Best for a quick visit rather than a long stay.

Phantom Rock is a nice place to visit and the rock formation looks like a skull, which is very interesting. There is a good viewpoint from where we can see the entire town. Nearby, there is also a mining site to see. There is no entry fee, only parking charges of ₹20. Good place for a short visit and photos.

It's a quiet and peaceful place. There's a parking space near to the rock and from the parking the rock's a short trek away(50-100m max) through some bushes. There's also a small pond to the right. It's on the way to edakkal caves. Tourist can wind up this spot in 15-20 minutes...but if you're not in a hurry, it's a nice place to have a picnic on a weekend/holiday or chill with your friends.

In any case, this rock, which is about 50 years old, must have been formed as a result of thousands of years of natural erosion. It is a favorite among tourists and photographers. Seems it's a privately owned place and you don't need to pay any entry fee to visit there but they will charge you for parking your vehicle there

Beautiful natural rock formation and great views from the top. Calm place to relax and enjoy Wayanad’s beauty. The road is a bit rough but worth the visit!
