Overall, the stadium has a great atmosphere and looks impressive inside.
From an away fan’s perspective, however, finding the entrance to the away section was a bit challenging (though that might have just been me). The away section itself is decent, but the net obstructing the view can be quite irritating. Additionally, if you’re seated higher up, it’s difficult to see the big screen where key information like decisions and added time is displayed.
After the match, the exit process was fairly smooth, though we had to wait about 30 minutes after the final whistle before being allowed to leave.
The only real downside to the evening was that I was attacked and robbed on my way back to the hotel by PSV fans. Someone I know also had their car window smashed.
However, these incidents weren’t directly related to the Philips Stadium or PSV Eindhoven itself.
