Petronilla - Hotel

From the moment I arrived, I knew I had chosen the right place for my first visit to Bergamo . I was welcomed by Francesca, whose warmth and professionalism were exceptional— Throughout my three-night stay all of the staff was incredibly attentive, and went above and beyond to make every moment of the stay perfect. I am a solo female traveler, and I felt completely safe and pampered. I was given excellent recommendations on shopping, dining, and general advice on logistics. All of it contributed to the notion that this is a place where the guest experience is at the core.||The hotel itself has a feeling of secluded and intimate sophistication, with thoughtful details at every turn. In the rooms (all with a different look and set-up, so choose accordingly) are outfitted with top-quality toiletries and delicious Culti fragrance, Frette linens, and plush robes that help elevate the entire experience. What a nice touch to have two bottles of water and a complimentary mini panettone in the room, a small but memorable gesture...such as many others that imprinted a delightful memory, such as the candles for the sauna session. ||Definitely, one of the highlights was the private wellness area. There is an infrared sauna and jacuzzi, impeccably designed for complete relaxation. I only used the fantastic sauna, and the experience felt very indulgent and serene. ||The breakfast offering is perfect. It provided a wide variety of high-quality options, some of which are made from scratch in-house. The dining area is small and accommodates a discrete number of guests (the property has only 12 rooms), so breakfast translated into a special and peaceful moment to start the day. ||For those who seek quality vs. flashiness, this hotel is a true gem as it is curated in every aspect without going overboard. At Petronilla, I found a place where comfort, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality come hand-in-hand. If the road takes me back to Bergamo, I would return to this hotel without hesitation. Thank you particularly to Francesco, such a friendly face every morning (and who patiently and expertly helped map my day), and the rest of the small staff, for making this first visit to Bergamo such a memorable and wonderful experience!

It doesn't get much better than Petronilla. It is design minded hotel, that is spotless with good amenities - but the staff are the crown jewels that make it so special. Rebecca and Francesco took such good care of us with tonnes of warmth and professionalism. I was so impressed, it was the perfect night's stay. I wish we had more time but we would come back to Bergamo just to stay there again ❤️ grazie mille!

We have just returned from an amazing four night stay in Bergamo. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the upper and lower town and for access to the bus and train station. Our room was very comfortable and contained everything we needed for our short stay.|Francesco and Rebecca were incredibly professional and very knowledgeable about the area, helping us to plan trips into Milan and to Lake Iseo and offered tips and recommendations about where to eat.|All of the staff were incredibly warm and generous and really helped to make this a wonderful short break.

The hotel is on a side street not far from a shopping street. The check in was ok. The man very chirpy and chatty. Our room was small like an attic room. Furnishings basic. I expected a little more given the rate we paid. Breakfast was fine. Scrambled eggs were good. The same person was at the desk when we were checking out. This time he was quite curt. Dismissive .Never asked how we found our stay. It was amazing to see someone act completely out of character to how he was when we were checking in. It was so noticeable! Definitely would not stay there again based on his disregulated persona.

We found a gem in Bergamo and you won't want to miss it! The service is first rate and the rooms, lobby and breakfast area are lovely, cozy and wonderfully designed.. clean as a whistle too. The very best of luxury at an affordable price!

Stayed 3 nights at Petronilla in Bergamo and it was an amazing stay. The room, the location, the breakfast, the staff - basically everything - was fantastic. A special thanks to Rebecca at the front desk in the evening. She was amazing to recommend restaurants, sandwich shops, sightseeing locations and so on. I highly recommend staying here.

This was one of our favourite stays in a long time. The hotel itself is lovely, with a nice design, big rooms and a good location. However, what makes it outstanding is the service. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. We stayed with our baby and made us feel at home. Cannot thank them enough for their help and assitance. Also, the breakfast was fantastic. :)

Good location, seamlessly smooth, efficient, friendly and helpful staff, pleasant room and sensational breakfast (delicious cakes and presentation of cooked to order eggs was top restaurant quality). This is how all boutique hotels should be - but so few ever are. Thoroughly recommend

This is one of my top 5 hotel experiences ever. Such an unexpected delight with everything from the attention to beautiful design details to the delicious breakfast to being thoughtful and accommodating with our toddler. What a gem!
