The hotel is perfectly located near a lot of the shops, eateries, and attractions. Various places are within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel as the bed was amazing and the bathroom was nicely done. There was some mold in the shower but besides that everything else was nice. The breakfast was spectacular. It was a great way to start our morning of exploring.

Our stay was incredible. John made sure to give us local tips—he was friendly and treated us like family. Mary from the restaurant was also amazing; she went above and beyond to make us feel special. A wonderful historic hotel perfectly located in the heart of Madrid. Ideal for those who love to explore the city on foot and truly experience its vibrant atmosphere—you’re right in the middle of everything. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, a king-size bed, and three beautiful balconies overlooking the city. The overall experience was excellent. Looking forward to returning!

Met by Jorge on reception who was very friendly and helpful and soon had us checked in and into our room, luckily early as well as we only went to drop our bags. The room was spacious enough, WiFi was good, breakfast good, a safe , mini fridge and all the usual amenities in the room that you would expect. The location of the hotel is excellent , close to good restaurants , shops and transport links, absolutely perfect for us. We stayed in 308 which over looked the entrance to place de mayor, and was above the entrance to the hotel. Would definitely return to this hotel’s n the future. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly

The location was absolutely amazing — right in the city center, which made it very convenient. However, the hotel itself felt quite old. Some parts have clearly been renovated, but it still shows its age. There were no major issues with cleanliness, but overall it didn’t quite live up to the price. I understand the higher rate due to the central location, but still, it felt a bit expensive for what it offered. Breakfast wasn’t particularly impressive. I wouldn’t say I was unhappy with my stay, but I’m not sure I’d choose this hotel again at the same price.

Petit Palace Posada del Peine . This hotel is right in the centre of it all giving you a wonderful experience .With easy access to many places to visit , places to eat and drink . The reception staff are very helpful everything we needed or asked for was never too much trouble. The breakfast was of a high standard lots to select from . Lizbet supplied one of our party with a Gluten free selection every morning. The room was of a good size , very comfortable beds . Air conditioning made our stay very comfortable as temperature was high during our visit . The bathroom was a good size a few tiles needed attention ( cracked ), The shower was very refreshing with good pressure.||||we had a wonderful stay . Thank you to all the lovely staff .

PRIME location, we stayed here 4 nights and only had to take an uber once. Very friendly staff, especially Jorge! Was also kind enough to do picnic breakfast for my entire family of 11 the day we checked out super early. One of the better breakfasts out of the 5 hotels we stayed at while touring Spain. Very comfortable beds and AC worked well in most rooms (I will mention the two story room the AC did not work as well on the upper level floor). Would definitely stay here again if I am fortunate enough to get back to Madrid.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, including the kitchen team. The Wi-Fi worked well, and the location was absolutely fantastic! It was truly an honor to stay in the oldest hotel in Madrid.

Great location and excellent staff who want to make your stay great! The location is excellent. Close to everything and right in the center of Madrid. The room was gorgeous! We had terraces overlooking the cute street below. Loved the oversized walk in shower. But the best part was the helpful staff at the front desk. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner and entertainment in the area and not just for places that she was booking for us. Genuinely helpful, knowledgable and very pleasant. We had a wonderful, romantic stay at this top notch place. Enjoy!

We looked at reviews on Booking.com and chose to stay here for a few nights at the end of our trip based on these reviews. Our room was on the second floor but felt like the basement. It was dark, musty smelling, had torn wallpaper everywhere, mold in the bathroom and was not worth the cost we paid (over $200.00 per night for a standard room). The breakfast that people raved about in the reviews consisted of watery eggs, fatty ham, fried rice from the freezer and hard pastries. The coffee was from a machine that you had to stand in line to make yourself and with a room full of guests it was difficult to keep running smoothly. The staff was nice enough but when asked to move to another room we were told they were booked up and didn't see a room opening up any of the 4 days we stayed there. The location was good, although noisy but that's to be expected in the center of it all. We cannot recommend staying here until they renovate and make it worth the cost.

I give 5 stars to the staff specially Lara and Joanna, this 2 girls go above and beyond of professionalism! Cleanliness excellent, location incredible everything incredible, pet friendly the only bad thing is the breakfast and the service there, I came with my dogs and asked in a really bad manner to leave my dogs in the room, is incredible being a pet friendly that they asked me that!!! I found near the hotel a told of places where they let you take breakfast or dinner inside with your dogs, please go to the crepes in the back of the hotel or Rollo Ocho to dinner there, just delicious this two places and accept dogs inside!

A little Gem right in the center of town, Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol. Sandra at the reception was wonderful , very helpful and pleasant. The other two gentleman at the reception were very helpful too. Our room was ready upon arrival at 11.30 am, that was indeed a nice surprise. The room was a bit small, even though we were on the first floor, we did not hear any street noise! They offer free bikes, a nice gesture! The most wonderful shower to be had.

Not worth the money. Great location but hotel staff and room maintenance show no pride in their trade. Lights were burnt out, air condition was broken. Free coffee service in the lobby was was out of order for 3 days without and alternative offered. Rooms are not made up after 3.30 because they don't have staff? The decor reflects nothing out of it's history not does it match the location. Too sad.

Very Inflexible I have been planning a Spain trip and accidentally booked two rooms for the same night. My husband noticed when I showed him the plans that the 2 hotels have similar names. (I wish I could say I never make mistakes in the online booking process but that isn't true.) I reached out to the hotel in April to request a cancellation and an exception to their policy for a room booked for June. I was hoping that they would understand that we all make mistakes and knowing that there is plenty of time during the high season. But they have been 100% inflexible. I am paying $138 for a hotel room that I can't use and has now totally soured me on this hotel. Perhaps there is a homeless group that could use the room for the night?

Reasonably priced hotel in an excellent location in relation to all attractions and transport infrastructure. Modern rooms with internet access in all which is free. I did not eat here. Found the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Recommended for couples

This hotel was excellent. Do a great typical spanish Breakfast, and have a coffee machine which makes the best lattes ever! the room was gorgeous, and the shower IS AMAZING! really fab showers, probably the best shower in the world. You had a laptop in the room, with net and a large TV with all the spanish channels. Beautiful place to stay, with a very comfy bed! :)
