"One of Barcelona 's most exclusive streets, Passeig de Gràcia is home to modernista masterpieces like La Pedrera and Casa Batlló as well as the massive luxury storefronts of brands such as Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Mandarina Duck, and Adolfo Domínguez. That said, you'll also find more affordable shops like Zara and H&M for mere mortals. This is a great place to perch on a mosaic modernista park bench and people-watch. The mix of wealthy locals, fashionistas, and tourists of all shapes and sizes makes it especially entertaining, even for Barcelona ."

Gaudí in Barcelona: Our Guide | Condé Nast Traveler

"In Barcelona, walk a block or two and you’ll notice that the city’s street tiles (called panots) are both ridiculously cool and varied. Property owners used to pave the street in front of their house until 1907 when the Barcelona council contracted out the job. Escofet, which won the contract, secured big-name contributions from architects Domènech i Montaner, Puig i Cadafalch, and Gaudí—there are 18 in all. To find Gaudí’s panot, head to Passeig de Gràcia. It’s a six-sided tile that, from afar, resembles the stony shell on a turtle’s back." - Gemma Askham

At first, see the old Barcelona, then move here - it’s a new part. Street full of luxury and Gaudi’s architecture. Lots of beautiful tenements.

Amazing architecture. Unfortunately been turned into a huge commercial and mass-tourism show. Slightly overrated. Still worth a stroll .
