In a country that prides itself on its hospitality, Petra Palace treated me like a stupid tourist who is only good enough for her wallet. I am deeply offended.||My standard for mid-range hotels is not high. I'm not surprised when the towel rack is loose, the shower only has one temperature or the breakfast is not what you are used to at home. But I do expect to be treated fairly. That didn't happen here.|I traveled in a group and stayed at this hotel for three nights. When the bus, with all the suitcases already in it, was ready and we were about to leave, the manager informed the tour guide that we had soiled a towel so badly that it had to be reimbursed. Nonsense! At home, I could have cleaned this towel in my washing machine easily. Besides, who says this towel came from my hotel room? And finally, above all: if you think that I have behaved so filthy as a hotel guest, please report this to me immediately and directly.||In addition, this hotel had|no right to speak in terms of quality. A selection: the toilet seat was loose and the toilet only flushed moderately. The futuristic shower cabin was largely calcified, so that only 1 of the functions worked properly. The electrical connection of this cabin looked improper and risky. The sound volume of the air conditioning was particularly high. The stopper of the bidet could not be operated and was, when finally closed, leaking. The sink tap was completely loose. In all other hotels drinking water was available for guests, but not here. Several guests fell through the loungers by the pool because they broke. Towels were missing at the pool.||The accusation against us was completely unjustified. Unfortunately, my husband paid the 10 dinars demanded (expensive second-hand towel!) to avoid the argument because we were about to leave. The feeling I get from it all, is that this hotel has found a new revenue model. Bah.

Location of this hotel is amazing (5 minute walk to Petra entrance). Rooms are basic but does the job. Pool was freezing in October as expected but is in the shade. Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Wifi worked fine and breakfast was good variety. Bar connected to the hotel is good

We spent one night at Petra Palace. We were welcomed warmly and our room was large and comfortable, if a little dated. Everything was clean and worked well. The breakfast buffet was extensive and very high quality. One of the best we had in Jordan.

Very disappointed and expensive. The hotel is really tired and in disrepair. To add insult to this they still charge a premium rate. ||The staff at the best are complacent and rude. So many negatives to this place.||We booked mainly for the pool as we thought it would be nice after long hot days. We only used it once. It was really awful, all the tiles around the edge are broken and need replacing. It all felt old and dirty. There aren’t enough sun beds so people sat on upright plastic chairs or lay in the floor. Plus, the whole pool are is in the shadow of the hotel and didn’t get any sun at all, so pool remained really cold. ||Location is good for Petra but you can find better.

After reading the many reviews, we were well prepared with tissues, bathroom slippers and our own toiletries. Unfortunately the rooms were really quite tired looking, with threadbare yellow sheets. The air conditioning was not working too well, and we often woke up sweating as it was too hot. Food was average, with only limited amounts of hot food and staff appeared grumpy. Location is otherwise fantastic, being only 5 mins from Petra.

The bedspread was so old and ripped in 3 places. TOILET seat was too small and would think it was going to fall on in the toilet no matter how careful you were. No Amenities. Black stain on one curtain. Top of the toilet was busted and had to be extremely careful to flush it. No tissues. No wash clothes. Hardest bed I've ever been on. Pitiful.

misinformation, the website says they have 2 pools, one of which heated. They are both cold. The food is mediocre and drinks and water are not even included. The triple room we had had one usable outlet. Bathroom has no ventilation.

Perfect location to start your visit to Petra. We had a nice decent room, outdated, but clean. Only when closing the door, sometimes it didn’t close automatically, so check when you leave. Service at breakfast….not. They only ask your room number and that’s it. I was waiting at the desk for eggs, they all looked at me and walked away. When started to prepare an egg myself someone was coming. Service at the bar at night was good, friendly.
