Pestana Cidadela Cascais

Excellent hotel. set within the walls of a n ancient fort,. We loved the location' on a peaceful square, opposite a good traditional restaurant. Relaxing in the gardens and in the shade of olive trees around the pool was a great pleasure. The local beaches and interesting museums were minutes' walk away. The breakfast was one of the best we've experienced, eaten on a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly ckean and comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious. The staff at reception, bar and pool were all very friendly and welcoming. The hotel is near all the amenities of the town however is very quiet at night. We had a great night’s sleep and will definitely return.

Cannot fault this individual and uniquely styled hotel. Great location with lots of quirky features. Nice rooms. Excellent views from the breakfast area. Plentiful choices for breakfast. Lovely relaxing pool area set in gardens. Helpful staff. Would not hesitate to return.

I just wanted to say thank you to the whole teamfor making our stay at the Pestana such a memorable one. The service was impeccable and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. The staff were wonderfully attentive and helpful especially Vera. Our holiday in Cascais and staying at the Pestana will be a trip we will all remember for a long time. Our son didn't want to come home.

A stunning hotel in a great location. The staff were absolutely the best. So friendly and nothing was any trouble. Breakfast especially was made a delight by all the staff. I’d like to make a special mention of Ana & Arefin who always chatted and made time for us. Simone in reception was also very welcoming and in the Spa I would recommend that visitors take up the complimentary massage with the Brazilian masseur Brenna. Best massage I’ve ever had. This hotel offers a memorable experience inside an old fortress, blending history with comfort. The location is ideal—just steps from great restaurants and shops in the heart of the tourist area. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, with plenty of thoughtful amenities throughout the property. The layout can be a bit confusing, so expect some walking to get around. Bathrooms are serviceable but could use better lighting. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Lobby bar is fantastic.

This is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed in. Made all the better by the most amazing staff. Arefin in particular made our trip special and was incredibly helpful; always taking time to chat with us and offer advice. Had a few great chats with Rodrigo at the pool bar. And many other lovely staff members whose names I sadly never learned. Everything you could want is right nearby and it’s a quick trip to some amazing beaches, restaurants and bars…. But it’s hard to see them when it’s as amazing at the hotel as it is. :) We’ll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel! What truly made our experience exceptional, though, was the staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. A special thank you to Ayoub, who served us at breakfast each morning with such genuine kindness and attentiveness—his friendly service made a lasting impression. We would absolutely return and highly recommend this gem!
