Nice communal vibe and very clean environment. Kitchen fully equipped. Good security facilities including a private lockable cupboard in dorm rooms. Lots of power outlets for charging devices. Helpful and friendly reception staff and good info about tours. Excellent location close to everything. Limited car parking spaces on site. Dorm rooms could do with updating, though, including newer bunk beds that don't squeak and groan from the slightest movement, as well as updated mattresses. Oh, PS, the hostel is quite close by to the central city train line, so be sure to make good use of free earplugs from the reception desk.

I went to this place probably about 2 yrs ago. It was average. Nothing bad, nothing good. But since then, it seems they've done up the place. The entrance and lobby are real nice, (and not confusing, like before). The desk staff are really nice! Every time! The rest of the hostel has been upgraded too. New carpet everywhere, and the outside areas are extremely comfortable, and everywhere is clean! This is an awesome hostel. I will definitely be back!

Great location, everything you need within walking distance. Kitchens were small but well equipped, one was broken during my time. Close to railway station which was extremely convenient but made it loud at times. Mattresses were by far the worst I’ve slept on throughout my stay in Australia - I could feel every spring in them. Aside from that, no complaints. Staff was great, plenty of spaces to hang out with comfortable lounge chairs. Modern and tidy.

Really loved this hostel! Everything was spotless, good cooking facilities, comfy rooms, air conditioning, and friendly staff. I'm no longer young, but there were about 1/2 of the people my age too, so didn't feel out of place. I'd definitely go back!

Good basic accommodation. Has full YHA facilities as well as gym and pool. Very handy for railway station but bring your earplugs if you are in a room facing tracks. Staff helpful.

Clean. Well equipped, Close to the city centre, bar/restaurant (if you're able to call it that) only open in mornings. Great for train spotting as the lines right outside of your window. Aircon is a little hit/miss. Parking definitely is not free.

Hotel was pretty good, kitchen utensils were all there. Didn’t get the vibe I was hoping, was thinking there would be heaps of young travellers staying (but Covid probably impacted this). Was turned off by the receptionist when I checked in. He was extremely rude and not welcoming at all. However, everybody else I came across were lovely!

The good: excellent location, centrally located. Place is routinely cleaned around the clock. It's affordable for a short term stay. They have a minibar on the ground floor and lounges like most YHA's. My main concern was a cheap place to stay that is CLEAN and they do a good job of keeping it that way. The bad: the midland train station is close by which is a plus, however, it is very loud if you happen to be in a room with a window open toward it. Some of the staff are rude. This one Indian guy told us to book online because he couldn't bother to help us over the phone. Most staff were helpful and nice.
