Thanks to the hotel’s location on a mountain (Sant Salvador, 510m), there are no surrounding buildings, just pure tranquility. There is only a small outdoor area without a pool, which we didn’t see as a must. However, a few loungers on the terrace would have been nice for relaxing outdoors during the day. The adventurous, steep drive with winding roads adds a unique touch to the experience - however, if you’re planning daily excursions, having a car is recommended. Although it is also an absolutely fantastic and challenging climb for the ambitious cyclist.

The place has a privileged location, with beautiful views, but apart from that there is nothing positive. We had the most horrible treatment we ever encountered in a hotel... The people who work there are rude, poorly trained and ill-mannered. There is no one at the reception and the waitresses check us in with paper and pen, when we asked anything they responded with terrible and unprofessional treatment. What would have been a great getaway turned into a nightmare having to stay almost forced, since we had already paid. I recommend staying far away from a place like this. Maybe it is a good option for a horror movie….

We were attracted by the idea of it being a sacred and historic place, with stunning views and in fact it has nice views and the building has beautiful architecture, but the experience at the hotel was absolutely horrible! |When arriving there was nobody at the reception, check-in is done at the cafeteria by very unpleasant waitresses, they write everything down on sheets of paper and pen, they make confusions with the information and are extremely rude, they are unable to apologize for their infinite mistakes… But bad got worse, when I tried to speak with the “manager” of the coffee shop, I was informed that in that place “the employee is always right, not the customer”... She was also very unpleasant and that was the worse experience ever in a hotel!!! |Really, that is a place that doesn't understand anything about hospitality and has zero professionalism.

No airconditioning while it clearly states airconditioning in every room. Well, not in ours and I do believe I paid for it. Also the other guests don't pay attention when opening or closing doors and the draft just slams the doors. You can hear everything.

Such a stunning view! We stayed two nights and loved it! Rooms are fairly basic but perfectly clean and everything you need. So nice to not have a TV in the room, to have a separate living room and windows that open fully so you can see the Moon over the sea. Take care on the fairly narrow roads up the mountain! Gorgeous 😍

Great location, totally unbeatable views. Rooms basic but clean and priced correctly. Drivers need to be prepared for winding mountain roads but it's totally worth it. What lets this place down so badly is the food and staff service. A friend and I stayed here on our first night in Mallorca and didn't want to go elsewhere for a meal and I have to say what we were served was completely inedible. The patatas bravas tasted like they had just come out of a freezer and weren't properly cooked. The sauce on top was unidentifiable. We didn't think a plate of cheese could go wrong but it seemed to just be a mountain of Dutch cheeses (in Spain!) without bread. The staff seemed totally indifferent to the fact that we returned uneaten food. It's such a shame because this place could be such a destination restaurant that complements the phenomenal location. The saving grace is that there is a coffee machine so at least your morning coffee here won't ruin your day! I'm sorry to leave such a negative review, but this really impacted our enjoyment of our stay and I would caution any traveller against eating here. The hotel to stay in is just fine, and exactly what you'd expect for the price.

We went for one night in this unique place and you must read about the history of the abbey. We looked out at the hills in the distance with the abbey every day. Often covered with clouds where most of the island was cloudless. The drive up a winding road to a hill over 500m high, where clouds limit visibility with every minute, is unforgettable. Upstairs in thick fog, the atmosphere was amazing...like in Bram Stoker's Dracula movie. Cleanliness and great location of the rooms and the atmosphere of the architecture of sacred buildings. It was worth it!

We stayed for one night. Breathtaking views. The drive is insane, our designated driver literally cried when we got to the top! 😂 ||Pros : friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms, location. Location is unreal. ||Cons : as many other reviewers have said, the food is bad. It’s canteen food, for €20. They know you’re kinda stuck there, at the top of a mountain so you have no choice where to eat unless you want to do the insane drive in the dark! So they can cook rubbish and charge whatever they want. ||Overall: I’d recommend this for one night. Even though the food was insanely bad, the views are an absolute do not miss. They are beyond beautiful. You can see baby mountain goats sunbathing and running around. We had a lightning storm the night we stayed, could see the forks hitting the ocean from where we sat drinking our wine. The monastery itself is stunning. So yeah, make the trip for one night for the experience but if you’re staying longer, you’re going to have to get used to driving up and down the mountain, possibly in the dark which I seriously would not recommend, in order to eat. ||My 5 stars is because it’s the most beautiful location ever. Makes up for everything else, if it’s a very short trip.
