I was super anxious to bring my newly rescued year old puppy to get her nails clipped but Lucy was so gentle with her and so kind to us both that we almost forgot why we were there. She made us feel comfortable and at ease from the moment we got there through to the finish. I look forward to booking with Lucy in the future! She is excellent!

I brought my German Shepherd in for a bath with Lucy B. & she was wonderful! He has some quirks but she was patient & kind with both me & my dog. She listened to me & assured me she would take care of my sweet boy & she did just that. I won’t bring him to anyone else as long as she’s here! Thank you, Lucy!

I’ve been bringing my dog here for nearly three years, but unfortunately, my recent experience was very disappointing. After starting my dog’s wash, I was informed by Eliza that some of the supplies I’ve always relied on (such as shampoo and a brush for drying my long-haired goldendoodle) are no longer available. I was encouraged to finish as quickly as possible, so I began the wash while they were putting together the self-grooming basket. None of the changes were communicated in advance, and I only found out once my dog was already soaking wet. We had a conversation about changes to the shampoo offerings during the wash AND she saw that I only had 1 towel with me since entering, so I would have appreciated a more thorough update about any additional changes to the self-wash setup at that point. As a member, it’s frustrating that no notice was posted or sent out about these updates as well. Even if there has been a policy change, better communication would go a long way and more care and compassion for my dog. At this point, the service and offering no longer reflects the value I’ve come to expect (paying for water and air), and I’ll be looking for other options moving forward.

I received a coupon today that says for in-store use or online. Went to the store and their system couldn’t scan the barcode. They kept accusing us of already using the coupon for an order from 2 months ago, but the coupon was sent to the account today so that’s irrelevant. They didn’t apologize but kept saying they would put this through this one time as if they were doing us a favor. Told us to call customer service and it turned out that the coupon works fine this whole time and the store was the issue.

Never going to their vet clinic again. I've made several appointments here and have had them cancel. As I'm on my way to the appointment I get a call and the lady says it was too late for my appointment, then why allow someone to book an appointment at that time if its late and you can't honor the times you have? Another time they canceled because a vet had to leave. Okay fine the third time I made an appointment I called and told them I was running 10 min behind( mind you I'm coming from stem, nc and the traffic to glenwood is horrible) they said its okay as long as its only 10min. When I get there they refuse to see my dog. The receptionists don't care about customer service.

Only giving two stars because of the Vet side. They were great with my cat at his appointment. We got a puppy on Friday 3/21 and had a 20% coupon off on our purchase. We went in and bought dog food, a bed, and all the necessities. Fed our dog the food two days in a row and he ended up having SEVERE DIARRHEA. upon inspecting the bag, I realized that the dog food was EXPIRED IN February. I went in wanting to exchange the food and hoping to still use my coupon for food because this was petcos mistake. They did not want to honor our 20% off the dog food. My dog literally has severe diarrhea and isn't eating or drinking food and we've only had him now 3 days. He's only 10 weeks so we are concerned... not good costumer service.. the register person contacted the manager and they didn't even come up to the register.. 0 stars for the store side.

Welcoming and pleasant staff here. A staff member in this Petco assisted me by checking the back for the Royal Canine food I was searching for. The person went over and beyond. Expressing when the next truck should come and suggesting I should check back. I appreciate the level customer service and attentiveness by this staff member who was a stocker on the day I visited.

Here's a review based on your experience: Title: Extremely Poor Customer Service from Store Manager Margret I recently visited this Petco location. unfortunately, I had a dreadful experience with the store manager, Margret. On February 25,2025, I arrived at the store at 8:50 PM, well before the closing time. After browsing for a bit, I attempted to exchange a small, half-full bag of dog food that my dogs didn't like. A coworker had previously informed me that exchanges were allowed for this reason. The issue was not that I could not exchange the item, it was the way she handled it. A kind and friendly apology saying I'm so sorry I wish I could let you exchange this, but it's against store policy to exchange. (Even though I was told that if my dogs didn't like it, I could return.) However, Margret refused the exchange in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner. When I expressed my disappointment, she suggested that I find a store with later hours, implying that it was an inconvenience for her to assist me before closing time. To add insult to injury, when I asked for her name and informed her that I would be reporting her behavior, she responded with a sarcastic "thank you." She also made a snide comment about enjoying the free samples of the three dog cookies. I left the store feeling disrespected and unvalued as a customer. The time of my visit, 8:50 PM, was clearly not an inconvenience, as evidenced by the timestamp on my car's clock when I departed: 9:02 PM. If Petco did not want to serve customers before 9 pm, they shouldn't have their store still open and close it early. It was clear that she had a bad attitude about having to work until 9 pm. I suggest Petco to get a nicer manager. I hope that Petco will take my complaint seriously and address Margret's unacceptable behavior. As a loyal customer, I expect better treatment from store managers. I will not return to this location but visit other petco's in the area. Rating: 1/5 stars

1) poor customer service 2) the dog bath is basically water- so u r paying $9.99 for water; there is no shampoo or conditioner that come out 3) items are ALWAYS ringing up incorrectly (at a higher price)...hmmm 4) manager will not hear out a customer's valid complaints I have 5 pets & use to shop here for the past 7 months w/constant problems. Finally decided my money, time & sanity are best fit for another doggie store-Petsmart or Chewy! Do urself a favor! Avoid this train wreck of a store. Yes the one on Glenwood in Raleigh, NC.

I just had the worst experience with the grooming manager at the Pleasant Valley location in Raleigh. I called to understand why I was not able to make an appointment online, and was told (and not nicely) that my dog is not welcome there. This was a shock to me, because when I picked up my dog (just two weeks ago) from his most recent grooming at that location, the groomer was very friendly and said that my dog was cooperative and well behaved. I was surprised that the person on the phone was the manager. She was extremely combative, and to say she was unprofessional is an understatement. She kept reading notes from his file, which were contradictory and confusing. When I asked for clarification-- this was all a surprise to me--she was very rude and ultimately hung up on me ("I'm not going to keep going back and forth with you"). I am a Vital Care Premier member, have used Repeat Delivery for my pets' food for probably a decade now, and have been and otherwise loyal Petco customer. No more. I am looking for ways to extricate myself from Petco completely.

I schedule my appointment two weeks in advance. I got my notice to confirm not once but twice. I replied both times and even got a confirmation stating they would see me at my appointment. This morning while getting ready I got a call stating that my appointment had been cancelled because they did not get a verbal confirmation. Where is it stating that I have to do a verbal confirmation I have always done a text confirmation and never not this issue. I request that they tell me where it says that in the policy. No one can because it is not written so they make up the policies as they go and consumers are just supposed to know that they exist. So I went to the office because I wanted them to show me the policy they cannot and now they can add my dog back to the schedule in the same spot that they had told me it was canceled. So I waited around for 2 hours and while I was waiting, I called another vetco in Cary NC, and asked hey it's policy that you have to have verbal confirmation the lady immediately says NO text is fine. Then when I told her my issue she placed me on hold comes back and stated oh yeah that is a policy I said again where is that how would I know that this is a thing??? Can't tell me put me on hold and then comes back to state that she can have someone reach out to me in 24 hours. So my appt is at 1130 I make sure I am in there at 1129. I stand in the waiting area for 14 mins and the in the room for 45 mins before someone comes then another 30mins and As I am walking out because at this point I'm over this whole situation they come to give my dog 2 shots and then they even charged me more than it was quoted but I knew that if I did not just pay and leave it was not going to end well. Mind you a month prior they canceled on me the day of again because the provider did not come to work and did not offer any resolution nor apology. I WILL NEVER GET SERVICES AT VETCO AGAIN!!!!

We originally came over to Petco to entertain my baby! It's too hot to be outside and birds and fish make for great entertainment. #momtip ;) I mean for all he knows Petco is the aquarium! We brought our pup along as well and of course ended up purchasing some new treats and toys for her. This Petco is in a plaza that is undergoing a lot of renovations, but finding it is super easy and so is parking. We interacted with quite a few employees while there and everyone was super friendly and wanted to make sure we were finding what we were looking for. They have a big selection of dog items and a huge selection of pets. From neon fish to ferrets they had plenty to look at. My son's favorite was the birds. They are super colorful and fun to watch.

the guy who does Grooming refused to cut my dog toenails or give her a bath because of one toenail that grows up he could of cut the rest of them and give her a bath but he rather h a conversation with someone who doesn't have a. Dog I've had her for 10 years she weighs 20lbs. Not everyone can afford 200 dollars to go to vet for toenails to be cut now my dog has to suffer

This new Petco is going to be my new one stop shop for my two pups! They have everything you need. This Petco offers dog grooming, dog self-wash, dog training, veterinary care and pet adoptions! They also make shopping easier with a buy online, pick up in-store service. Their customer service is top notch. I found a cheaper price online for the dog treats I was purchasing and they changed the price for me! You can tell the people who work here truly want to help and make your experience great. The prices are on the higher side but they do offer different discounts and coupons! Noteworthy: * Petco is the first and only major retailer of pet food to not sell pet food and treats with artificial ingredients. * Animals available at the store are from local rescues!

I'm really upset with my experience at this Petco when I brought my dog to be groomed here on 12/14/21. When I picked up my yorkie after a couple of hours, people talked to me as if everything was normal & checked me out telling me that she had behaved well and they had enjoyed her. I brought my dog home and realized she had a deep cut on her stomach that nobody had told me anything about. I couldn't believe that I left my dog in their care and no one told me any information about an accident that had occurred where my dog was injured. The stylist I left my dog with was Matthias and I will never bring my dog to be groomed at a Petco again, but especially would never trust the people at this particular store. I understand that accidents happen but the lack of honesty is what is the most bothersome about the entire experience.

absolutely love this petco team! Michelle & Ciara were super helpful and informative. I purchased two Beta Fish at the Knightdale location who passed and I wanted to exchange them. I felt so silly walking in the store with 2 dead beta's in a lunch box. I brought a sample of water which Ciara swiftly tested. I felt so well taken care of and the extensive amount of knowledge Ciara had about the aquatic portion of the store was overwhelmingly refreshing. I learned so much! There was a good amount of customers in the store and I never felt rushed by Ciara or Michelle to hurry along. They took care of me along with the other customers so gracefully. Everyone's needs were met which is hard to do sometimes in the customer service industry. I loved these gals and feel so comfortable in this store. Thanks Petco Team!

Will sell faulty fish tanks and does not care that they do so. We bought a 29 gal fish tank here two years ago. It stated leaking (this is the opposite of what anyone wants). They weren't helpful at all to find a solution. I bought a 10 gallon quick replacement to keep fish alive and it was cracked. Very unreliable and unhelpful.

Update to my previous review: Managers at the store responded quickly to my call about my dog being cut on the stomach while being groomed & they said that their protocol is for pet parents to be notified that their dog was injured & so they profusely apologized for what had taken place. I was able to make an appointment for my dog at the vet of my choice & they covered the entire cost. My dog had to get three staples and a shot though, that's how deep the wound was which shows how serious it was. They handled it well afterwards and I really appreciate both Kelly & Morgan, managers I had spoken to and I wanted to let people know that it was handled with empathy, care & professionalism even though the initial experience was horrible. I personally would be hesitant to bring a dog to be groomed when this kind of thing has happened to several people but I wanted to give credit where credit is due for how it was handled! (yelp wouldn't let me edit my initial review for some reason)

I will give 0 star if I can. I usually consider this store as the best store in Raleigh. However, I will change my view after an extremely poor customer service on July 13, 2021. My uncle and I went to the store to swap a dead fish for him and buy some fish for myself. A representative named Christian lectured us about fish tank size and how to care for fish. Then, he prevented another representative from selling us fish. After an argument in which the guy had an extremely rude manner, he kicked us out of the store. He eventually said he doesn't care about I will give either negative or positive customer service review later. I will consider future shopping for my pets somewhere else.

It opened few months ago. It's clean and staff are nice. Some staff are still learning about animals I guess. They have free puppy class every weekend at 1pm that great to make a socialize for your puppy.
