Pestana São Tomé

Words cannot say how awesome this hotel is! The staff is very helpful and really takes pride in helping their guests. The view from the pool is amazing and our room was extremely clean. The staff even had a plate of fresh fruit in our room as a welcome gift.||They breakfast was very good and a huge selection. The dinner and drink menu was very good and good prices.||We already are booked to go back again in June for a week!

This is a very nice hotel. The rooms have a fantastic view of the ocean. The ocean view and pool area have a great view. Nice places to walk and swim around the hotel compound. The staff are very friendly. The receptionists and manager are very nice and helpful. The restaurant food is good. Very nice desert. I recommend that the food is covered during the day because of the flies. Also, the bathtub should have a sliding door to prevent the water from wetting to the floor. I recommend this hotel. Great place to stay in Sao Tome.

I stayed at the Pestana São Tomé last month during my first visit to São Tomé, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable-right in front of the beach, offering breathtaking ocean views that I enjoyed every morning from the balcony of my spacious suite. The staffs were consistently polite and welcoming, adding a warm touch to the overall stay. My suite was clean, comfortable, and generously sized, making it easy to relax and settle in. Breakfast each morning offered a nice variety of options to suit different tastes, and the refreshing cocktails at the bar in the evenings were a great way to unwind. One of the highlights was the pool area, which provided a peaceful setting to relax and soak in the tropical atmosphere. I really appreciated the upscale feel of the entire property. It’s clear that attention is paid to both comfort and aesthetics. I would absolutely recommend Pestana São Tomé to anyone visiting the island who’s looking for a high-quality lodging experience in a prime beachfront location.

We stayed one week. |This hotel is excellent. Located on the first coastline with direct access to the sea.|Wery well-kept surroundings. Beautiful palm trees, plants etc.|Infinity pool. |Helpful and very friendly staff, reception, restaurant, bar, everywhere.|Large, spacious and clean rooms. Serviced every day. |We had a see view room.|We had a problem with a noisy air conditioning (failure) - we were offered another room without any problems. Big thanks to the hotel Manager.|Hotel offers free transport to and from the Airport. And free parking if you rent a car locally. ||Maybe we will come to Sao Tome Island again - we will definitely choose this hotel.

The Hotel ist located close to the airport yet very quiet and with an awesome seaview. The facilities are well maintained and the personal and even the manager himself provide excellent and kind service. The breakfast Buffet is big with delicious fruits and also the dinner even when just a la carte is excellent with plenty of seats inside or outside by the Ozean. The 2 Pestanas here are well conntected, enjoy the best of both.

Pestana São Tomé is a 5-star hotel located on the seafront of Ana Chaves Bay, São Tome. The hotel is strategically located to provide stunning views of the bay and horizon. The hotel has a private beach ( not swimmerable),an infinity swimming pool, and lush greenery. There is a modern gym, sauna, and spa services for relaxation and rejuvenation. The rooms are spacious withu European design. There is a Diving School to explore the crystal-clear waters of São Tome. Other water activities to have a relaxing yet fun stay. The staff are helpful, although most of the staff dont speak English they try to assist. This tropical paradise is perfect for relaxation and adventure.

Very disappointed with this hotel. Grounds are nicely maintained and manicured. The front desk staff, most who speak limited English, are cordial and were as helpful as possible. The infinity pool is clean, large with good water temp and the chaise lounges are comfortable. Basically, those are the pros of the property.||Cons: Hotel itself is old and in need of a refurb. Housekeeping is spotty. Our room was always cleaned around 4pm but often we had to call for towels and water which was not left. The bathroom had 1 glass ( for 2 people) and a lack of the usual amenities on offer at any other 5-Star hotel. Only liquid soap, body wash and shampoo was provided (no washcloths ). Our room keys did not work 4 days in a row which required us to trek back down to the lobby to get new keys. Very annoying. The two twin beds pushed together were very uncomfortable. The mattresses were very hard, the top sheet was too small and the pillows were very lumpy. Air-con worked great. The Jr Suite was a waste of additional cost because there was only a sofa, desk and coffee table. Apparently the TV that had been there was removed so the extra space was not really useful.||Food & beverage was very expensive for ST. We arrived late in the evening to find that there was no a-la-carte menu. The only dining room option was a buffet that looked very unappetizing and unappealing and the entire dining room stunk. We opted for the Chicken Wings on the bar menu. The cost was 10E per order and there were 3 small wings per order !! The bar did not sell the local beer just the imported from Portugal brands at a cost of 5E. Restaurant price for the Portugal brands in the local restaurants were between 1E - 2E each. A huge difference ! | Breakfast was ok but they did not always replenish items when they were out even though there was lots of time before breakfast ended. The man at the omelette station made a great omelette !| We received a survey about our stay on our second day of a 7 day trip. We expressed our dismay in the survey and were told that someone at the hotel will be reaching out to us to discuss our concerns but nobody ever came forward. | This hotel is said to be the best hotel on the island. I don't doubt that it is but it still falls short of a 5-Star designation.
