Oqba is an outstanding guide and an absolute pleasure to travel with. He is an excellent driver, photographer, videographer, guide, and interpreter—reliable, honest, and always on time (or early). His local knowledge saved me money on hotels while improving quality and location, and his recommendations for restaurants and traditional Jordanian meals were excellent. He went out of his way to help with everything—from finding an effective remedy for a persistent cough at a local pharmacy, to sharing knowledge of herbal teas, to creating great photos and videos along the journey. Oqba also provided an excellent Jeep tour guide in Wadi Rum and handled countless small but important details effortlessly, always looking out for my best interests. I was privileged to visit Jordan in 1988 and 1989. I wish I had returned earlier to introduce my wife and family to the wonderful country and its hospitable people. We were very fortunate to find Petra Nights to help us build a customized itinerary that enabled us to visit Amman, Petra, and Wadi Rum, (which I explored 37 years ago) but also to see new places such as Umm Qais, Azraq, and Dana. For the 2-weeks trip Mohammed Al Najjar was appointed our guide, and our driver was Mustafa Orabi. We could not have had more wonderful people to spend time with. Mohammed was brilliant in introducing Jordan's history and culture: his depth of knowledge is stunning. And the stylishly dressed Mustaffa drove us around safely, and supplemented Mohammed's guiding with some great food recommendations. We also had a number of other guides in Dana (Ameen), Wadi Rum (Yahea), and Azraq (Hussein) and all were terrific and all were perfectly punctual, so we optimized the short December days. We chose a private guide and driver for our trip to Jordan, and it was absolutely the right decision. We traveled to Jordan as a family of three from Japan, and having a private guide and driver made the experience smooth and comfortable from start to finish. If we had tried to travel on our own, I believe we would have been able to visit only about one third of the places we actually saw. From deciding where to go, to knowing exactly where to buy entrance tickets, to choosing the right places for meals, everything was perfectly arranged for us. Because of this, we experienced almost no stress at all during the entire trip, and that peace of mind alone was well worth the cost of the tour. Our guide, Jamal, was exceptional. His knowledge was incredibly deep, and no matter what we asked, he always had a clear and thoughtful answer. What made his guidance especially valuable was that he did not only explain historical backgrounds at archaeological sites, but also shared insights into modern Jordanian culture, current social issues, and everyday life. This combination helped us truly understand the country, not just see it. I honestly felt that spending one week touring with Jamal gave us more knowledge than reading an entire book. Our driver, Fadi, also deserves special recognition. He drove us safely through rain and even heavy fog, always calm and professional, which made us feel completely secure. Beyond his excellent driving skills, Fadi had a wonderful sense of humor and a genuine desire to make the journey enjoyable. His positive attitude and warm personality made even long drives pleasant and memorable. I would highly recommend this tour to people who may have concerns or preconceived ideas about the Middle East, to those who want to truly understand history and culture, and especially to families traveling with children who want a meaningful and educational experience. Overall, this tour offered far more value than its price, and I can confidently say it was a truly enriching and unforgettable experience.

We had an amazing time with Petra Night Tours. The private 5 days 4 nights tour was well planned and well organized. But our guide Tayseer was the star. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He constantly made sure we were having fun and were comfortable. He paced the trip well and was a safe driver. He was personable, funny and kind. Made a huge difference to our trip.
