Philippos Hotel is an excellent place to stay while visiting Athens. It is located right around the corner from the New Acropolis Museum and dozens of great restaurants. A lot of interesting sights and venues are within 20 minutes walking distance, making it extremely convenient. More importantly, I was very impressed by and grateful for the hospitality of the hotel staff. They were all very kind, patient, friendly and helpful, and assisted my wife and I without hesitation in exploring the city, booking a tour for us and making suggestions for various questions we had about Athens. They are all consummate professionals and I had a very pleasant stay here. Strongly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Philippos Hotel. The service was excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming, especially Efi and Ilia’s. Efi patiently recommended places for us to visit and even helped us book a dinner reservation, which led to an unforgettable experience — watching the full moon rise behind Acropolis, a truly rare and magical sight. Ilia’s was also very helpful, promptly assisting us in opening the safe in our room.|The hotel’s location is very convenient yet peaceful, making it easy to explore Athens while still enjoying a quiet rest. The room was small but very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was also delicious. Highly recommended!

We stayed 2 nights in Athens at the beginning of our Greece holiday. Our priority for selecting a hotel during this portion of our trip was location. We wanted to be in easy walking distance of the historic sites and neighborhoods while also enjoying a comfortable and quiet night’s sleep at the end of a day of sightseeing. Philippos Hotel was the perfect choice. The hotel is located on a quiet street while only a short walk to the Acropolis, the picturesque district of Plaka, and many good restaurants. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and typical in size for a big city hotel room. The buffet breakfast was a nice inclusion and a perfect start to our days in Athens. The staff is warm and welcoming. It is good value for the location.

I booked a room here last minute in May when our travel plans changed. We stayed in the Acropolis Micro Room with Terrace and while the room was small there was still plenty of space for our suitcases and the terrace was amazing! Direct view of the Parthenon and all. It was nice and quiet at night and my partner was very pleased with how well the AC worked. Would also recommend making a stop up to the roof deck at night. The front desk staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful in assisting us with dinner reservations and recommendations. The included breakfast was a nice start to the day. My partner is still eating yogurt with honey daily after getting hooked on it from the buffet 😅

Stayed here at the beginning of September for 3 nights so we could visit the attractions of Athens. This hotel is in a great location and in walking distance of all the main sights . We asked for a view of the acropolis as we like to sit out on balcony's of an evening to take in the view. We did have a view of it but not as clearly as we would have liked. We were allocated a 5th floor cornor room and it was really small. It was adequate but for two people sharing it could have done with being slightly larger in order to move around the room comfortably. The shower room was ridiculously small with a very small shower tray and the dreaded 'shower curtain' that clings to you .|The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was continental and we found enough choice to keep us going for the day.|I would use this hotel again, but would hope for a bigger room and shower . There is no tea/coffee making equipment in the rooms but there was always tea & coffee in the reception area along with biscuits. So a nice touch.

I had a great stay at Hotel Philippos during my vacation in Athens. It was well-maintained, well-staffed, and conveniently located, close to the Acropolis Museum as well as other nice features of the surrounding neighborhoods (both Plaka and Koukaki) like bars, shops, and restaurants. It's also close to public transportation and plentiful taxis (though the clerk at the desk also offered to call a cab for me when I checked out). The room was rather small (as I had anticipated), but very well-organized and functional, making the best of limited space; it was clean, well cared-for, and comfortable. The included breakfast in the bright cafe area was a nice way to start my days, and the staff were kind and helpful. I love visiting Athens, and I look forward to coming back!

Amazingly kind and accommodating staff and a wonderful continental breakfast. A perfect location in the middle of all of the Athenian relics without being loud. If you want more fancy, feel free to pay hundreds more. Taxi cabs are always available out. Front couldn’t recommend this place more highly!
