We sat in a beautiful setting, looking out to the river, having pre-dinner drinks. We managed to get a table on the outdoor terrace as we have been lucky with the October weather.
The food here is excellent. We've never tasted a prawn sauce like this one (sorry, no photo). The pork cheeks were excellent with sweet potato mash and the cheese and meat board utterly divine. The oysters were a definite yes from me.
The concept of this restaurant had us divided. The chef insists on the dishes being served one by one, and we were all to share each dish. We did and ended up trying dishes we wouldn't normally try, which suited us ladies, but the men were not so keen.
Having said that, l refused to share my dessert, which was a carob and chocolate ganache cake, and l thoroughly recommend it. The other dessert in the photo is the créme brûlle which my friend enjoyed.
My price is based on food prices only, which is worth the extra couple of euros for the view and superb quality of food.
