs of the car park with about 75 steps. Access road now has approximately 2.5km gravel.

Hard hike down to river and back. Almost 700+ metres elevation gain.
