Petra Marriott Hotel

We stayed here in January and had a fantastic experience. While the hotel is undergoing expansion, it didn't impact the quality of our stay at all. Here are the highlights: Service & Hospitality: From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming. The hospitality here is genuine; the team is friendly, professional, and goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Location & Accessibility: It’s a perfect base for exploring the Rose City. It is only a 5-minute drive to the Petra main gate. Pro-Tip: Take advantage of their free shuttle service that drops you off in the morning and picks you up in the afternoon. It's seamless and saves the hassle of parking or getting a taxi. The Views: If you can, request a room facing the mountains. The views are absolutely breathtaking and easily one of the best features of the property. Dining: We were thoroughly impressed by the onsite restaurant. The food quality is excellent, making it a very convenient (and delicious) option after a long day of hiking. Room Quality & Value: The rooms do feel a bit dated, but they are clean, comfortable, and represent great value for the price point.

We had a great stay with my family at this beautiful property, that is very well located far enough from the town noise, yet well connected by a complimentary shuttle bus. Views are breathtaking, rooms are excellent, but what made a difference was authentic hospitality that we felt in every interaction with the hotel team. Every single person whom we had a pleasure to contact with, made us feel very welcome, with warmth and heartfelt hospitality. The food at the restaurant was also excellent, the best meal we had in Jordan! Food was also delicious, and recommendations helped us to discover local gastronomic culture. Having breakfast with those views is a separate experience to bring home more beautiful memories. This hotel is an excellent place to stay in Petra.

We stayed for one night at the Petra Marriott Hotel to visit Petra and arrived a bit earlier than planned, around 12:00 noon. We had booked a premium room with a nice view.||At check-in, the reception staff were friendly, but there was some confusion about our room situation. Without clearly explaining it to us, we were first given a standard room as a temporary solution while our actual premium room was still being prepared. The bellboy who brought our luggage and escorted us to the room did not mention that this was only a temporary room either ( he did not know it ) , so both my wife and I initially thought this was our final room category.||When we later returned to the front desk to clarify the situation, the misunderstanding was resolved quickly, and after another 30 minutes our real premium room was ready. For that, we are thankful.||The premium room itself was quiet and cozy, and we slept very well. We had a beautiful view over the Petra valley and the mountains, and we could also see the pool, even though the room window was rather small. The hotel is located on a hill, and the Petra Ticket Office / Visitor Center is only a short taxi ride away, usually around 5–10 JOD depending on the season. Since we were out all day exploring Petra and left early the next morning around 8 a.m., our overall stay at the hotel was quite short.||After returning from Petra in our “adventurer” outfits, we had dinner in the restaurant near the bar. To be completely honest, we felt a bit uncomfortable with some of the staff there, as we occasionally received long, direct, and somewhat strange looks. It didn’t feel very welcoming, even though the food itself was okay.||The next morning, check-out went smoothly. Both the security guard and the receptionist were very friendly and professional. We also realized that we were missing an item, and the receptionist and the staff we spoke to were very kind and supportive in trying to help us.||Overall, the room and the view were great, and the front desk and security staff left a positive impression, but the communication at check-in and the atmosphere in the restaurant could be improved to make all guests feel more comfortable. But I can recommend the hotel for a stay in Petra after all.

What a wonderful experience. Mr. Farajat and his team, especially and foremost Mr. Musa do a wonderful job to make their guests feel at home or even better, don't want to leave to go home ! The hotel is a bit outside of Wadi Musa but has a frequent shuttle to Petra. The big upside of this situation is that is wonderful quiet. The rooms were spacious and clean, maybe a bit dated (eg no USB outlets) but in great shape. The mountain view towards Petra was amazing, especially in the evening as the sun went down. |Breakfast consists of western and local cuisine, I liked the fact that many dishes had a little explanation. Everything I tasted was very good. |Overall, I would come back any time, especially as I have never felt so welcome and been treated warm-hearted as here. ||At the moment the pool is closed (no problem, it's too cold anyways) and the hotel is being extended. From the pictures shown - I am very sure it will be even nicer.

Our stay at the Marriott Petra was truly memorable. The level of hospitality was unreal — it didn’t feel like standard hotel service, but more like being welcomed into someone’s own home and city. Every interaction felt warm, genuine, and thoughtful.||The hotel itself is beautiful, perfectly positioned on a mountaintop with breathtaking views. It has a very cozy, peaceful vibe that makes you instantly relax and enjoy the surroundings.||A special thank you to Mr. Ahmed at the reception, who was exceptional. He was incredibly helpful, understanding, and attentive to all our requests, and supported us throughout our stay with great care and professionalism. His attitude truly elevated the entire experience.||Highly recommended for anyone visiting Petra.

The hotel’s amenities—from the relaxing lounge areas to the well-maintained wellness facilities—were all top-notch. Dining at the Petra Marriott was another highlight. The food was consistently delicious, and the service was impeccable. Whether enjoying a leisurely dinner or a quick breakfast, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff made every meal feel special. Overall, the Petra Marriott combines comfort, elegance, and true Jordanian hospitality. We left feeling appreciated, pampered, and eager to return. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Petra who wants an elevated and unforgettable stay.

The least nice Marriot I have stayed in. Turkish baths are a fun addition. Shuttle bus to Petra is handy. The hotel is a building site at the moment so the views aren’t very good. Would go for the Movenpick if it’s not too much more money. Shout out to the guy making sand art in the foyer his work was amazing and he was very friendly

We have decided to stay in Marriott Petra for 2 nights for the New Year's Eve. We did join the gala dinner and the show after. Everybody made us feel like home, the staff and the management are amazing. The food is at very good quality.The hotel is 10 min drive from entrance to Petra.Highly recomended.We already think to come back.Thank you Marriott hotel for having us!
