Pestana Amsterdam Riverside

Really happy I picked this hotel. It’s a fantastic building very historical on the outside and modern on the inside. Staff members are very professional and efficient. I’m welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was a great experience. Next time when I’m back in Amsterdam, I would definitely choose a hotel again. On site, you have plenty of facilities and amenities.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean, good facilities and very modern. Staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had questions or needs. Only minor point was the accessibility of the lift as it always seemed to be in use, often by staff. We only used the lift once in the 3 days as a result of not being able to access it. Will stay again next time we visit.

This is a great hotel. Although not central location, it’s a perfect place to be based to relax after a busy day in the centre. We walked to the centre each day and had an uber back (16 euros)|Our room (superior double) was spacious, well designed and above all super clean (well done to housekeeping).|The breakfast options are almost everything you need. Hot choices from scrambled eggs, beans, sausages, bacon, pancakes and vegetation option. Fruit, pastries, smoothies, yogurts, cheese, meats and salads. The orange juice is delicious and you can have a cheeky glass of Prosecco if you wish to. You won’t go hungry. For me though I felt that for a 5* there should be the option of having eggs cooked to order. There is a menu with cooked breakfast dishes (Benedict), although it’s charged. The toaster requires an upgrade ;)|Spa is lovely for an hour and the bar has a cozy relaxed feel and delicious cocktails. |Friendly staff, beautiful hotel, tasty breakfast and super clean - I recommend a stay here.

What a lovely experience we had at this hotel. The staff was adorable, very kind and always helpful. The amenities are great (very spacious rooms), so is the location, and the fact that it’s a charming renovated historic building creates a sumptuous atmosphere. Could not rate it any better. Great value for money.

Pestana Riverside Hotel, is in a lovely location of Amsterdam. Close enough to the hussle and bussle of busy area's and quiet inside the room. Public transportation is around the corner. There are many many diverse restaurants any which way you go. The super market a hop and skip away. The staff is so generous and kind on all levels and all stations. You can pick from a list of different material pillows to suit your need and comfort. All staff go out of their way to accommodate their guests. The hotel has a wonderful workout room with all sorts of maschines and weights. The lap pool is great, likewise the sauna, steamroom and change rooms. Lush bath towels and robes. I have been two times to this hotel and will continue to come back. A special shout-out to Chrysa, the guest relations person. What a warm welcome and true care she provided each time again. I cannot praise her profesionalism enough. The little surprises in my room, like the bottle of wine, the Portuguese pastries, the fruit basket and the box of chocolates upon departure. Chrysa made me feel like I was at home away from home. Thank you all for making my stay once more so memorable.

Especially Chrysa (the magical concierge fairy) and Eleanora at the restaurant, both of whom gave me tons of useful information on the area now that I’ll be living in NL and were always happy to help with whatever I needed. Impeccable service, welcoming environment, friendly and flexible staff, and a great location for a more laid-back area of Amsterdam. I will absolutely be returning!

Just amazing. The staff are lovely and the feel of the place is both relaxing and energising for your days walking around the capital. We didn’t realise there’s a pool so didn’t take trunks but our room was so lovely getting up in the morning was a wrench. We had the deluxe river view room and moved the telly so we could just sit on our sofa and watch the barges and cruise boats go by. Lots of great bars and restaurants nearby and an Uber takes you to the Jordaan for around 20 euros. ||I can’t fault this hotel. 6 stars!!!!!!

Nice upper scale restaurant in Amsterdam, by the Amstel river a bit outside of the hustling and bustling city center. It is about a 15 min cab ride. It is kinda of a weird entry to the lobby as you have to go up two flights of stairs but that is normal in Amsterdam. The lobby is bright and airy. The restaurant is downstairs in the main building. They have multiple buildings and the one that we stayed at that has family suites is in the back. The rooms are modern and functional. Our room even has a microwave. Service is typically great. We had an issue our first night with our AC as the windows would not lock in place. They sent a repairman but he couldn't fix it. So the first night we barely slept. The best service so far has been from their Italian concierge Vincenzo who is very nice and knowledgeable. He has been in Amsterdam for 9 years and has good recommendations. We paid around $450 a night for a suite with 4 people. Parking is an extra 45 euros a night.

We stayed at this hotel during the back half of our trip to Amsterdam. I was looking for a hotel that provided a high quality stay, while being slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the city center and Pestana Amsterdam Riverside fit the bill. We were impressed as soon as we walked into the building as the lobby is inviting and gorgeous and we were able to check-in to our room hours ahead of our advertised check-in time. The river view room was perfect! The room was spacious and the view was beautiful. The bed was even more comforatble than my one at home and the hotel offered options to have alternative pillow sytles delivered to the room to match personal preferences. With fewer food options in the direct vicinity (less than 1 min walk) we ended up ordering last night room service twice. The food was solid and showed up very quickly. On the first night, I had some technical difficulty with the app for ordering room service which resulted in me having to call in the food. To me this was no big deal, but the next evening the hotel sent up a bottle of sparkling wine and some dessert to apologize for the incovience. I was blown away and this really speaks to how the hotel takes care of its guests. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to check out the resturant or the spa, but I would be shocked if they we not also great!

Everything was 1st class from the minute we walked in the door. The first leg of our Viking River Cruise. Beautiful firm mattress. Great 1st sleep From travel time difference from USA. Beautiful breakfast with great variety of breakfast items. A nice boutique hotel, great service I would return again.

This is a gorgeous hotel I. The most ideal the location. The service is amazing and I love it so much I extended my stay.

It's about 50€ a night overpriced. Room quality, service and amenities do not line up with the rates charged.

Excellent hotel. Clean and comfortable. Nice rooms and amenities, but the staff is the best part. They are very accommodating and great people. Thank you Pestana staff for a great time.
