Pesto Widnes

It's a really good restaurant, the food is really lovely, and there are also good wines. The staff were really nice and correct. The ambiance is also very lovely and cozy.

The staff are lovely and very friendly. The food, well presented and was overall okay - nothing to write home about. Only issue really was, we ordered a water with a lemon slice in... All drinks came with lemon slice, except the water. So when the waitress came back and ordered our food we asked again if we could have some lemon slices for the water- was told "of course!" That never came either. We ordered quite a few different bits across the four of us. Didn't feel anything was particularly special. If it was a group setting and someone else chose the place, would I come back - yes. Would I personally choose to come back, probably not. There's much nicer places nearby.

Pesto widnes was fantastic. The food was very nice. We attended for a 60th birthday as a party of 7. We spent £157 on drinks, food and deserts. All very good quality. Leaky toilet but not an issue. Plenty of options and good deals on 3xplates. Everyone was very happy. Only reason I've put 4 star is because we were rushed off the table. Not a very good experience when your half way through eating your desert.

The food is always delicious and the service is always great. We did wait a bit longer for food than we have before, but staff were checking on us, making sure we were okay. Our server was Little Marta and we just love her. Always happy when she serves us, as she's really attentive and friendly.

Pesto in Widnes has quickly become a favorite spot for work lunches and social outings alike. Set in the beautifully restored Old Globe pub, the restaurant feels unique and inviting, completely shedding the typical “chain” atmosphere. The food is consistently brilliant, served quickly, and backed by some of the best service in Widnes—staff are always friendly, warm, and incredibly helpful with the extensive menu. Though it pains me to admit that a chain might be the best restaurant in town, Pesto genuinely earns that title. I’ve visited many times and always leave impressed. While the vegan options could be expanded, everything else about the experience is spot on. Hopefully, it will inspire other local restaurants to follow their example.

We were a party of 11 and all really impressed with the service, staff were lovely and food arrived quickly. Meal was amazing, all good quality food. Was quite busy/noisy but didn’t ruin the evening.

First visit to Pesto and it was very enjoyable. The menu has a large selection of small plates and we were advised that 3 per person was about the equivalent to a normal size meal. We got the 3 plates each and garlic bread to share and that was more than enough. The service was quick and the food quality was very good. I will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

Went for a lunch with my friend. Service was good. We were asked of food allergies prior to making order. Food was nice and prices reasonable.
