Pestana Troia Eco-Resort

Wonderful experience! Travelled in a group of four. A perfect retreat for people needing seclusion, in the midst of nature. The resort gives a rustic feel with wooden pathways and gates. The villas have amazing views. The villas were well heated and clean. The kitchen was amply stocked with all equipments one can think of. Would love to revisit again. The beach is truly secluded. If one wants to eat out or cook in the villas, Lidl/Aldi nd local restaurants are just 30 min away by car. Even the ride to and from the resort is scenic. Beautiful location. We could also check-in well ahead of time. Talking of the negatives, guests have to take out their own trash. Better to buy bottles of water than drink from the tap.

Liked - The location, beach and the swimming pools (the ones we had access to - one of the best pools is only for certain villa guests/owners) were clean, quiet and within a short distance of our apartment. The staff we did speak to were helpful and tried their best to answer our questions. Disliked - The rooftop area of our apartment was in very bad condition. The floorboards were broken or loose, and it was unsafe to walk on - my kids wouldn't go up there because of how uneven it was near the plunge pool. The wifi in our apartment didn't work so I had to buy a small Ethernet device from nearby and use that as a workaround. The facilities, equipment and restaurants were very hard work. Different companies ran the restaurant, beach bar, parasol hire, equipment hire and bike hire - so it was hard to know who to ask. The main restaurant at the front of the resort didn't serve dinner while we were there - (despite the opening times on the leaflet we found showing they did), which only left one place to eat on site. I messaged the resort on Booking.com three or four times but never received a reply. Since they didn't answer the phone, I had to walk nearly 1km to reception each time to try to get a response - this included when we had a power cut in our apartment. Apart from a speedy tour on a paper map, there were no guides in our apartment or any indication of where to find information, even where to put our rubbish. We'd often ask the staff around the site, or at the bars, but they didn't really know the answer. It felt all very disjointed and disorganised and more like a gated community than a resort.

Interesting concept. Comfortable, spacious, feels very luxurious overall. Access to a private beach. Would just recommend keeping the grocery store open for longer.

I had a fantastic stay at Pestana Troia Eco Resort! The accommodation exceeded my expectations—modern, spacious houses with private pools and stunning views. The rooms were cozy and inviting, and the balcony was a great spot to unwind after a day of exploring.||||The staff were friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The resort offers excellent amenities, including padel and tennis courts, which added an extra layer of fun to our trip.||||The location is unbeatable, just a short stroll from the beach, so we could easily enjoy the sand and sea whenever we wanted. For all the comfort and facilities provided, I found the price to be very reasonable.||||Whether you’re traveling with family or friends, Pestana Troia Eco Resort is an excellent choice for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable escape!

An eco-resort just a stone's throw from the beach, with a simply unique atmosphere and energy. We loved the house, super well decorated, spacious and with lots of sun exposure. We had access to swimming pools, pool table, football pitches, tennis courts, paddle tennis courts, etc. everything you need for a perfect holiday. We will certainly come back!

You cannot truly experience Troia without having stayed at Pestana Troia Eco Resort! I had the opportunity to stay here with a group of friends and our experience was amazing. Because we were a big group, we had different villas, all of them incredible. My villa was at ground level and we had an amazing pool, view for the dunes and a sense of tranquillity.|The bed as extremely comfortable, I slept like a baby.||Another highlight was our lunch at the property restaurant, Moana, which is something not to miss out! The food is delicious and the view is even better.||The staff was super kind and made sure we had everything we need thought the whole stay.||I cannot wait to came back!

Amazing experience! We came with 20 people for a corporate retreat and it exceeded all our expectations! The location is beautiful, nested in nature and just 2 minutes away from a private beach. The rooms are well mantained, simple but beautiful designs with private pool! The staff was incredibly nice and helped us with everything we needed.
