On the Grid : Pharmarium

"This restaurant and bar is situated in an old Pharmacy opened year 1575. It is heavily inspired from the antique pharmacy with strange and twisted ingredients. The food is accompanied with a signature drink to create an interesting mix. The drinks are really to die for and are served in the most interesting and passionate way we've ever experienced. Definitely the best cocktails in Stockholm along with one of the nicest signs outside. Best feeling is to sit in the bar since you get to see the damn fine masterwork as it's getting made!" - Snask

Pharmarium is hands down one of the most memorable cocktail bars I’ve visited-not just in Stockholm, but anywhere. Located in the historic Stortorget square in Gamla Stan, the bar feels like stepping into an old apothecary from another era, with dark wood, candlelight, and shelves of mysterious bottles setting the mood. The drinks are creative, bold, and beautifully presented. Each cocktail has a story behind it, often inspired by old medicinal remedies, and the bartenders clearly take pride in their craft. I tried the "Elixir of Life," which came with a tiny dropper bottle of spiced essence-it was unlike anything I’ve had before. The service was excellent: friendly, knowledgeable staff who were happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, perfect for a date or a special evening with friends. If you’re looking for a cocktail experience that blends history, flavor, and a bit of theater, Pharmarium is a must-visit in Stockholm.

Pharmarium is located right across from the Nobel Prize Museum, which makes it the perfect blend of culture and cocktails. We initially planned to stop for just one drink… but the cozy atmosphere, heated terrace, and incredibly crafted cocktails quickly convinced us to stay longer. Each drink was a surprise in the best way—creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented. A truly memorable spot with great vibes and top-notch service. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and drop by; you won’t regret it!

Google
Quirky, fun, and delicious cocktail bar! I almost wish it was more hidden as it has all the vibes of speakeasy while not being one. My favorite was the coffee drink, but honestly they were all the same and the staff will tell you all about all the drinks if you are lucky enough to be at the bar

Google
Visiting Stockholm from Canada & decided to pop into this place for a drink. Ended up staying much longer than expected because it was so good. Lukas was our Server, very well spoken and incredibly knowledgeable about the cocktails they serve. He made some very good recommendations and made our experience incredible. High quality cocktails, friendly staff and just a great vibe. I will be back again without a doubt.

Google
Such a cool place, felt like we were in a little fantasy world for the evening. We pre booked a table online (you have to! It gets so busy and is only small) and had the best time. We tried 4 cocktails overall and the experience of each was brilliant. The server and bartender both amazing with so many facts and clear passion for what they do. Can’t wait to come back! Love from London.

Google
Friendly and helpful staff, who clearly knew their way around their drinks. The concept behind the menu and the drinks is intriguing. However, the overall atmosphere was a bit reserved and quite touristy.

We walked in with no reservations on a Sunday right at open. Friendly staff, who let us in on a secret that 3 drawers open! The cocktails were unique and all very good.

Google
An old Pharmacy , the first in stockholm that is turned into a bar. So if you are a pharmacist especially you have to come see it. Very nice cocktails, new twists to some classic recipes , and a very nice atmosphere, especially if its cold outside (usually is here i guess) . If you come to gamlastan you MUST come and have a drink here. The stuff is very helpful and know their business . Prices normal for Sweden

Yelp
Great cocktails and service. Beautiful location for an afternoon out in Stockholm. Would definitely visit again.

Yelp
Just came in here for a few drinks before dinner. The vibe was super cool and the bartenders were incredibly kind. We sat right at the bar so it was cool to be right up where it was all happening and we got our drinks really quick! The drinks were good but they were all pre batched which was a little disappointing, especially when the prices didn't reflect that. I know that crafting a cocktail in that way still takes some work, but we didn't know going into it that the drinks were pre-batched which made paying ~$20 per drink tough.

Yelp
This restaurant is located where tons of tourists walks by so I expected it to be a tourist trap but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a very small restaurant like most restaurants are in Gamla Stan. I ordered the schnitzel with fries and it was very good. I would have preferred it a little less fried but the flavors were excellent. We also ordered a simple margarita pizza and it was very good. There was so much flavor in the dough and filling and they used quality ingredients. We also ordered their meatballs and they are legit. I'm pretty well versed in real Swedbank meatballs and they were top notch. They only had one single server on this day but he hustled and was very helpful.

Yelp
This was our favorite cocktail bar in Stockholm! I think consensus among our group is that we even enjoyed this place even more than Lucy's Flower Shop. The cocktails were extremely creative here, using specialized techniques such as milk clarification and infusions - but not just for the sake of showing off, but the techniques are used to elevate the drink to the next level. Each drink just made sense, and you can tell the thought that went to into the construction and recipe of each drink. Their classics are also impeccably made. Place was buzzing on the night we went (despite the cold weather and snow outside), and we got seats at the bar which we loved. There are also tables of varying sizes scattered throughout. For future reference if on a date, there are some two seaters along the window at the front of the place and adjacent to the bar, which seem like a delightful and intimate spot for couples. If you're looking for a good cocktail with perfect vibes when in Stockholm, you can't go wrong with Pharmarium!

Yelp
Slow service but expertly crafted cocktails. They have a large menu (with pictures!) in English that clearly describe what they can put together. We did not have food here just a round of drinks to celebrate a successful trip to Stockholm! After sitting for a while, the dude sitting next to us flagged down a server and let them know that we'd like to place a drink order. When he left and another guy sat down, we saw the same thing happening and so we flagged down a server for him. My friend had something purple and with blueberries. I had a simple gin and tonic with a Swedish gin and their house tonic. The drinks were tasty and other than the wait for service, they were certainly friendly. It is a fancy place with waiters and mixologists dressed like pharmacists/doctors. With that fanciness comes a bit more expense. [Review 18086 overall - 10 in Sweden - 1608 of 2022.]

Yelp
I'm taking off a star only because my cocktail was very watered down. I couldn't even finish the drink. However, my bartenders were very welcoming and attentive, I just didn't want to be the 'rude American' telling them how to make my cocktail. The ambiance was classy, luxe with beautiful dark and floral decor. I'd go again to give this place another chance.

Yelp
Housed in the space that served as the first apothecary in the area, this bar focuses on the essences and flavors of nature to elevate drinks. Reservations are highly recommended as the space is small. Drinks were very delicious and inventive. Bartenders and servers were nice. I loved seeing the apothecary drawers that are labeled with all of the ingredients they've used over the past ten years.

Yelp
Drinks were amazing. Service was outstanding And the ambiance was what brought us in

Yelp
Amazing and fun bar in the heart of Gamla Stan! Loved the drink menu a lot -- great and creative drinks, as well as non-alcoholic drinks. I went here with a bunch of coworkers, who kept flipping through the pages of the comprehensive menu. I got the MAPLE VERJUS SODA, which was wonderful and refreshing. Everyone else seemed pleased with their drinks as well. I also loved the atmosphere of the place, very classic while being extremely classy. Just be careful of the rugs! In our section, they kept coming up and people almost tripped over them.

Yelp
Third time was charmed. Went five years ago and was blown away by the quality and inventiveness. Went 18 months ago and much less so; height of busy summer and the bevies were mostly too sweet and just ... nothing special. Felt a bit like a college frat party. Almost skipped it, based on that underwhelming evening, but had to give it another shot late upon an icy and still midnight clear in January. Just amazing...Perfect soundtrack. Sat at the bar to watch the crew, which builds drinks with a bit of panache & showmanship. Started with their Whisky for the Holy Ghost and it was in fact a religious experience: Ghost bourbon, amaretto, Maurin Quina, bitters, salt and served in a chilled corked flask topped with smoke that lingered and really added to the ceremony & taste. My fellow penitents had tasty espresso drinks. It was the second round, however, that was truly memorable. I asked the mad genius behind the bar to concoct an extemporaneous "riff on a Sazerac." Maybe lost in translation, and ended up with more a riff on a vieux carre, but what a riff it was! Michters Rye, calvados in lieu of cognac, a healthy dose of some kind of floral bitters, a few other bitters and a sazeracky absinthe spritz. Guy said he had no idea how it would be, but it was freaking perfection! Skål, indeed.

Yelp
Excellent meat balls, fantastic Margherita Pizza, and wonderful Schnitzel. We all enjoyed our meal greatly.

Yelp
Just loved this place. Go Here. End of Review. Okay if you need reasons let me give you the run down. It's in Gamla Stan Old Town Stockholm so you get to tramp down cobblestone streets to get here, already fun. This craft cocktail bar just has it all- killer theme and intimate atmosphere, Check! Snackas available when munchie time hits? Double Check! Legit cocktails for the pyro in all of us? Bring on the smoke. We loved the seedy dark vibe with deep apothic greens, unmarked flasks of every variety, and vamp quality candlelit chandeliers. Their cocktail list is imaginative and intriguing.. as well as extensive. We went for the smokey opium jar, Imaginarium, as well as a couple others I must have been having too much fun to jot the name down of. We also ordered some snacks and I was excited to find gluten free options on their little menu. The husband ordered a seasonal flatbread with prosciutto which he said was great and I was really happy with the beautifully presented salmon they brought out. We had a great evening hanging out here until almost closing time. Our service was perfect and everything we sampled was excellent. Definitely a not to miss on your Stockholm adventure list.

Yelp
This was our 2nd cocktail stop on a Saturday night and oh boy, it was happening. But do note that they close at 1am. The menu was extensive and a bit overwhelming. I was debating between 2 drinks and the bartender suggested "Imaginarium". My friend ordered the "Pillow Case Cocktail". Wow, Imaginarium was out of this world. The drink required me to take a sip of the pearls out of the spoon with a sip of the drink. Pearls were a bit salty so the combination was very interesting. My friend's pillow case drink was champagne based. I thought it was just okay and nothing too special. Service was very attentive and accommodating here. Definitely add this place to your cocktail visits in Stockholm.

Yelp
This place is great because of the central location. The problem is there is no room, your jammed packed on to their patio. The drinks are okay. We've noticed tequila isn't big in Stockholm, they did have one drink that had it call The Pink Magic Flower. It was refreshing and not to sweet, watermelon based with a hint of orange blossom.

Yelp
Stopped in after receiving a recommendation from someone who is actually Swedish so we knew it had to be good beyond the usual tourist traps. First of all, the ambiance! Everything in The Pharmarium makes you feel like you just stepped into something from the likes of the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Deep rich color tones with dark ornate furniture; I was ready to experience some magic potions and I was not disappointed. The drinks: STELLAR. You can tell the mixologists here really know their stuff and care about what they're doing. Their cocktails are super creative and beautifully presented. Be prepared to experience cocktails and flavors you have never ever heard of. Half the fun is picking a cocktail you like the name of and finding out what it actually tastes like! We only had drinks here so I can't comment on the food, but if you're looking for a great cocktail experience in an enchanting setting this place is a must!

Yelp
Best cocktail bar anywhere. I am enamored by this place to the extent that I am at a loss for words... yet I may continue to ramble. Cocktails are of a level of sophistication unparalleled. When drinks are presented they are not only described, but the thought process behind each of the ingredients is detailed giving the feeling and impression that quite a bit of thought and time went behind what is in your glass. The food... Caribou Tartare presentation was matched only by the taste. The "Artichoke" was Jerusalem artichokes hasselback, with fresh wild mushrooms that was mind blowing. My reviews are usually more descriptive.. but any attempt to describe the experience will only pale and detract from it. It was a monumental feast that must be experienced... I made reservations for today as well... yea... that good.

Yelp
YES. ALL OF THE YES. Discovered Pharmarium while staying in Gamla Stan and our experience was so nice we had to do it twice. This is a dreamy little bar with a cool, cozy inside and a perfect-for-people-watching patio. We sat on the patio both times, but I could definitely see myself drinking cocktail upon cocktail inside at the bar during the colder months. Their cocktails here are little works of art. To be honest, I tried three cocktails while I was here but only remember the name of one: Mezcalero's Kiss. Very smoky and topped with flower petals--super into it. If you're into artful craft cocktails, it doesn't seem like you can go wrong here. Don't hesitate to ask your bartender for a suggestion, as everyone we had there spoke perfect english and had great recommendations. Yes, the drinks are pricey, but it's definitely work the whole experience. Don't miss Pharmarium while in Stockholm!

Cregan D.

Yelp
(Drinks review only; no food ordered.) Lengthy and complex original cocktail list with drinks made with attention to detail and ingredients. Short on classic cocktails though. Inside is cozy, well decorated, and smells like burnt herbs and flowers.

Yelp
On my first few hours in Stockholm I wanted to do some sightseeing in old town(Gamla Stan) and grab a cocktail. The concierge at the hotel said that Pharmarium was not to be missed. Sure it was a bit touristy but that's what I was! Pharmarium is the cocktail bar set Sweden's first pharmacy was once opened in 1575. They take inspiration from the antique pharmacy to create interesting libations. I didn't get to explore the inside of the bar as I had just spent too many hours in the airplanes/airports. The outdoor seating was just what I needed. There is table seating but it was packed so I sat in the communal outdoor lounge area. Smoking is permitted and it's a great place to people watch and grab a cocktail. I had a white wine and mom got a gin and tonic. Please note this is Europe so the pours are exact and pricey. All in all, not a bad 1st spot to hit after a many hours of travel.

Yelp
Recommended to come here from a bar manager at another fantastic bar in Stockholm (Melt, highly recommend there too). Good beers, great cocktails, really good service. Busy Saturday night but had three different servers/hosts come up to me in the ~1hour I was there. All really friendly. I drank a lot of whisky, so I can't really remember exactly what I had, but the new swedish/Australian friends I made kept stealing it so I think she liked it too. Go to Pharmarium, cool bar

Yelp
We were here as part of a tour, and we had about an hour to eat, shop, or walk around the town square. Thanks to fellow Yelpers, we found this gem. Unlike what the listing suggests, they are actually open for lunch. However, their famous cocktails are not available until 4pm. Upon learning our time limitations, our curt but friendly waitress suggested that we have the Swedish meatballs and the meal of the day, which was the salmon. We promptly went with her suggestions. Both turned out great, not to mention it was especially fun for me to have Swedish meatballs, one of my favorite comfort foods, in the capital of Sweden. The check ended up pretty reasonably also, with the two of us spending just a little over 300 Kronas (about $34+). We were encouraged to come back at a time where we can experience the cocktails. We will see if that can happen before we leave this beautiful city.

Yelp
Perfectly situated in a tourist hub of Stockholm, Pharmarium is a bougie cocktail bar with inventive drink concoctions that mix flavors and concepts out the wazoo. The presentations are understated, yet sleek. What they lack in glitzy presentations is made up for with dazzling flavor combinations. The blueberry nights was extremely tasty!! They serve food and desserts too and I actually thought the menu sounded really enticing, unfortunately I wasn't hungry enough to order anything. Come here with an empty stomach, order one of the desserts, make me jealous, but then tell me how it was.

Yelp
I will start off by saying that this bar is an extremely cozy, somewhat quiet bar that feels quaint and not very touristy. It is a few blocks off the beaten path of the old town tourist trap. My co-worker and I aren't huge tourist trap areas and tend to veer off the beaten path and this bar was a good find for that. I like how they kept the theme of being a pharmacy back in the day and the bar is built around that. We sat towards the back of the restaurant at a booth comprised of cushions and a server came and took our order which essentially was an appetizer and a couple of drinks. Order came out correct. For our appetizer we were underwhelmed. It sounded like it was going to be a grilled cheese sandwich like deal. It had cheese, but it wasn't very good and was sort of crumbling out of the bread. My co-worker ate the vegetable that came with it and said it was fairly decent. Neither of us were super excited about our drinks either. Maybe if we would have skipped the appetizer and gotten better drinks, I'd be more of a fan of this place, but I think 3 stars is about where I sit with Pharmarium. I did have some fun conversations with my co-worker here so If I came back, I'd get different drinks and enjoy the atmosphere.

Yelp
This is a very cute cocktail bar. It's located in Gamla Stan which is the absolute equivalent of Times Square. Yes, annoying... The bartenders are nice enough. I had the Bruja which had rum, mango wine, smoked oolong, and a few other ingredients I couldn't remember. The drink was tasty, but I expected it to be more boozy with the amount of alcohol it had in it. It more so resembled a complicated non-alcoholic punch. Ok spot. Maybe I should try another cocktail but I'm not too intrigued to do so.

Yelp
Out of all the places to drink, this place was the most recommended to us by all the locals. Walking in the place we felt instantly welcomed. The place has a beautiful interior design. Older and fashionable style. We were greeted by a friendly waitress (Matilda) and sat in the back on some very comfortable couches and chairs. The menu is very creative and unique like flipping through pages of a book. We tried the Touareg road house, night howler, and black olive rośe. All the drinks were delicious. The night howler got smokier and smokier the longer you waited. We also chowed down on the cod tacos which were delicious with various seasonings. My second drink was the rainmaker. It was garnished with smoked cotton candy to simulate a cloud, very clever and tasteful. Matilda did a great job explaining drinks and food for us. This place was very intimate and enjoyable. An absolute must hit if you are in Stockholm!

Yelp
5 Stars for the best cocktail bar in Stockholm! This review is purely for the drinks and the atmosphere. I just came here again this week and realized I have never written a review for this place! Which, is crazy. Pharmarium is AWESOME and really deserves a shout out! The atmosphere and decor inside the bar is mainly based off of the 18th century apothecary that was here at one time. The decor seems like a bit of a mix between that and a victorian opium den. The theme is delightfully carried into their eclectically illustrative menu filled with unique and almost alchemical feeling concoctions. Everything here is as entertaining as it is beautiful! Try ordering the whiskey cocktail that comes in a jar filled with birch smoke. It releases in the air when you open it! Other cocktails I have tried here have all been delicious interesting mixes using quality ingredients. With names like "Opium", "Cloud Nine" and "Imaginarium" how could you go wrong!? Side Note: "Crows Nest" really has been my favorite here so far, but it was on last year's menu. This place is a real crowd pleaser! However, I should probably say "small crowd" just to warn you that this a very small space. The smaller size really just makes it all the more cosy and perfect to meet up with a good friend or a new hot date that your looking to impress. Your definitely going to need a reservation in order to get a seat here. Go! Check it out, pick your love potion and fall in head-over-heels in love with this place.

Yelp
By far one of the best bars I've ever been to. The atmosphere and decor inside are based off of the 18th century apothecary that was once there. The decor seems like a mix between that and a victorian opium den. I am enamored by this place. The cocktails are on a level of unparalleled sophistication. As they present the drinks, the ingredients are not only explained, the thought process behind the drink is detailed. Very inventive presentation. I tried the Acid House and Imaginarium. Absolutely top tier.

Yelp
One of the coolest cocktail bars I've ever been to (in Stockholm, but really all over the world!). I had a solo night in Stockholm and was staying in Gamla Stan (the old town) and came in for dinner and drinks on my own. The menu is super awesome and they have food and drink pairings for every single item on their menu. I got the scallop pairing (scallop and Acid House cocktail) and though pricey, was one of the most delicious scallop dishes I'd had and the drink was also to die for. All the cocktails were super inventive (the one I had came with a tiny jar of pop rocks that you ate before taking a sip or the drink). If I ever came back to Stockholm I would come here again

Hanna S.

Yelp
don't be fooled by the clout and interior of this place, and also DO NOT get the velvet morning or electro love. these were repulsive. the service was also subpar with our server only coming around to take our order and deliver our drinks. save yourself $40 and go anywhere else. only giving it one more star above a one star review because the walls were cool.
google avatar

Louise C.

Yelp
I've been here twice now and each time I've gotten 2 cocktails from there beautifully illustrated menu. So far I've been able to sample 8 and they have all be fantastic! They are exactly what cocktails should be, a quirky experience that gives you value for money. The bar is located in the old town square, so very easy to find. The couch area is usually full so booking a table is recommended. The staff are friendly and love to give you a break down of what your getting! It's a snug bar but defiantly worth visiting even just once.

Yelp
This place deserves four stars for their overall presentation alone. The interior itself is dimly lit with a bar full of drink gadgets and beautiful lavatory area. The drinks are ordered from a pretty weighty bound menu and then carefully prepared by the bartenders. I would recommend this place to stop and relax a while and take in your surroundings.

Yelp
I have been in Stockholm for an overnight stay prior to a trip to Alaska and found the Phamarium through Yelp. The place is really nice so I agree with my fellow reviewers on this. The atmosphere is cozy and judging from all the couples around me it is a place you can bring your date to! As well I am sure he/she will be impressed with the place, now only you have to live up to the expectation . Since I was alone I took a place at the bar and watched the magic happen. The Bartenders are really good, although having been a professional Bartender I am more of a straight up Rum person. Watching these guys creating their cocktails still was a treat and I can guarantee you the drinks are excellent. It seems that they have a lot of home made bitters, syrups and juices and while they are fast they still pay attention to each cocktail! Top notch... presentation is as well really nice and they play with different form factors of glassware and garnish. Pharmacy style as it is what gave the name... Food, I had a Tartar and a Goat cheese, both were delicious and I guess you can take the ingredients from their menu if you wish. Plate size is a bit bigger than an appetizer for Europeans for US standards it might be an appetizer portion. They pointed that out when bringing the Menu (good, intelligent service). The ingredients of both dishes were atypical and very well balanced, no need for additional spices (for me) and they delivered a really unique approach to both dishes. Plating was nice so was the cutlery. They are actually using an Italian brand (Mepra) that we are using in our organization. As well they are using this in a bronze version that adds to the experience. In short they pay attention to a lot of details, I will be back I had an excellent time. Since I am not so often here I cannot attest to pricing, I felt it was worth what I paid.

Yelp
Pharmarium is one of many nice additions to the Old Town in Stockholm. In what used to be an area where only tourists ventured there are nowadays many nice places and Pharmarium is one. They have a really cool feeling space, looking like an old pharmacy and they made it feel really cozy. These days Pharmarium market themselves as a cocktail bar that also serves food. On my first visits here that was not the case (or at least the staff did not feel the need to highlight it several times) and then the food was then really good. Upon my latest visits the service was friendly but I felt a bit hesitant about the food as the waiter pointed out several times that the cocktails were the main thing not the food. We did still go for food as we were starving. The dishes are mid-sized and while the staff recommend 3-4 I would say 2-3 are enough. Each dish has a cocktail paired with it but I would perhaps look at what cocktail you think you will like more than the pairing they suggest. Some of the drinks are just too sweet for my taste so even if suggested with a dish I would go for something else. There is also a decent selection of beers and wine but it is not the focus here do would mainly opt for the cocktails. We ordered a mix of dishes at the table so had some pulled pork tacos (Vietnamese style), charcuterie, sweetbread & snails with bone marrow. I am not sure how to rate the food as it ranged from bad, to mediocre with some highlights so in general it was just not good enough. The tacos had a hazelnut sauce in them that just overpowered all other flavors. The sweetbread was served rare (intentionally) which just did not work at all. The charcutrie board was pretty good but in no way great or special. Surprising that the quality deteriorated so much as I gad superb scallops in the past. Wonder if it is a temporary glitch or the new level. At the table we tasted several ones. My favorite was the Gin and House Tonic, fairly standard but very fresh with hints of lemon and ginger. Roses and Gold was actually also very good, fresh and bubbly. The Dream Catcher with Gin, Lillet Blac, cucumber and rose cordial mixed together with Garam Masala house bitters was also a good mix, it also smelled lively if smoked wood. Last was the 5th Element, interesting but way too sweet as it was more like a liquid dessert but it was clear from the description as well so interesting but not my sort of things. To summarize cocktails are good and I would happily come back for a drink and then it is nice to be able ti reserve a table but I would avoid the food next time.

Yelp
Pretty pricey. But if you get over that part, you will love the cocktails and the tapas here. If you're into smokey drinks, try the night howler, and thank me later. And the dish with the tuna is SOO good!

Yelp
So I will start this review off with the summary: This place is all about the experience. Don't come here just for the cocktails, come here for the experience, and that has to include the food. This place seemed rather pretentious the first time I went. The cocktails can seem too complex and overwhelming at first sight. The cocktails were delicious, but I am more of a classic cocktail person, myself. The second time I went there we also had some food and that's when I realized how one needs to enjoy this place. Each cocktail has a corresponding dish. You don't have to order them together, but it is recommended and it's clear that the creators have put a lot of thought into it. The food and the drink pair perfectly, both in flavors and in concept. All of them have a certain feeling and story about them. The service was so incredible. The waitress really took her time to explain the thought behind the cocktails and how they are put together with all their complexity which pairs really well with the excellent food. We had such a wonderful experience and the cocktails really pair well with the designated dishes. I would definitely recommend this experience for others to try out. It's quirky, imaginative and so creative.

Yelp
Fantastic cocktails. Limited menu but everything we tried was tasty. Friendly staff. Sat outside and had some great people watching. Inside a touch stuffy

Yelp
Amazing place for amazing cocktails... One of the most creative bar menus I've ever seen. Very friendly service- will try to go there again befor we depart Stockholm

Yelp
Really fun and creative drinks. Food selection is small so it's more of a bar with snacks than a restaurant. You need to appreciated the cocktail revolution to appreciate this place. Try the drink with the fried moss!

Yelp
The therapy, w gin, green tea etc. Been here a couple of times, always very enjoyable.

Yelp
This is one of the best cocktail bars in Stockholm with amazing cocktails. This place would feel right at home as part of a hip district in London, but is available in right here in Gamla Stan. Be sure to let the bartender know if you are sensitive to strong flavors like bitters, licorice and similar, so you will get the best experience possible. Note: I have not tasted the food, but had drinks here on may occasions.

Yelp
Carefully crafted cocktails to perfection. My girlfriend and I are traveling from San Diego and there are many exceptional craft cocktail bars there, but this place takes it to a new level located in the square across from the Nobel museum, this quiant bar captures your attention immediately with it's classy sign and catchy name. Once inside, the lighting and ambience is perfect for a casual group of friends to meet up or an intimate date. The menus really stood out to me - leather bound pages of colorful artwork. This place really nails it when it comes to the drinks (the most important part!). I really enjoyed my bourbon based "Raven's Nest" as it was stiff, get balanced and allowed for all of the different flavors and aspects to shine through without stepping on each other's toes (this was a common theme for the drinks). At ~144 SEK a pop, I can't complain.

Yelp
Wanting to do something touristy but still hesitant to do something touristy on our day off from work, we compromised and went to one of the most touristy locations in Stockholm, Old Town. We parked ourselves at Pharmarium with a cold beverage and watched tourists wander around Stortoget in Gamla Stan. I am unsure if the drinks contributed to all of the waiters looking exactly the same (it is only when we were leaving I realized there were four different strapping young men) or if the dress code is so strict you are required to not only dress the same, but also don a well-groomed beard and luscious hair to work there. If it was the drinks, I commend you bartenders for being innovative and heavy handed mixologists. If it is such a strict dress code for staff, I appreciate the pretty service. Basking in the sun outside and people watching is a mere bonus to the creative and beautifully presented drinks available at Pharmarium. Overall, a recommended pit-stop in Stockholm.

Yelp
Want to impress a girl (or a gent, for that matter) on a first date? This is the place. Actually, I was the girl, and boy, was I ever impressed. If someone takes you out to Pharmarium, you know they've got class! (Or they're just shamelessly showing off.) The location is seriously perfect. Who doesn't love quaint, romantic Gamla Stan, with its glowing lanterns and cobble stone streets? Even in autumn they keep the terrace warm enough that you might be able to have a few drinks outdoors, enjoying the atmosphere. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, speak English without missing a beat, and are ready to go with recommendations depending on your tastes. There' s no need to be dull with a glass of wine - not with the incredible array of quirky cocktails here. (It's also a great conversation starter, helps you with the small talk!) The Opium drink with birch smoke is truly unique and provided ample laughs and conversation. We had four or five different drinks (combined) and each one was unique and tasty. The inside of the place is gorgeous too. Even the bathroom sinks are beautiful! It is a bit pricey. Well, a lot pricey. Seriously pricey. Let's just say I'm glad I was the one being wooed here and it wasn't the other way around. But hey, if you got it, flaunt it!

Yelp
I loved my experience here and the drinks are amazing. A New Yorker visiting Stockholm for 5 days, I popped in here with my mom for a drink and appetizers. Both drinks and food are exotic, but you find something that has a base you like and you just go for it. Service can be improved, but the bartenders are quirky and good spirited that I was able to get over it. Normally I'd take a star away for service, especially being used to Manhattan service, but my mom and I really enjoyed our time here and went back again during our 5 day stay. Pictures of our drinks included. Too bad I didn't take a picture of the reindeer tartar.

Yelp
Incredible cocktails. I came here from the states with a friend and I am so happy we stumbled upon this place. Their drinks are carefully crafted by experienced bartenders. Presentation is excellent and just watching the bartenders make the drink and being presented with something so fun is worth the price. We had 4 of their cocktails and each one was very different from the next and had such sophisticated flavor profiles. Try this place out!

Yelp
I felt so sick going here... Sick with love! Yes I am going all the way and giving this place a 5-star. Why? My experience was wonderful in every aspect. Location Convenient location in the heart of Gamla Stan easily reached by foot or subway from down town. I got the feeling there were mainly locals hanging out here the Saturday night we visited but I am sure they get a great mix of natives and visitors. Interior Dark wood panels, beautiful light fixtures and crystal glass makes you think you walked straight into one of Gatsby's parties. There is a long beautiful bar on one side of the room flanked by little nooks in the window sills or in the wall perfect for a romantic tête-à-tête. I even got impressed by the ladies room which means they spent some time decorating this place. It is not a very large bar which means it may not be good for larger groups as it fills up quickly. Drinks The menu is beautiful and creative and includes both old classics and perhaps soon new classics. Ingredients like birch and moss smoke, liquorice, and cloudberry jam offers traditional swedish flavors in their drinks. We tried three different drinks and they were all very tasty. Service Excellent. Friendly. Attentive even though they had a full house. I will have to come back to try their food to see if it is ambitious and healing as the drinks!

Yelp
Wow -- great date place. Super nice bar area where people aren't meant to come order over your shoulder, just an intimate seating arrangement. The place itself is really cozy, sitting in the heart of Gamla Stan. Great atmosphere all the way down to a really beautiful drink menu booklet. High fives for detail. It felt more like a smoke and mirrors establishment in one sense though -- I didn't get the feeling the waiter knew all that much about matching people with their ideal drinks, but instead how to sell their beautiful crafted liquid art. Still, it's great fun with each drink having a unique glass or presentation. The drinks themselves were good, though painfully expensive for a fleeting taste. Still, I rather vividly remember my experience so I guess it's worth it! I couldn't tell you much about the food but I would be surprised if they haven't put in some thought there too. I'll come back here when the time is right. Be aware it's not the sort of place you can easily just "drop in". At least not on the weekends. Check it out sometime
