A while ago I purchased a Peter Millar's expensive (MSRP $245, style MS16EZ12) water resistant product (short sleeve shirt) for discounted price.
After 6 or 7 times of normally using it on a business trip, I found a defect in the right packet of this rarely used Peter Millar shirt.
The fabric holding the right packet content detached from the base.
Since I wasn't expecting such shor life from the expensive product, I called the customer service for assitance.
But effectively, there was NONE.
I was asked to write an email and provide pictures.
OK, fine.
I wrote an email with explanations and attached a few pictures of the shirt, including the defective packet attached to this email.
I was really hoping that Peter Millar company could assist in this rather minor for them (this is what I thought initially) issue.
There was no reply to my email for two (2) weeks, so I called the customer service once again.
Then the customer service rep went back and checked the email that I sent and advised that I should repair it on my own.
Well, I thought, they may not have the facilities to fix such defects .
When I asked: If I go to a 3rd party to fix it, who would cover the cost?
the customer service rep advised that they can give my a $20 credit towards the next purchase.
I asked to the manager to see how this could be resolved, at least to have the repair money reimbursed after all.
I did not ask for the time compensation involved in trying to resolve it.
The Peter Millar's customer service manager response was the same they can give my a $20 credit towards the next purchase,
So I asked what if I will not buy from Peter Millar again, and the response was: "well,you'll have that credit"..
In this case there will be no another order or purchase of the Peter Millar product!!!
HIGHLY DISSAPOINTING.

The expensive prducts (that's ok, the customer has the right to choose) but treated really cheap by customer service.
Overall not impressinve with the quality.
For that experience and the business attitued 0 stars.
Had to select 1 star - only to be able to share the experience..
Will never buy the Peter Millar product again.

The most disturbing fact in that case was the customer service's "leave me alone" attitude.
They were not only behind the quality of their expensive product (well - ok once again - things happen)
but also the company was not interested in taking care of the small, compare to the product price, issue.
