The Ultimate Guide to the World's Food Museums

"Wandering around the enormous PEZ Visitor Center is like falling into a world overrun by the small, sugary bricks and their charismatic dispensers. The roughly 4,000-square-foot space is stuffed with anything and everything related to the classic candy. Thousands of PEZ dispensers stand on public display, so you can scour the collection to look for familiar characters and more unusual novelty ones. A scavenger hunt rewards keen-eyed visitors with a PEZ-themed prize. While wandering around, you can spot a PEZ-themed motorcycle, the world’s largest PEZ dispenser, and vintage posters and trinkets that act like a timeline of PEZ history and evolution. The collection also offers more than a visual feast. You can indulge your taste buds and sample the many different candy flavors, including the original peppermint (the company’s name derives from the word “pfefferminzm,” the German word for “peppermint”). The admission ticket includes a credit toward gift shop purchases and a nifty little PEZ lanyard. You can’t actually tour the manufacturing facility, but you can peep through the visitor center windows to catch a glimpse of the candy making in action." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

Visited the PEZ museum on a weekend trip to Orange, CT. I had a no clue what PEZ was, but my daughter seemed to know about it. We spent a couple of hours there and it was totally worth it. They have a nice scavenger hunt that is quite fun and have PEZ’ for almost all characters you see on tv. The fee to enter is 5 buck for an adult and 3 for a child. Must visit!

Google
I randomly stumbled upon this when looking for things to do along my New England roadtrip. It's only $5 per person to enter and they gave me a $4 coupon to use toward any purchase in the store. You can walk around at your own leisure or play the bingo game and earn a prize at the end. The direct view into the factory side was very cool. This is a great stop for adults and kids alike.

Charles Stephens

Google
Wife and I are following a CT adventure bucketlist suggestion from a card we scratched off. This was our 1st bucket list to fulfill. It was cool. I knew this factory was in CT, but I just never made it there. I'm glad I did. Very nostalgic and interesting place. Brings you back to your childhood. Great place for adults and children.

Chenoa Cavanaugh-Burg

Google
Roadside destinations that was a lot of fun! If you have time to stop, check it out. History of PEZ and dispensers you can only get there. I remembered many as a child and some I never knew were made.

Arthur Glauberman

Google
Whike you might think that the PEZ Visitor Center is for children, there’s a great deal of historical facts that might be more suitable for baby boomers who grew up with PEZ dispensers. The fact is the PEZ Visitor Center’s perfect for people of all ages!

Jim Love

Google
Tickets for two were $10 but got $4 back in purchase discount. It was a quick and fun walk back through time through the PEZ lens. And yep we bought a bunch of stuff at good prices. Hope our three year old granddaughter enjoys.

Google
Great experience here, quick self guided tour and tons of pez items to be purchased! Had a scavenger hunt and got a free pez with admission as well. Kiddos had fun and that's what matters

vaia

Google
Came here for a valentine’s day date, and had such a great time! The place is so colorful and they have every PEZ you can think of. They give a voucher when you buy the tickets for a discount from the gift store which I thought was nice :) Fun activities for everyone and you can even take a look at the factory where they make the stuff.

Yelp
This was the perfect stop on our way through CT. If you have an hour to spare, do yourself a favor & stop here. Admissions is only $5 for adults, $4 for children 3-12, I believe, and free for under 3. Admission comes with a free lanyard & $2 merch credit. My PEZ obsessed toddler loved seeing all the PEZ dispensers and had fun taking pictures. She was so excited! There's also a scavenger hunt you can complete - 1 per person per visit. If you complete it correctly, you get to spin a wheel for a free PEZ dispenser. They were kinda ugly but they were free! The merch store was very decently priced and we left satisfied with all our purchases only having spent a total of maybe $30. They have sour flavors! A must try. I hope they switch up the prize wheel & scavenger hunt items. If so, we'll be back!
google avatar

Terri C.

Yelp
With the ridiculous inflation we are experiencing these days ,$5 adult admission is a 1980s pricing so I hope there are no complaints. Don't care who you are or what shortcomings anyone has to say about this place. For goodness sake, what can $5 really get you today? Well for sure this museum charges that much and out of $5, the $2 goes to gift shopping What! Then at the end we get a prize worth $2.49 with 1 pez per person. Even I am not good at math, but that kind of shows that you made more than the actual admissions itself. Plus you get to see the ins of the factory!!!! The evolution of the product is amazing with historical displays The cutest was the japanese version!!!!! look at pic.

Yelp
We stayed at a hotel down the street and saw the Pez on the street sign and immediately had to look into it. We had most of the day to kill before a wedding and went to check it out. It was so much fun! I was a little salty because others in my party kept finding the scavenger hunt items despite my best attempt to split up and find one. There were other little challenges sprinkled along the way. We spent more time than I could have imagined and it brought back lots of childhood memories. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
Great for kids and adults, and really a must-see! We came on a Friday and spent an hour here going through the displays, watching the factory in operation, and completing the scavenger hunt. Adult admission is $5 and includes a free lanyard, $2 store credit, and an opportunity to win a free Pez dispenser if you complete the scavenger hunt (chosen by spinning a wheel!). I found the history of Pez to be really interesting and I especially enjoyed seeing the antique Pez dispensers and those from around the world. The collection is extensive and there's several interactive displays. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
The Pez Visitor Center was a fun place to visit and includes all kinds of unique collections of Pez dispensers and Pez memorabilia. Additionally, it appears that there is a production related distribution/fulfillment unit towards the back of the center where employees are getting product out to customers, kind of interesting to see. Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in the area and are interested in Pez and Pez related products. Cheers!

Yelp
Very cool and unique spot in CT! Admission is only $5 for adults (and $4 for children 3-12 years), so you really can't go wrong. You also get a free PEZ lanyard and a $2.00 coupon for anything you buy from the gift shop (must be used on the same day). Inside you'll see the world's largest PEZ dispenser, learn the history of PEZ candy, and can check out all the different PEZ dispensers that were made throughout history. There are trivia questions and interactives along the way. On the first floor, along with the PEZ dispensers from throughout history, is the gift shop (with many different PEZ dispensers for sale), a self-serve PEZ station (which has cups you can fill with PEZ of all different flavors), and a giant PEZ base which you can put your head on top of and make yourself into a life-sized PEZ dispenser. You'll also be able to view the PEZ factory floor (where they produce the actual candy) through glass. Upstairs you'll find more PEZ memorabilia, a seating area (which I believe can be rented out for parties), and even a custom PEZ chopper created by Orange County Choppers. Overall a great spot to bring kids and spend an hour or two!

Yelp
If you are a PEZ fan do stop by for 30-60 min if you are not the neighbor. Well worth the trip We were just going for supplies are a local Home Depot and we hop off I-95 and notice the sign for PEZ. We curious and did covered a well keep secret we never noticed until now. Fun place to stop and only $5 to admissions and do play the game "Find all the Elf's" for a free PEZ gift. The place is right off the highway and plenty of parking.

Yelp
Pez is such a nostalgic item for me so when I saw the visitor center, I knew I had to go. It's $5 for a self-guided tour and it comes with a $2 credit you can use in the store. It's located in the industrial side of town. When you walk in the have a wall with the history of Pez which you can go through at your own pace. They had various trivia games around to keep little ones entertained. On display, they have iconic dispensers which were really cool to see. There was a glass window where you can see onto the packaging floor. The day I went, production was closed so I didn't see it in action. I did wish I was able to see the production floor (how they make the candy). There is a video that does show you the process but it would of been cool to physically see it. The store had dispensers, candies, and other memorabilia you can buy. I personally didn't see anything I really liked but if you do go with children, I'm sure you'll love it.
google avatar

Yelp
Went with my friend on a whim. Such a fascinating place. I never would've guessed how much history surrounds PEZ candy. Do yourself a favor and go.
google avatar

Jen W.

Yelp
Ha! I had NO idea this place was here. We were zipping down the road when we saw the sign and took a quick turn-off into their parking lot. Well then, lets go get some PEZ! Sadly we arrived just before closing so there were no more tours but they did let us in the look around and we bought some gifts. They have an assortment of PEZ dispensers on display from throughout the years. Did you know they have whole collections of items? Famous people, cartoons, Star wars figures and so much more. I have to say my favorite display item is the pop-gun to shoot PEZ into someone's mouth. HA! Sounds like a good way to choke, but an absolute blast until then. Purchase PEZ candy for your dispenser, or a big tub of loose candy to enjoy without the dispenser, or get yourself a whole set up. I got me some Harry Potter PEZ dispensers and candy. We enjoyed the parts I was able to view before they closed. This is the sort of Americana we love! Definitely need to come on back here to take the tour. Such fun!

Yelp
PEZ Visitor Center is a really cute place to stop by. It is great for families or if you are a couple. My husband and I paid $10 together ($5 each) for admission and it comes with $4 store credit. They also had a close up activity card where we had to guess which PEZ character the picture was and if the answers are all correct, then you get to spin a wheel and choose a free PEZ at the end. It was a walk down nostalgia lane looking at all the different PEZ designs. The trivia and matching game was fun as well. I thought it was really cool that they had Money Heist PEZ dispensers too! I definitely recommend stopping by if you have time. It is definitely affordable and a fun stop.
google avatar

Britt M.

Yelp
While PEZ candy certainly is not the economic engine of our country, the history and novelty of this collection tucked in an industrial park offer a more nostalgic bent to the immense consumer culture that has overrun our capacity to reflect. But anyway, nothing to see on the outside, but go in and see all pop culture collections over the last century and the viewable factory. They give you back part of the meager admission for the gift shop so we now have the Harry S Truman and Darth Vader collectibles. It's right off 95 if you need a pit stop for the kids when traffic is crawling:)
google avatar

Marq L.

Yelp
Lots of fun lots of memories and lots of Pez dispensers was worth a stop. Not really out of the way and the kids will go nuts.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
We had a great time!! It was a fun thing to do for a cold afternoon. Lots to see and overall great experience.
google avatar

Darryl H.

Yelp
Surprisingly fun and entertaining. We didn't have much in the way of expectations going in, just looking for something to do on a rainy day. But this ended up being really fun. Kids had a good time. Wife and I loved all the nostalgia. And it was relatively cheap, even for the gift shop stuff. The fill your own bucket of any flavor pez was definitely a hit.
google avatar

T H.

Yelp
This is such a fun place with so much background history of how it started and how they make these candies. I came here with my family and we all enjoyed it. There is interaction games to play. They're so much from all the years that they been in business. The small gift shop has a variety of these Pez candies to buy. Upon paying they give you $2 each ticket purchase and a lantern to keep. This place is awesome.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
So fun for the kids and a cost effective outing for a rainy day! It was fun for all aged kiddos. My 3 year old loved it and I also saw teenagers and adults enjoying themselves.
google avatar

Rebecca V.

Yelp
We had so much fun here!!! What a lot of nostalgia. The entry price was well worth it!
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
I felt like a kid again. It was such a fun experience! The $5 entrance fee includes $2 of credit toward any purchase and a cute lanyard. Upon entering, you can grab a scavenger hunt card in which you search for the missing letters that are hidden all over the center. If you're able to fill in all of the missing letters, you get a prize at the end of your visit! The center isn't huge, but I spent an enjoyable hour here. I definitely recommend it!
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
If you are on a road trip with kids and are driving by the Pez Visitor Center- this is a great stop. We stayed 25 minutes. Bathroom, played the game, let the kids pick out a couple Pez and got to spin the wheel for free dispensers (souvenirs for the cousins!). It was $18 to visit but we ended up getting 8 Pez dispensers for only $2 more after getting 4 free and $2 per person towards the store. Would I travel out of my way to visit? Probably not. But this was a really fun pit stop for a family!
google avatar

Jennifer D.

Yelp
If this place doesn't make you smile there's probably something wrong with you. Whether you love PEZ candies or not this is still a fun place to visit. From the minute you pull into the parking lot, you're greeted by the PEZ sign that looks like three giant rolls of candy, the fun begins. The visitor center is colorful and cheery as soon as you walk through the doors. Admission is $5 but includes $2 to spend on anything. It also includes a lanyard. Inside there is all kinds of memorabilia from PEZ dispensers to a custom PEZ motorcycle. Make sure to grab the scavenger hunt paper when you walk in. You can score a free PEZ dispenser when you identify all the pictures. My kids LOVED this! While many of the items are for display only there are plenty of items for sale. The thing I thought was the best value and that my kids went crazy for was the bucket for $5.99. You take your bucket to the wall of PEZ and fill it with whichever flavors of candy you like. One thing to note this is more like a roadside attraction, not a destination. Don't plan a full day visit around this place. There is plenty to do in the New Haven area or within an hour drive to enjoy though.
google avatar

Marissa R.

Yelp
Home to the biggest PEZ in the world! The PEZ factory is an affordable and fun experience. It was a walk down nostalgia lane, and I enjoyed the mini-games such as the scavenger hunt, trivia, and the memory matching game on the console upstairs. Come here to visit by yourself or with young ones. I bought some Pokémon PEZ before heading out with a new appreciation of PEZ!

Patti P.

Yelp
Great visitor center!!! Loved it!! I remembered my childhood and how much I loved PEZ.
google avatar

Danielle D.

Yelp
Love visiting the Pez Factory! Took my little ones here over spring break & they were amazed watching the pez making process & seeing all the different kinds of dispensers on display! There are cool interactive games & lots of fun facts to read & share. You pay a small fee to enter but they are kind enough to give you a credit towards a purchase in their shop which is awesome! My kids loved picking out fun dispensers you don't normally see in stores. Very affordable and definitely a must visit if your kids love pez like mine do!
google avatar

Jean Y.

Yelp
Fun place even if you don't care much PEZ. If you are a PEZ collector, this place is a must. We made a tour reservation for 1:30PM last week. Tour was short but pretty educational. We each got buckets of PEZ, and happy. Who knew there are all kinds of characters as PEZ dispensers! Good thing they didn't make movie star dispensers, yet. Anyway it's fun place to visit for all family.

Gen S.

Yelp
We stopped by on whim because this was not too far off route from our road trip. We were disappointed to find there is an admission fee, but no tour. It's just a store with all the pez dispensers ever made a poor view of the factory. Can't say you're missing anything if you don't go.
google avatar

Melissa I.

Yelp
I'll be honest with you... I hate PEZ. The taste is gross to me and I never ever liked them BUT I always loved the different characters and themes for Pez. I really wanted to visit here for a long time for that reason alone. This place was so fun! It's only $5 to enter so even if you don't like anything there, it's literally $5 you won't go broke. You get a lanyard which I kept as my souvenir. You can also do a Scavenger Hunt which if you fill all the missing letters, you will get a PEZ. I didn't do this mostly because I just wanted to enjoy the experience and not search for random things, but my husband did do it and he got a Turtle Pez Dispenser. I loved seeing all the Pez's, all the prototypes, a glimpse into the factory. It's not a huge visitor center by any means, there is 2 floors but the 2nd floor is mostly for parties I'm assuming. It will take an hour or less to see everything, parking is free so yes... DEFINITELY check it out. Would I be back? I don't think there's a reason to come back since I've seen it and done it but yes, highly recommend.
google avatar

Susan R.

Yelp
Yes, this was kind of nerdy. I can't believe I had so much fun for $5. Yes, Pez are manufactured in Orange CT and if you visit on a weekday you can witness the factory in production. The air is infused with the smell of Pez. The visitor center is full of memorabilia and if you complete the Bingo card, you spin a wheel for a free Pez dispenser. Your $5 admission includes a lanyard and a $2 discount bonus at the gift shop. This is a happy place that will bring a smile to your face.
google avatar

Janice M.

Yelp
So much fun! Ok, so it was my first visit. Yeah...it might not be so much fun the second time around. That first impression though. The second you walk in the door and see the two story tall PEZ dispenser, you know your in for a wild ride. The price is right, at $5 for general admission, $4 for kids and seniors and a $1 discount for AAA members. Oh, and you get a credit to use in the store. On a rainy day, this place was a blessing for us. I was never a fan of the PEZ candy, but the dispensers have always intrigued me. I have known people that have collections, and this place would've blown them away. There is an entire story of history behind PEZ on the first floor. On the second floor you will find games for the kids, celebrity autographs, PEZ merchandise and an OCC custom motorcycle. The store offers a decent selection of dispensers (most around $2) and a bulk area to create your own tin of PEZ candy ($4.99). If you're looking for PEZ boxer shorts, socks or sunglasses...you've come to the right place!
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
Very cute!! If your a PEZ collector this is a must!! We sent about 1 1/2 hrs there. Families would like this. Staff are very nice!!

Donna N.

Yelp
Twice we visited the PEZ center with our grandkids - twice in two months. The center is clean, well managed, happy, and oh so nostalgic! I wish I had saved all mine when I was a kid! AND they give gifts! You can play a scavenger hunt game and find the PEZ dispensers and you win a prize for filling out your card correctly! And they give you store credit for just visiting! We had a blast. We have only visited on the weekends but we would like to go again when the factory is in operation. It brings out the kid in all of us!
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
Have driven by the sign on NY trips Oh my good for YEARS... Finally decided one day to stop in. Fairly close to highway - signs direct you right there. Its a super cute, small enough place. The day we went (and they might do this every day) they were having a free giveaway, and then they also had a Scavenger Hunt (some shitty little kid ruined it for my kids & yelled at them the answer) I wanted to slap his mom as she laughed, OK Woosa.. The place is full of Museum like Pez, when the factory is in session you can watch them making right there through the glass. There are a few sections to purchase and LOTS of cool things, prices are low so not hitting on that Touristy price trap stuff. There is also a pick your own color tube or loose Pez at the back of store so you can buy a GIANT BAG and not have to deal with the little impossible to open easily wrapper. We got some free swag too, Will def stop in again on another trip!
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
The PEZ visitor center is definitely more that than factory tour. The window to the factory is there but you can't really see much because they work so far away. Besides that, the inside houses all of their PEZ dispensers throughout history and has a lot of cool novelty products in display, including giant PEZ dispensers and other toys. The chopper was cool and the PEZ seats are definitely one of a kind. It cost 5 dollars to go in but you get 2 dollars to spend on anything in the store (that's enough to buy one PEZ dispenser!) Overall spent about an 45 min to an hour here just wandering around and doing the scavenger hunt which made it more fun. Seeing their different dispensers was interesting in itself. Not a fan of the candy so much, but the dispensers are definitely iconic. Worth the detour if you're in the area!
google avatar

Kellie R.

Yelp
CT is known for their PEZ factory/museum (at least, that's what I've read). I visited PEZ randomly on my way up to Ikea. It's cheap to visit ($5/per adult, $4 seniors, $4 ages 3-12, under 3 is free). If you do the scavenger hunt, you get a free PEZ. The main floor is huge and filled with a ton of facts about PEZ. They have so many PEZ from past to present. It's really a PEZ museum. The staff are friendly, restrooms are clean, and overall, it's just a fun place to visit if you are on a roadtrip or have time. It won't take more than an hour to get through. Parking is free and plenty. It's a one time visit sort of place unless you're taking friends and family for their first visit. So in short, PEZ is a fun quick visit when passing on through.

Yelp
I have a sweet tooth and taking a quick detour off I-95 to visit the Pez Visitor Center was an excellent choice to see something different. The visitor center requires a $6 entrance fee per person and is attached to an actual Pez manufacturing facility. When you enter the building, you can see Pez benches and Pez décor. After paying the entrance fee, and going through another set of doors, you'll see a giant Pez boy. There's a button that you could press that would make the boy's head go backward and a giant Pez candy would come out of the neck. This was fun and disturbing at the same time! There are two floors containing almost every Pez dispenser ever manufactured. There's also a small history of Pez display, which tracks the evolution of Pez. I felt that the best highlights of this visitor center were the earliest Pez dispensers, the collections of superhero Pez, the Bill and Ted dispensers, the selfie area, and the international Pez dispensers. I also enjoyed viewing the Pez motorcycle on the second floor. Alongside the right hand side of the visitor center, there are t-shirts, and various Pez items for sale. One of the best deals is the $6 "build your own bucket" of loose Pez that you could buy from various dispensers, similar the ones at M&M stores. As for kids, there is a coloring station and also electronic quizzes and matching games throughout the visitor center. For those who want a tour of the factory, I was told that you need at least 15 visitors to start a tour. The cost is $3 per person. From what I could tell, you don't really walk around the factory. There's just an windowed area adjacent to the factory with some equipment that they'll show you. The one last thing that everyone should know is that your ticket the Pez visitor center entitles you to a $6 credit toward any purchase. We used ours on the $6 loose Pez bucket and other items. All in all, we spent a lot of time at the visitor center, despite that fact that it isn't that large. If you like the minutia of looking at each Pez dispenser, you'll love it here. I just love the fact that it's a colorful, kid-friendly place with lots to see and buy. So take the detour off I-95. You won't regret it.

Yelp
I've loved PEZ since I bought my first one from a vending machine 45 years ago. This is a neat place to check out the memorabilia. They do charge admission, with a portion going toward store credit. Plenty of display cases and a nice clean visitor center with plenty of parking. I wouldn't make a special trip, as about 20 minutes is enough time to see everything, but if your driving through Orange on I-95 it's worth the $5 or $4 for kids to check it out.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
3 stars.. Fun joint for both kids and nostalgic adults. Small museum with bits of Americana to take you back you childhood. Play the game and get a free PEZ dispenser. Military discount!!

Yelp
I was making good time on Interstate 95 and decided to stop by the PEZ Visitor Center. This is a rather unique stop combining a factory tour, museum, and gift shop. There are several signs once you exit 95 heading back to the main entrance. The visitor center is somewhat small, but they manage to pack a lot in with historical PEZ dispensers and a historical overview. The admission charge is partially refundable in the gift shop, although many people just want to shop the store which requires a little negotiation with the staff. It is a quick and fun stop along the Interstate, especially those aficionados of pop culture. Their selection of dispensers is impressive and reasonably priced. I would not plan a vacation around PEZ, but its a fun stop with clean restrooms and great for the whole family.
google avatar

Larissa B.

Yelp
Excellent place for lovers of Pez. We didn't expect to stay as long as we did. There are two levels and the displays are full of collector, retro and specialty Pez dispensers. Many celebrities are pictured with their dispenser they signed and/or are holding. There is a cool scavenger hunt for kids and our grandchildren enjoyed it so much. It was a delight and we wouldn't mind visiting again!

Yelp
Great fun if you are passing by the exit! Or if you're a big candy or PEZ enthusiast -- it's a must-visit. The price to get in the door seemed a bit high but maybe I'm spoiled by the Ben and Jerry's factory. The coupon for the first shop helped soften the blow. Lots of Instagram-worthy sights and lots of American history to be had in looking at the evolution of PEZ over time. Looks like they are doing an upcoming photo and meet Santa session -- great way to give kids something a little more hands on!

Yelp
We didn't know this place existed until we saw one billboard advertising it. My oldest child LOVES PEZ candy, so we definitely turned in to check this place out. It's a cute little tourist attraction. It's not expensive! You can learn the history of the candy, see the variety of PEZ dispensers, and receive free candy. They gave us a card that had us look for certain PEZ dispensers through their small museum, and if you got them all correct you got a free dispenser. It would've been neat to be able to go INTO the area where they make the candy. The entire stop lasted about forty five minutes.

Yelp
Such a fun trip , if you love Pez. I couldn't give the Pez visitor center Yelps illustrious five stars , since there's not enough activities and interaction to keep busy for more than an hour. We bought four giant buckets of Pez candies, and I doubt that they will last more than a month in our house. (I don't personally care for them ...chalky candy doesn't do it for me. But my family goes nuts over it.) They were very accommodating with my service dog, and allowed her in with no trouble. Overall, the experience is adorable and highly recommend if you are in the area. OR if you really love Pez, you can make a special trip, like we did.

Yelp
I definitely wanted to smack my husband upside his head for stopping at this weirdo place It's like a mini pez factory I was very VERY annoyed that I spotted a Harry Potter collection displayed. I whipped out my credit card. What do you know- limited edition not for sales Well not you just annoyed me so much I cannot finish my Venti Carmel Macchiato and now I'm upset I never say no to my kid. I'll never hear the end of it Take my card, charge whatever you want, don't tease people with stuff they can't help I'd never recommend this place, it's stupid. It's a pez candy store Who the hell eats PEZ unless they are desperate. Don't go out of your way It's stupid. But whatever.

Yelp
Such a cute pit stop on my way to New Haven! To be honest the place is TINY. There isn't much to see, just one room filled with everything about Pez that you can imagine. For 5$ you get a Pez dispenser, entry to the museum and a name tag. They also have a great selection of dispensers there which are 1.99! It was so adorable to see but at the same time not something to go out of your way for, unless you are a Pez Enthusiast I guess! I had Pez in my childhood and I loved seeing every Pez out there- and I loved that the prices were still so incredible. A nice visit along the highway and I highly recommend if you have kids- I think they'll love it.

Yelp
There's a part of me that says it deserves a 5 star review. But really it is a one-roomed place with candy everywhere. Now don't get me wrong, we stop here every time I'm in town. I love this place and could spend hours here. The admission is a steal at $5 for adults and $4 for seniors/children 3-12. They also give you $2/person credit back to spend in their gift shop. Most single dispensers are 1.99 and you can also play their game to win another dispenser. On the back wall you can fill a bucket with at least ten different flavors. Upstairs you can find more fun stuff to look at, such as a bike designed by the guys from Orange County Choppers. Nice area to sit and great views of the displays from above.

Yelp
Pez is my all-time favorite candy so of course no trip to CT would be complete without a trip to the factory. Hubby and I got there fairly early on a Friday morning and it was already a bit busy but we still had an awesome time. The place is basically a giant museum filled with Pez memorabilia and even includes a viewing area where you can watch Pez being made. I loved seeing all the specialty dispensers but the Pez Chopper was my favorite, they even have dispensers featuring each of the American Chopper team. As much as I loved seeing all the cool Pez stuff my favorite part came at the end where you can fill buckets up with Pez flavors of your choosing, I left with 3. Definitely a fun place for both kids and adults and reasonably priced too (make sure to bring the $ off coupons you can find in local establishments).

Yelp
If you live nearby or are on a road trip with some time to spare, this is a cool place to stop to kill a half hour or so. Like someone else said, it's basically a gift store with facts and display cases, which at first you might think is a ripoff to pay to look at merchandise, but you do get a store credit and there are a lot of Pezes (Pez's?) on display. I guess during weekdays you can see people working, which could have been cool. I personally would not like to work in a factory while people watched me though. Despite Pez not actually being a great tasting candy, it's cool to read through the history and look at the brightly displayed colors. I would have enjoyed a guided tour, but my guess is it's not busy enough for them to justify hiring someone for that. And they were out of the presidential set of the first 5 (aka the best five.) So a neat little stop but not something worth a large travel to. There's not that much to see.

Yelp
If you are a fan of Pez candy, then you really need to make a trip to the Pez Visitor Center in Orange, Connecticut. It's over 4,000 square feet dedicated to all things PEZ! Go here and see the largest, most comprehensive collection of PEZ memorabilia on display in the world. I was able to add a lot of new dispensers to my collection!

Yelp
A fun roadside attraction type stop. Not a factory tour, and I was surprised there was an admission fee, but still worth spending 30-45 minutes. Admission is $5 and $4 for seniors. There's a AAA discount. You get $2 to use in the store, as well as a Pez lanyard for your admission fee. The acoustics are terrible so if there is a group of kids there it's pretty loud. The historical stuff was most interesting to me, including old packaging and advertisements, as well as promotional clothing that's one of a kind. The international products were cool to see too. They also have games to play, like a memory hand and trivia quiz. You can print off a certificate (free) when you complete a game. Totally for kids but I did it anyway. I'm not a pez lover, but I do like offbeat attractions when traveling! Most pez dispensers for sale in the store are $2, with a visitor center exclusive one that's $5.

Yelp
Take equal parts of a museum, a history of pop culture, a cruise down Nostalgia River, a big factory store, a working factory, and vibrant bursts of color, and you have the wonderful PEZ Visitor Center. It's an eye-popping collection of PEZ memorabilia, including a very cool interactive PEZ history display that delighted the kids I saw opening doors, touching screens, and spinning things. You can randomly explore the wonders, or take a self-guided tour. The memorabilia is grouped by subject matter - big glass showcases with dispensers for Superheroes, monsters, Toys & Games, Star Wars, cars, trucks, animals, Disney, sports, Christmas, Halloween, etc. Upstairs there's a party room for a Pez Birthday Party, and a Pez-themed motorcycle from the American Chopper TV Show. There was a contest yesterday, hunt around the center for various US President Pez dispensers, find the letters or words for each, and write them on a game card for a chance to spin the Pez Wheel for a Pez gift! Admission is just five bucks, but it gives you a cool Pez lanyard for your admission ticket and a $2 credit in the gift shop. Seriously, we had a freaking blast here !!
