Pestana Rovuma

Room was very dirty stayed in room number 817. There was alot of dust once I moved the bed forward when searching for a plug to charge my phone. Am still at the hotel but am not happy at all. My dates were for 21-24 March 2025

One of the oldest hotels in town Still has his vibe. Always welcomes you with a warm hug. Service is good. Restaurant it's very nice. Rooms comfortable and spacious Yes. It does have a gym on th 4th floor. Very nice.

It is a paradise on earth. One feels at home indeed.

At this hotel you can find a few shops that sell gold jewelry as well as shops that buy from you any kind of gold. ( used jewelry etc) Parking is easy.

The hotel has a decent standard. The rooms are large, have good interior and bathrooms, with a private balcony. The view is down to the cathedral with a nice sunset in the background at dusk. The included breakfast is provided as a buffet. There are fresh fruits, cereals, eggs & omelets (cooked to order) and hot sausages, beacon, beans and potatoes. You can have it in the nicely styled restaurant room or on the balcony with view of the cathedral. The pool is small but offers a nice refresher when the temperatures rise over 40C. There are some deck chairs. At night you can have a variety of drinks at the bar - also on the balcony. The hotel also provides conference rooms, a small gym and free internet (which is not available at high speed in all rooms).

Parking was secure, reception was very friendly and efficient in getting us booked without a reservation. The food was not up to standard, the dinner was okay but not acceptable for the price, breakfast was also not up to standard as the confectionary items did not taste fresh. Overall safe hotel in Maputo, with friendly staff but food can be improved.

A nice hotel with astonishing view to the Maputo Cathedral, the City Hall, the Indian ocean (Maputo Bay) and the central part of the capital. Building is tall but was not crowded when I visited. Nice restaurant on the second floor with a terrace and access to the external swimming pool. Wifi however is very poor, though free. I had to go to the lobby or the restaurant to get decent reception. Rooms are clean and offer a balcony with the same amazing view. Air conditioned, but the AC unit in my room was quite noisy, blowing like a hurricane. In brief, very nice place, I even enjoyed the live music at the restaurant one night. Would recommend it!
