Phaidon Beach Resort

Booked a three day stay in the honeymoon suite, arrived and the room was not prepared, had to ask for a TV, hot water kettle. There was insufficient lighting in the room with no light in the shower, the windows had no curtains had to use towels to cover for privacy. No wifi in the room and no transportation as advertised. Ants in the room had to be sprayed , large spiders and barking dogs along with their do do on the beach. Food was expensive so ate elsewhere. Place is in disrepair not like the photos taken 20 years ago. Would not recommend!

Price is not worth the place. Room is not well maintained. Beddings and towels are in poor state. Room and bathroom lights are insufficient. A huge spider fell from the curtain next to my window bed. Crabs and ants running around the floor. Owner should check the status of the Honeymoon Suite. They should clean the rooms before clients check in for we have booked days ahead. The staff (Em and restaurant crew) deserves to be recognized though for being polite, always smiling and accommodating. Also, the price for 1 slice of bread is unreasonable, 25PESOS PER SLICE.

It was a pleasure to find this kind of resort, so friendly staff which takes care of our kids. A very well maintained beach and pool and delicious meals what we got served. I only can highly recommend this place to find peace in your soul. Thanks to the team!

The resort is peaceful and relaxing. It has a nice beach front with powdery sand and an awesome sunset view. Pet friendly and, internet connection is available so you wont get detached from cyber world. Service is superb as shown by its enthusiastic staff. In totality, this holiday destination is awesome except for the needed renovation on some of its amenities and accommodation.

The beach front and sea is beautiful. Its clean and private, no crowds. good for swimming with young children. Unfortunately the resort is dated. Our room was dusty, the furniture is old, don't expect 5 star food but its ok. Its a shame because I'm sure in its hey day this would be perfect. It just needs a renovation and a good old clean. But for the price and budget and beach front its ok value. Unfortunately I booked for two nights, but it wasn't comfortable enough for me to stay 2. The staff are friendly and very nice. I am not a dog person, but there are some dogs around the resort and on the beach. They seem friendly, but my kids are scared..so this was a little issue. I hope the owner maybe will consider renovating, as I am sure guests would be willing to pay more and enjoy the lovely location. If you just need a place overnight and to swim, I would recommend.

Though our room is quite old but it was huge and clean. The food is great. The staff are very courteous and accommodating. We love the ambiance and the resort is quite huge where you roam around freely. I love their pool and beach area. It was so inviting to swim.

This is a nice quiet little place. With good food at a good price. Different types of rooms to stay in depending on how much and long you want to stay. I been here a month and can't wait to be able to come back. The beach is nice white sand. The water is clear, calm, and relaxing. Only down side is wi - fi goes in and out at times no fault of the resort. Electric and water go out at times do to rolling brown outs the Philippines is known for. Pandan is a 30 minutes tric ride and there's a bus you can take. Next time I will rent a motorbike or scooter if I stay this long again. The resort can also set up tour guides for you to check out different parts of the island. I'm sure I'll be back next year.

I have been to this resort a few times for lunch. I spend time in nearby Aklan province every year where we have a home and I love the location of this place. The beach is beautiful and safe, the resort is low-key with good facilities. I ventured over to Boracay a couple of weeks ago to see the 'improvements' - traffic jams, overly populated with tourists and stressful. We decided to go with my partner's brother and sister-in-law to Phaidon for the weekend. What an antidote to Boracay. Our first time to actually stay there was very positive. We loved our lodge and the pool in the evening was just perfect. I have read other reviews about the owner: it seems he does keep himself to himself but I, for one, don't want to fawned over and have to make small talk every time we meet. I agree that some prefer that style but I like to be left alone to my own business. This place fulfils that need for me. The male receptionist (sorry, I can't remember his name) was charming and extremely helpful. Next time we are at our house, we will go back to Phaidon for a relaxing few days.
