"A very small, sparsely populated island of under 600 acres with about 900 residents, offering tranquil, off-the-beaten-path experiences such as climbing Piton for sweeping views across the Grenadines and enjoying water sports at Sanchez Beach; access is by boat from Carriacou." - Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila Carley Rojas Avila is a bilingual travel writer, editor, and content marketer. Majority of the year the island is peacefully quiet but during the few festivities people can come out and come over from neighbouring islands to have a great time. If you like music, people and food then Whitsuntide, Maroon and Christmas will be the best times to visit. The small island by it's name "petite" can be your spot for a half day hike or run. You'll be able to complete an entire on foot tour of the island in less than half a day. There are a few mobile transports on land if you wish to do so. Plan your next vacation, visit Carriacou and of course Petite Martinique. Only ferry to get to the island but plane option available from Grenada to Carriacou.
