Hotel Petrohue, Petrohue, Lake District, Chile - Explore & Book

"Situated between the towering outline of the Osorno volcano and a blue-green slice of Lago Todos Los Santos (fed by glacial rivers and waterfalls), the setting alone is enough to draw people to this hotel. Deep in Chile’s oldest national park, Vincente Perez Rosales, the drive over volcanic overspill and alongside the tumbling turquoise waters of the Petrohue river leads to a clearing in virgin forest by the lakeshore, wherein stands the 20-room Hotel Petrohue and 4 lakeside cabins. After a fire in 2002 the hotel was completely rebuilt in wood and stone, and now resembles a large Alpine chalet. Simple but comfortable interiors continue the theme, with a warm combination of pale wood, open fires and fine views of the lake, mountains and forest offering a taste of what lies beyond. And once inspired (it won’t take long), simply step outside amongst this serene natural setting and into the hotel’s Expediciones centre, from where, with everything from climbing to canyoning, the adventure really begins. Highs The setting, even when it rains, is truly spectacular Hiding away in your own wooden cabinCanyoning down beside a rushing waterfall, high on adrenaline as the spray coats you, to finally make it back down to earth and dive into the pool below Fly-fishing in crystal-clear azure rivers on the south side of the lake - one of my most memorable experiences in 20 years of travelling At the end of an exhilarating day, taking a dip in the indoor/outdoor swimming pool and curling up by the crackling fire Lows Rain showers are a regular feature for most of the year; sun-seekers should go during the summer months (December-March) In December and January watch out for large horse flies, known as Tabanos, and throngs of tourists making the lake crossing on their way to Bariloche, Argentina" - Elizabeth Delliere

We had an exceľent lunch at Petrohue Lodge that helped us to forget the rainy weather outside. The three-course menu is a great value for money, lactonesa with sesame served along with bread as amuse bouche is a sort of addictive, never had it before.

We went for lunch and it was amazing. I would highly recommend the restaurant and the lodge for vacation and park stay.

Stayed for a couple of nights in early December. We had the room at the front with huge picture windows which gave us a great view of the surrounding mountains and lake. Sadly, it was cloudy for our stay so we didn't get a good view of the volcano. Still we had a fantastic time in this great hotel and the staff were really friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. We strongly recommend a stop here if you're in this beautiful party of Chile,A real highlight of our tour.

We did not stay in the lodge. We rented an Air B n B that is attached to their property. My personal opinion is that it was mis marketed. It advertised as being a "disconnect" from city life. The entrance was confusing. It was a hotbed of tourism there. The driveway to the house was gated off, but not entirely the privacy we were looking for. We did dine at the lodge. The service was attentive and friendly. Pleasant menu choices, however, all of our beef was overcooked, asking for medium rates temperatures. Good wine selection. Nearby activities offered. Big beach, beautiful lake and surroundings.

I stayed here as part of a tour and it was perfect! It is a great place to go to get away from all the hustle and bustle. There is hiking and kayaking and rafting nearby. Boat tours just a short step away from the lodge.||||The room are simple and clean. You want to hang out in the lounge, as that is where the view is! The food was amazing!! The staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend booking the hot tubs! It is an experience you won't forget!

This place was great! It was off season so it was very quiet. There is a great hike nearby - it's a little tricky to find the starting point so try using All Trails before leaving the lodge (go down the beach to find it). We reserved a tinaja (wood fire-heated hot tub) for after dinner. Kenny was incredible - I felt like we had our own personal concierge! The common area with fireplace is stylish and comfy for reading/relaxing after a day of visiting the nearby waterfalls and hiking.

Exceptional service from the moment our family and friends arrived at the Lodge until we all departed three days later. The Lodge was very clean and comfortable from the common area on the first floor to the small chapel out back and all the gardens between nothing was out of place. The food was delicious and the service was great as they were able to accommodate everyones needs in all languages. || The rooms were cozy and spacious with each having something special in the view both relaxing and distinct from each window with mountains, volcanos, the lake and the beautiful forests of the surrounding ridges. The honeymoon suite was open and inviting with a large bed, private deck, fireplace, whirlpool and all the other touches to make it feel like we never needed to leave. || Our group was very loud at times due to all the excitement of the weekends events but the rooms were well insulated from the outside sounds and the commotion in the halls. ||Many many thanks to the entire staff and especially to Christina for making the experience so fantastic!!!

Perfectly located close to the lake with direct access to the Harbor and boat tours. We loved it even though WiFi was weak and breakfast choice could be improved. Nice service and staff.
