It's been a long time since I've found great xiao long bao. Petit Bao has done a fantastic job with all the dishes I tried - silken tofu, hong shao, and of course xiao long bao. The chilled silken tofu with its gentle sour and vinegar flavor pairs beautifully with the warm, spicy hong shao. The hong shao itself was fried so the outside has a nice patina of sauce and the inside is soft and full of eggplant flavour - lovely balance. Be warned, it is just a little bit spicy! Now for the xiao long bao. The dough was springy and firm, held itself together well, yet was still thin enough to not overwhelm the flavours inside. The broth was packed with flavour, and the filling was moist with a good balance of meat and veg. There is nothing here to improve. So thrilled I came, thank you!

I really loved this Chinese food restaurant. All the dishes I’ve tried are delish. I went three times in a week to try different options. All of them were amazing. What I liked the most were the garlic chicken and the fried mushrooms with cumin. I recommend having those with a beer. Definitely a must-go restaurant in Paris. 10/10

Nicely designed, and well thought concept. Polite staff, but the food itself is not worth the hype. Dumplings and buns were fresh, and made on site, but you can surely have more authentic flavors in regular in Chinese owned, not so designed places.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We stumbled across this restaurant after the gym and decided to give it a try — and wow, we were blown away! The food was absolutely incredible. The sweet and sour chicken with noodles was honestly some of the best we’ve ever had. We also tried the xiao long bao (soup dumplings) which came with a helpful guide on how to eat them properly with the spoon — such a nice touch, and they were delicious. The bao buns were good too, although we definitely over-ordered as the fried wontons (which were amazing) were more than enough to share. We’ll 100% be returning and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for flavour-packed, high-quality food in a relaxed setting.

Petit Bao is a charming little spot that fills up quickly—I arrived right at noon and was lucky to get a seat next to the kitchen, which was a great experience. Watching the chefs make xiao long bao live added a nice touch to the ambiance, making it feel authentic and lively. While the atmosphere was enjoyable, the food itself had some highs and lows. As someone familiar with Asian cuisine and having tried places like Din Tai Fung, I found certain flavors could be improved. The pork bao in particular was a bit disappointing—it was quite simple, just meat inside, whereas I’m used to versions with egg and sausage, which add more depth. Of course, that’s a personal preference, but it left me wanting more. On the other hand, the Dan Dan noodles were absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. I would definitely order them again! Overall, it’s a nice spot for a casual bao experience in Paris, but if you’re looking for something truly exceptional in terms of taste, there’s room for refinement. Still, worth a visit for the ambiance and fresh dumplings!

One of my GO TO spots. Been coming here for years. Don’t hesitate, but unfortunately neither do other people, so there’s always a line. But it goes by relatively quick (roughly 15 min wait usually). Sometimes, I find myself craving coming here so definitely easy to enjoy.

Food was great, the waiter was really nice, and the atmosphere is very cool. Plus they let you split the bill and pay very easily from your phone, which was highly appreciated. Also the prices are fair for the area and the food and portions.

Visited Petit Bao a year ago and genuinely still thinking about it. One of the best meals I have ever had!! Cannot recommend this place enough, must visit. Would travel from Australia to Paris again just for this!

Yelp
Is this the best Shanghai food? No but it's pretty good for paris considering. It's pretty casual seating and the prices are reasonable. All of the buns I found subpar but I love both the eggplant dishes, fried mushrooms and sesame noodles! Good for a fun dinner with friends

Yelp
Bao-chicka-wow-wow! Currently reminiscing about Petit Bao from @bao.family in Paris, France. After spending a couple hours traveling through time at the Louvre, from Ancient Greece to Italy, we came across this small joint while walking through the streets of Paris. A cool café nestled comfortably near the Louvre, Petit Bao serves Shanghai-style bao dumplings, stir fries and small bites alongside Chinese teas and Hong Kong ales. The food was incredible, from pillowy to crispy, sweet to spicy, and everything in between, every bite had our taste buds feeling spoiled. This landed amongst our top 5 favorite meals of our entire 2-week Europe trip, owed to not only the flavors but thoughtful service and highly-energetic atmosphere. [x]: favorite dishes Beating the rush by just a few minutes, our server ushered us to the last two-top by the window, where we comfortably made a home with our lunch: GOLD MUSHROOMS - oyster mushrooms from La Cabernet de La Chapelle urban farm, very crispy breadcrumbs, cumin powder. [x] XIAOLONGBAO VEGGIE STYLE - steamed bites, veggie style [x] BAOZI VEGGIE - brioche, seasonal vegetables AUBERGINES HONG SHAO - melty Chinese eggplant, secret sauce, slightly spicy The bao were our favorite dishes.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times now. Very friendly staff but its location means there's tremendous pressure to turn tables during peak hours. Not a place for a leisurely dine.

Yelp
We came after lunch one day and got seated immediately. The soup dumplings were pretty good. Lots of soup in them but lacked a bit of flavor. We tried the crab and seafood and truffle soup dumplings. I loved the truffle soup dumplings. We also tried chicken and noodles, both were just okay, nothing to rave about. Overall, service was quick and food was alright.

Yelp
Great dumplings, super friendly service, paying by QRC code and Apple pay. You don't need much more for some lunch?

Yelp
More like 3.75 stars - A bit pricey but good service and temporarily fixed my Asian food craving. I always envisioned my first meal in Paris to be a buttery-confit-pate-esque meal but my body needed some comfort food after the hectic week of travel prior to Paris. I walked past Petit Bao and the name + ambience pulled me in ("Bao" is my magic word). I got the classic Shanghai bun, wontons in chilli oil and fried rice. The first two were great - I love chilli oil with a vengeance and this one was great. The fried rice was.. too soy-sauced our for me. Return? Hmm, hard one. I reckon there are better places out there but never say never. If yes, I would skip the rice and just get the appetizers.

Yelp
Very poor food quality! Such a big disappointment Once we share the feedback with the manager, we were surprised by how indifferent he was as if it was no big deal to them! I would not recommend this place!

Yelp
Been craving xio long bao and was pleasantly surprised to find this hole In the wall with an unassuming and easy to miss storefront. Ordered the traditional and was not disappointed. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Yelp
We ate here for an afternoon snack after flying into Paris from our flight. The restaurant is really busy so it was a short wait during lunch time. We just ordered xiaolongbaos and spinach. Spinach looks so simple but it was surprisingly good. We shared the vegan and pork and shrimp baos and the vegan one was actually my favorite out of all of them. Beware.. when they say spicy.. it is SPICY! We were thinking chili oil or some type of seasoning was used to make it spicy, but NO! It is chopped up red chili peppers into tiny pieces and added into the xiaolongbaos! OMG it was spicy but dipping in the vinaigrette soy sauce actually gave it a good balance. Waitress was very nice and spoke English. The decor of the restaurant was really cute! I can't give it full five star since we didn't try much off the menu.

Yelp
Great Xiaolongbao at this hidden gem. We stumbled across it and had to try as we had been craving for a while. Not dissapointed! The dough is perfect consistency and the soup filling is full of flavor.
