Why do they call the 3% surcharge an employee wage and benefit fee when it is not payable to employees? It's pure greed. They put up a sign with small prints so no one pay any attention. I know airport food is expensive, but they try to skim more with a bullshit fee, and every food place does this at the airport. It's legalized scam and should be banned. Better bring your own food from outside.

Let's get real...airport pretzles I grabbed for a friend. I sat with a hot bag in my lap for hours on the flight home. It's probably good they ate them same day lest they go stale. The family pack of 13 in a brown paper bag feels so Philly. No box, no branding, just a bag and a bottle of mustard.

It’s pretty hard to screw up a hot dog, but you guys managed to do so… the pretzel was hard and the hotdog was cold and tastes like it’s been sitting out since 6am

It's great to find out that the 20 pack you bought all the way down in terminal F only has 14 pretzels... I always grab a family 20 pack on arrival and at departure, and I travel to Philly frequently. l hope that the 6 pretzels you shorted me are worth losing a loyal customer because I am done with you. So glad I left a tip 🤬. Pissed enough that I'll be disputing the charge with Visa. #pretzelgate

I definitely needed a small bite to eat between travel and Philly Pretzel Factory at terminal F was fulfilling indeed! Quick, kind customer service and fresh jumbo pretzels.

Combos only come with coffee. Asked if I could get a cup of water instead and was told no. Will not stop here ever again. Already paid for the combo....what's the deal for patrons that dont dink coffee? Horrible business model

Sierra at the Philly Pretzel Factory terminal F was a delight! Friendly and quick! Fresh and delicious.

Arrived at terminal f after a long flight, looking for a snack. I went to the pretzel factory, since I had good food at other locations in the past. There were two people working the kitchen. I first wanted a pretzel-dog, with no cheese, though they said it came with it. I was fine with that, but then they were out of cinnamon shakers, still fine: whatever. I finally got a cup of small salted pretzel bites with some mustard, and it was INEDIBLE. The first 2 seconds of eating were fine, and then I was hit with a strong chemical taste. It was a cold hard piece of bread with a chemical aftertaste and dull salt. I’m sure it’s nothing short of a military ration in taste. The only okay thing is the service. 0/10 - literally horrible.

Always a stop when I fly into Philly. Love true Philadelphia soft pretzels and these always hit the spot. Quick snack and for an Airport they are reasonable priced. Pretzels are shaped different and are smaller than traditional PA pretzels but they are still one of my favorite treats.

I mean, it's airport pretzels so I don't expect much. I grabbed a pretzel with cheese sauce here in between flights and it was okay - not great. I think I prefer the Auntie Anne chain. These were a bit dry and not nearly as well salted. The cheese sauce was nothing to write home about either. I'll likely pick another in-between-flight snack the next time I swing through Philly.

I love a good airport food stop This was perfect to grab a bag of pretzels for the flight and as travel gifts ! Who doesn't love a pretzel? The pretzels were fresh baked with a choice of dipping sauce . Service was ok. But nothing different from most food courts .

I literally just tried Auntie Annie's pretzel dog for the first time ever in life last Saturday and here I find myself again, having a pretzel dog, but from Philly Pretzel Factory. Honestly, I didn't find PPF's pretzel dogs to be as great as AA's, but they were pretty good. The pretzel itself was a little more harder in consistency than I would have wanted. I think maybe if they were a little fresher I might've liked them better. May have suffered the fate of being under the heat lamp too long. Nonetheless, I got two plain pretzel dogs with mustard and a delicious cherry slushy. The fries in the pic came from Tony Luke's btw.

This airport Philly Pretzel Factory was disappointing. The service was lackluster but no biggie as it's a short service encounter ringing up an order of pretzel nuggets and cheese. The main problem is the pretzel nuggets were so sad. They were obviously sitting out for a long time. They were dry and stale tasting. You would expect there to be some sort of policy in regard to tossing them out once they reach a certain point / time period of being out. Nope. Easily the worst pretzels I've had at a place that does only pretzels. Do not recommend unless you are looking for disappointment.

Mh pretzel was hot and buttery. The perfect snack before a flight. Service was friendly and place looked very clean. Loved my pretzel, just wish I had gotten more!

Dropped by here one day while catching a flight out of town. I ordered a pretzel dog with a cheese cup and a few pretzels to share with others when I got to my destination. I asked for mustard and was told I could buy a bottle of it or a cup, which was the same size of the cheese. Wait, I'm spending $14 on dough and can't get a GD mustard packet?! I walked to the burger joint next store and got packets. That's seriously insane. -2 stars for you. The pretzel dog was alright, yes, but NOT worth the $4.79 price tag. With airport inflation, I'd say $3.50 max. The cashier was super nice, albeit distracted by some TSA agent lingering around talking about his weekend.

Horrible overall. Was in a rush to get to a connecting flight and not having time to go somewhere and wait for food to be prepared, I came here for a couple of pretzels to-go. I greeted the employee with a traditional, culture neutral "Hi, how are you?" Got a no eye contact, "Aw-ite". Asked for 2 plain pretzels. Was told, "We don't got pretzels". That is all I was told. Yes, I doubled checked to confirm the name of this place has "pretzels" in its name . . . it does. I asked if they have any other food items, and was told and pointed to "hot dogs", the kind that you find in gas stations rolling round-and-round rollers. I bought two and it was like biting and chewing rubber tubes. I have never eaten rubber tubes before, but I believe this is what they must taste and feel like. Will pass this establishment and find something in a plastic bag hanging on a metal hook at a newsstand the next time I arrive at this concourse and am hungry.

These pretzel nuggets were sad little lumps of dough, with the consistency of soggy cardboard and the flavor of stale salt and dawn dish detergent. And the pretzel dog? A depressing mess of rubbery bread wrapped around a lukewarm, flavorless mystery meat. It's a meal that makes you question where it all went wrong--for the restaurant, and for yourself.

Once again I am puzzled by food offered inside airport terminals and the associated service. I ordered and paid for two Pretzel wrapped sausages. After my transaction went through, I asked where are the condiments (mustard, etc.) I was informed, that's an extra $1.08. OK so the logic for telling me this fact after I've paid is what? Answer: laziness or ignorance.

Okay--where can you find a hearty airport snack for $2!?! I couldn't believe my eyes that they sell pretzels for only $2. That alone is why it gets four stars. It is not my favorite pretzel I've ever had, but you really can't beat the price and convenience. Definitely a place to stop for "souvenirs" if you're headed home. Again, I'm just shocked I could get a giant pretzel for two bucks. Add cheese for another $1!

Forgot to mention this quick, easy, and TASTY spot (esp. for breakfast!!) that I "discovered" during a recent quick getaway to Philadelphia. Though just about EVERYTHING tastes better on a pretzel roll, I goofed and got a bagel, which was ok too... Great coffee, quick service, and (semi) reasonable prices (for airport food!!). FINE choice for a quick bite when passing through PHL!!!

Perfect place to get a quick Philly Pretzel when on the go. Or even to take to your final destination. Prices are the same at the airport as they are at their stores scattered across the city. A very cheap little snack. Highly recommend them.

I arrived to the Philadelphia airport last night. I was exhausted, frustrated, and to make matters worse, my hearing aids had died during my previous flight. In other words, I had to rely on pen & paper & lipreading. Nevertheless, the restaurant worker, Anthony Douglas worked with me to make sure he had my correct order, at that when I signed, Deaf, he knew how to communicate with me. You would be surprised by the amount of people at restaurants that won't even bother with me. Finally, the food was fresh and hot, not lukewarm.

This is for breakfast only. Avoid. Everything is bust sitting around. Already cooked. The sandwich is lower end quality wise but it a cheaper option. Everything tasted slightly cold. I wish I had waited in line somewhere where else paid the 6-7 dollars more for a better breakfast but c'est la vie. Coffee is surprisingly good and hot. Wish there were some better options as far as milk went. Just chemical creamer. If you need something quick under 10 it's hard to beat it, but if you have time and money look for other options.

I frequently visit Philly Pretzel Factory including their locations in Center City and their Bryn Mawr location. The one thing I like about them, is there consistency. They always manage to provide a solid pretzel. However, this location served pretzels that were severely below their average. I came in today and as warmly welcomed by the staff. I just ordered three soft pretzels and they came out nice and hot. However, upon biting into one, I was really disappointed. The pretzel lacked salt, was dry, hard and lacked flavor. Obviously, I'm not expecting a South Philly pretzel, but this pretzel was just bad. The only things I really liked was the fact that the staff was pretty nice and that the pretzels were rather inexpensive. Due to the fact this Philly Soft Pretzel factory is in the airport someone will probably thing Philly pretzels taste like this. Well, they don't. Altogether, I think Philly Soft Pretzel serves a solid Pretzel, but these ones were just not good.

You'll find it where the Terminal F foodcourt intersects with the main corridor. Many variations and permutations of the classic Philadelphia pretzel. Plus pretzel dogs and pretzel spicy dogs. Pretzel dogs are a personal guilty pleasure. And the thought of a pretzel spicy dog was impossible to resist. For less than four buckaroos, the Philly Pretzel Factory delivered a good sized super spicy dog lovingly wrapped in a warm pretzel blanket. This would have been a good deal anywhere, but considering it was an airport deal, it was an excellent deal.

I got the #3 combo (cheesesteak filled pretzels with a bottled drink). It ran me $7.50. The lady at the register could use a little pep. After ordering a combo she robotically asked me if I wanted a drink. When I said "Doesn't the combo mean it comes with one?" She just said yes and looked at me like she still needed confirmation that I did want the drink. The drinks were in a fridge that were self serve. Once I got over there I realized it was only minimally stocked. It's 9am in the morning and you're already out of everything? Seemed to me like there was just little effort towards customer service at this location. The pretzels were good, but not great. I liked the concept but could have used more filling or a dipping sauce.

hello... generally airport food is over priced junk BUT for a pescatarian that was starving and I LOVE pretzels good hot pretzels this little place is in the food court its not a good idea to eat hot and heavy when your going to get on 13 hour flight right? ask for one pretzel its a big pretzel or get three for 3 .00 or the fancy ones I opted for one salt pretzel it was hot it was fresh it was darn perfect or I was starving but really I know a good pretzel when I eat one ask for one its only $1.50 and worth every single penny super friendly guy served me

Not worth it, try to plan accordingly and make a trip to a Philly Pretzel Factory before or after coming to the airport. Seriously, the pretzels at the airport are WAY smaller than regular stores. They also are much more expensive. Don't waste your time or money here. Side note: the employee who was working was very nice. Not his fault on the pricing & sizes.

Verdict: Ain't no pretzel like a Philly pretzel, even at the airport. This place is located in the outskirts of the airport terminals, in what seems to have the local food offerings. You'll also find the Tony Luke's right across the food court. Pick any pretzel. They're all good and unlike all the pretzel chains you see across the US. These are even pretty different from the Federal Pretzel variety you see at the stands throughout the airport. I recommend getting some normal pretzels to go and also getting one of the cheesesteak pretzel pockets for an immediate meal. It's the best of multiple Philly foods in one. Even though this terminal is at the far end, there's a shuttle that brings you right here from one of the more central locations. If you have the time and want an authentic Philly soft pretzel, this place is definitely worth the trip.

Closed when it should be open. How annoying. When it does open they expect you to wait for your pretzels because no one comes earlier enough to warm up the oven an start a batch.

Decent Philly-style pretzels that you can take on the plane--woot! I grabbed 3 pretzels hot out of the oven, so they were still fresh when I got to Denver 4 hours later. My husband, who didn't travel with me, was grateful. Not much else to say about this place--it's pretty straightforward. If you have the time, walk to Terminal F. The pretzels near my gate didn't look like good Philly soft pretzels.

Philly Pretzels is located in the new food court terminal at the Philadelphia Airport, in Terminal F. There is a shuttle that you can take over there from the other terminals, and roundtrip will probably take you 45 mins - 1 hr depending on how quickly you get your food. The pretzel was really good- crunchy exterior and soft/chewy interior with a good ratio of salt. The cheese sauce was also good, and went well with the pretzel. I will definitely come back for more pretzels if back in PHL!

First, I love hot dogs - so this place had a lot to live up to. And it did! I got a couple pretzel dogs with cheddar cheese, my spouse got pretzel dogs with the nacho cheese and spicy mustard. So, not sophisticated eats but flavorful and it hit the spot. I thought the prices were decent for being inside an airport terminal. Service was quick and friendly. I'll remember this as a great option next time I stop through Philly's airport.

Had a layover in philly and I tried the pretzel stuffed with philly cheese steak. It was actually pretty good for when you are on the go.

I LOVE the new food court at Terminal F. What a great variety and a huge upgrade from the previous food options. Having a Philly Pretzel Factory franchise in the food court is an awesome option for travelers heading through Terminal F. All of the convenience and yummyness if Philly pretzels without the added "flavor" of exhaust and pigeon dust that you get from street vendors. The stand also has nuggets (in both cinnamon and traditional), pretzel sausages, pretzel dogs, and pretzel cheesesteaks. They have dips at the left end of he counter, so don't feel the need to buy a dipping sauce. However, the thing I like best about taking a pretzel snack on a flight is that they bag it up well and the smell will not annoy your fellow passengers.

Nothing fancy, a basic food option in the food court at PHL if you want to lay down a nice base of non-wacky food before your flight. Pretzel was fine, but of course you pay airport prices compared to if you went to one of their locations outside of the airport. I'd consider it again if I wanted to grab a small bite before a flight.

Hours list opening at 6:00am. 7:00am with a window full of pretzels and I was told they were still closed. Sooooo...is terminal F in central time? I mean if so, I totally should exploit that for American connection times.

Although my flight was leaving from gate D6, I took a walk to the F concourse. I've been to Philly several times but never had a cheese steak sandwich. Well, I had time before my flight and according to reviews, Tony Luke's isn't half bad. There's another review for that :) I wasn't that hungry for lunch yet and the smell of pretzels made me want one. Fresh, hot, just the right amount of salt and wait for it.. airport pricing seems to be forgotten. Like a dollar fifty for a regular sized one that kept me full for 2 hours. Totally worth the 1000 extra steps.

I found Philly Pretzel Factory in the main food court of the F terminal at PHL airport. $1.50 for a pretzel was a good deal and killed the hungries. Not too soft, not too firm. It did need mustard and I knocked off a ton of the salt.

Very impressed. Line was crazy long, went quickly and it was worth the wait. I got a large coffee and a sausage egg and cheese pretzel breakfast sandwich. It was delicious! I was a little skeptical since it was pre made, I had a feeling it had probably been sitting under the hot lights for a good amount of time but it tasted as though it was made on the spot. Would highly recommend!!

"Phil-a-delphia Pretzel, shine on me" I am a big supporter of the trend of local restaurants at airports. It's usually not as good as venturing out to the original location from both a culinary and vibe standpoint. However, it adds some local flavor to boring stopovers in generic airports. Having a few hours to spare at Philadelphia International Airport I checked out the big map and Philly Pretzel Factory was calling my name. The location is at gate F and I was over in the gate A-C area. In order to not have to pass through security again they have a shuttle BUS. The bus scenario was a bit dicey. You wait indoors but once it arrives you walk outdoors to meet it and it goes out on the tarmac and drives between the two gates. Round trip with 2 bus rides and getting the pretzels was about 40 minutes. Now, was it all worth it? Yes, if you believe the exploration is part of the fun. They have a lot of offerings like pretzel dogs and cheesesteak pretzels but I had no interest in trying those ambitious options. I went with the standard pretzels at the low price of 3 for $3. They serve it with all sorts of dipping options but again, as a pretzel purist, I went with the spicy deli mustard. This was an excellent pretzel, salty and slightly crunchy on the outside. Soft but still chewy on the inside. The one thing that stopped it from being perfect was the freshness. I am not sure if the factory for the pretzel is in the airport or off-site but while my pretzel was probably made that day, it was not fresh and hot right out of the oven. Sadly, like Philly's Hall & Oates my pretzel had already reached it's full potential and was just hanging on to the respectability of its past greatness. Also, an FYI, there was another local legend Tony Luke's in the same gate area so that will probably be my destination if I am in the airport again.

Philly pretzels are a culinary experience everyone visiting Philly should experience. They are unlike anything in the world! $1.50 each or 3 for $3.00. They are located in the food court. Doooo it!

Waiting for next flight and wanted something Philly but won't cost an arm and a leg, so tried this place out. I had the Philly pretzel bread, it looks like and taste like a pretzel hot pocket but bigger and better! You have variety of sauce to dip in like cheese, mustard, spicy and hot mustards. Very good ...cost $5 and it was enough to get u full

What a joke. Cortland kinox had a major attitude before I even asked for 3 pretzels. I told him to smile and he ignored it and continued with the attitude. Hands the bag to me and they are hard and not hot so I asked for fresh ones. He stormed away and ran his mouth to the guy in the back who came out and asked if I'd like 3 fresh ones. I didn't do anything wrong or ask for anything unreasonable. He should have apologized and offered that. There are people who would love to have a job, but instead they employee knit whits like this that are rude and have no customer service serving people. I love these pretzels but they are best fresh and hot. Thank you Matt for being kind and making me new ones

These may be the 'true' philly pretzels, but they are not as good as the ones from the Amish bakery at Redding's Market. The pretzel was hard but had the right amount of salt. I suggest getting a dipping sauce and drink to go with it

I am only rating this experience based off of one time being here and only eating a regular salted pretzel. I wish I had a good experience here like most of these reviews. I'm not from the philly area but have always wanted to try this pretzel because of their episode of undercover boss. After watching it i thought it was a great company. I think that their airport should give out a good and consistent pretzel with all of the travelers they encounter. But my pretzel seemed like it was sitting out way too long and was not fresh. It was a huge disappointment for me with the food. My guess is that it was just wasn't a good batch but again I m big on consistency and they missed it this one time I tried it. My guess would be that other have people have tried it just once too while they were traveling but won't try it again if they could.

Beware. Food can be hazardous to your clothes. I was traveling to a funeral. Brand new shirt and tie. During my layover I went to grab a bite. The philly cheese stake pretzel sound good. No where I'm the process was I provided user instructions. I bit into the pretzel and molten cheese goo spewed onto the new shirt and tie. It was like it had been filled with soup. Clothes were stained and to go shopping when I landed. Not on my original itinerary.

Nice workers however tHe pretzels were hard and dry. Flavorless and the bottom of the cup was soggy.

How did I just order 13 pretzels and a full bottle of spicy mustard for $10? At an airport? That also included a handy box with a handle for easy transport. $10, at an airport! I felt like I stole something!

After spending a few days in Nashville and being on a rather bumpy flight. I decided to celebrate being home with a pretzel from the Philly Pretzel Factory in the airport. My first bite into my pretzel I knew it was good to be home. If you are reading this and your not from Philly. You have to try a Philly Pretzel! You can have an original, cinnamon sugar, etc., and there are plenty of dipping sauces. Also, there are pretzel bites and pretzel dogs. A pretzel dog is basically a hotdog with cheese wrapped in a pretzel. Give it a try with some ketchup.

For airport food this snack food was great and the prices and service is awesome. Super professional, military friendly and great staff working especially for an airport
